Tirtagangga is a former royal palace on the Indonesian island of Bali in the province of the same name. Tirtagangga is known for its water gardens. It is a beautiful place to take beautiful photos. You see people posing everywhere.

It wasn't hard to find, right off the main road. There was a large parking area in front. We were served a welcome drink. The rooms were huge with bathrooms also large. We did not have a lot of time at the hotel, arriving late and leaving early the next day but the stay was comfortable. The aircon worked well. There was even an attached "kitchen" area with a fridge. I guess you can self-cater if you stay longer. The restaurant served ok food. Not the best but passable. For the price it was good. Breakfast was included and had the usual Indonesian and western choices. Disliked You need to run the shower for awhile before the hot water runs.

My wife and included this location on our trip to Bali. I must say I was totally surprised at the beauty. Mr Windra picked up my wife and I and took us to the location. When we arrived the villa was set up with flowers congratulating my wife and I on our anniversary. That was such a special touch. At 6 pm you will have the entire palace/ water garden to yourself. As for restaurants there is one directly across or one to the left or right from the location you can walk to either. Note they may close early by 8pm. If I would change anything it would be to add pugs so that if a guest needs to charge anything it is possible

Quite a bit of fear in advance after certain reviews but it was unjustified! What a unique place! Spending the night IN the water palace where you can still walk around alone after closing time... what an experience! The villas - we had the Marble and the Lion. The Marble was the largest/most beautiful. Very unique bedroom, with a view of the water palace. You feel like you are in a movie. Restaurant in the area is very good, do let them know upon arrival that you want to come and eat. Breakfast in the villa is mediocre - tip: order enough. But above all... book!! Really do it, you won't regret it.

A beautiful piece of Bali. Two large ponds, where carp swim. You can walk into the water over large stones. The pagoda sprays water and is an eye-catcher of the water palace.
