Great view, corner room with a nice balcony. Great shower with lots of heat. Very close to the boat and train.

This is how a five-star hotel is supposed to be. The rooms are not brand new but very well maintained. The breakfast by the river is just so relaxing, there are a large variety of food, and the quality is also high. The hotel garden is by the river and very pleasant for an evening stroll. Since the BTS is just next to the hotel, it is the most convenient hotel that is located by the river.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in Shangri La Bangkok. The smell of freshness as we entered the lobby really mesmerising. The room was great as we choose a room facing the river. So we enjoyed the view at night without even leaving our room. The location is great as Icon Siam is just across the river and a free boat service is available every 30 minutes. To sum up, I really had a fantastic vacation at Shangri La Bangkok.

The hotel has a swimming pool overlooking the river, is close to the boat stop to access temples and chinatown and is also close to the BTS subway so very practical. There have good service's and the staff is very friendly.

It's a great hotel. The location of the pool and terrace at the river is amazing. Breakfast has everything for every culture. Rooms have fantastic view. The people make you feel welcome.

Great location, its by the river and you can take the boat to Icon Siam which is just opposite to the sea. The hotel room is a bit old though definitely not the modern new hotel style. Overall its good experience

I recently stayed at the Shanghai la Bangkok, and I must say that the hotel is in desperate need of renovations. While the overall cleanliness was satisfactory, there were some noticeable issues that affected my experience. One of the main concerns was the smell of the carpets, which seemed a bit stale. In fact, upon arrival, I purposefully left the closet open because I was worried that my clothing would absorb the unpleasant odor. Another aspect that left much to be desired was the staff's performance. They were generally slow and inattentive. Every morning, my colleagues and I would order simple black coffees at breakfast, but it took at least three attempts before we finally received our orders. It was quite frustrating to have to wait for such a basic request. Furthermore, the staff rarely made an effort to observe the needs of guests in the lounge. Instead, it was necessary to interrupt ongoing conversations or actively search for staff members to address our needs. Lastly, the quality of the food offered at the hotel could certainly be improved. The overall taste and presentation were mediocre, failing to meet the expectations I had for a hotel of this caliber. It would have been wonderful to have a more satisfying culinary experience during my stay. In conclusion, the Shanghai la Bangkok is in dire need of renovations. The carpets need to be refreshed to eliminate the stale smell, and the staff should be better trained to provide prompt and attentive service. Additionally, enhancing the quality of the food would greatly contribute to a more enjoyable stay for guests. I hope that the management takes these suggestions into consideration in order to enhance the overall experience for future visitors.

The location of the Shangri La is super great and close to the ferry boat station and one Robinson convenient store. The breakfast selection is alright. Unfortunately the hotel is already a little bit old and we had bad smell in our room. Also rainforest shower was not working and the complete hotel need to be renovated.

Excellent, excellent service from all of the staff! Great location and facilities are very clean. Very comfortable bedding in the room. Cleanliness was excellent! I would definitely return.

Good things: 1. good location, right next to the BTS station and public Sathorn pier, also never any difficulties in calling Grab/ Cab to the location 2. Hotel shuttle boat available to and from ICONSIAM 3. Nice river view from my deluxe river view room with balcony 4. Typical 5-star hotel breakfast buffet with great variety of delicious food 5. Nice swimming pool with river view Downside of my stay: 1. Disappointing check-in process. Told rooms not available even though we arrived 30 minutes after the scheduled check-in time. Was told to wait for 1.5hr for the rooms to be ready or opt for rooms that were far from each other at a lower floor 2. The hotel is dated with old furniture and facilities 3. Doubtful cleanliness with dusts all over furniture

Shangri-la has been around for a long time. Parking facility is a bit dated but the overall hotel experience is what you would expect of a Shangri-la… world class hotel with excellent service and top notch food choices. Definitely would make a return

The view from our room was amazing and duty manager who’s a lady during our stay was super accommodating and friendly. Totally recommending this.
