"We stayed from August 12th to 15th.
It's close to the downtown area and has bicycle rentals (1,000 yen per bicycle for 2 hours, with a 1,000 yen refund upon return. They also have parent-child bicycles), so we were able to have dinner at an izakaya about a 5-minute bike ride away. We went to an izakaya that offers complimentary service when you stay at the Vessel Hotel, so we got a free drink, which was a great deal! โ
The lobby and rooms were clean, and the interior was a lovely Okinawan light blue theme.
The lobby offered free welcome drinks and ice cream, which the kids loved. ๐ต
The staff were very friendly, and although breakfast was very crowded (since our ferry time was approaching), when we told them we'd eat in our room, they quickly found a seat for us, which was very helpful!
There was a sanshin live performance in the evening on August 14th, and many guests came to see it. โ"

The hotel is very clean and tidy, and well located. Itโs a short walk to the pier (where you take ferries to other islands) and to restaurants, bars, shops and the local public market. The staff speak some English and are very friendly. They will go out of their way to help you.

There are 3 different buildings in this hotel, please make sure you choose the โMisaki Wingโ, as it is the newest building and it will face the ocean terminal side. The room is actually not that roomy, however, it is reasonably clean. Floor space is lacking for 2 adults with barely enough room to open two suitcase. However, I would recommend this hotel considering its prime location to the terminal and nearby restaurants. One thing to note is that, if you arrive at the hotel early before the check-in time, the hotel staff would not let you check-in early. Therefore, in the lobby, you will see many people waiting for the official time to check-in, and when the time comes, many people will line-up get checked-in. This is rather a chaotic situation and can be easily solved if the hotel can simply allow guest to check-in earlier. I was there 30 mins early and was told I cannot check-in and need to wait. But it was not a busy season and there are so many rooms in this hotel.

For a simple stay. The every day fresh baked breads were amazing. Ishigaki is not so small Island. For exploring on your own with full flexibility, donโt forget to get an international driving license. Restaurant, Bars and Shopping reachable by foot.

Excellent location near the pier with bus terminals. A little aged hotel but still maintained to be tidy. They provide a new set of towels if you put on the sign of โDo not disturbโ. Good balcony with stunning view. Helpful staff.

If you come to Ishigaki to run the marathon and want to stay in a cheap place, this is highly recommended. You can walk 25 mins to the start point of the marathon which is perfect.
