Ishigaki Hostels

"I chose this guesthouse because the price was ideal and it looked beautiful in the pictures. Staying here turned out to be an amazing experience, and it's a wonderful guesthouse. First off, the location is superb. It's a short walk from the bus terminal, which is the last stop for buses from the airport. The ferry terminal for trips to the remote islands is also nearby. Right in front, there's Ishigaki Village, a place with restaurants and standing bars. Pretty much everything else was within walking distance too. The owner, Shingo-san, is very kind, and you can tell he genuinely wants guests to have a good time. They had events like BBQ and curry (or ”Yuntaku” as they call it?) for guests to enjoy, all offered at a very reasonable price. Of course, participation was optional, and you could choose whether or not to eat. It's a great option for budget travelers, and getting to meet and befriend travelers from various countries was the best part! The dormitory room was exactly as pictured – clean and comfortable. Thanks to the minimal rules, there were no unpleasant experiences, I guess. Even as a first-timer in Ishigaki Island, I got lots of tips and was even taken to places. It made for wonderful memories. I'm glad I chose this place!"
