It was a pleasure to have been in Barcaldine castle with its 450 years of old age. Very recommended

Service: It is a homestay hotel, quite clean and fragrant, and the public areas are very historical and distinctive as shown in the picture. Environment: You need to walk or drive to climb the hill, the location is easier to find, and the public area has a good window view. Facilities: The room is very quiet and has configuration. Overall, it is quite good.

We booked 2 rooms 1 night last minute booking. I got Junior suite for me & my husband. Room is very spacious for UK standard, sea view is very beautiful Seaview. The hotel has lift thats very good for travelers with many luggages.The room is a little cold so we switched on spare small heater which is warm enough. Their specialist amenities are very good. Whisky Honey. Oh.our room door isn't working, that's pretty scary.

Location was convenient - a little off the busiest part of the town but still walkable especially to the pier and restaurants.

I didn’t go in when I booked the room, I didn’t pay attention, the hotel doesn’t seem to accept children under 11 years old.

It’s a very nice place, well maintained and beautiful sea views. All the amenities for grocery dine-in and out are available. The hotel itself has bar as well, so you can order food easily.

Very Disappointing Stay I booked this stay after seeing it recommended on TikTok, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype. It also wasn’t in the centre of town, which made getting around less convenient than expected. The mattress was so soft it felt like I was being swallowed by it, making it really uncomfortable to sleep. The room itself was extremely hot — even after turning off the radiator it was still warm, and the only way to cool it down was by opening the window. That would’ve been fine, except the noise from the spa pumps ran all night and made it difficult to rest. We must have been given an older room because it looked nothing like the pictures we saw on TikTok. Parking was valet-only and cost £25, which felt excessive. On a positive note, the room was clean, but it was also quite small and definitely in need of an update. Overall, not the relaxing experience I was hoping for.
