獨獨遊的小背囊This hotel offers an excellent overall experience. The hot spring facilities were a pleasant surprise; the water quality and environment were both comfortable and incredibly relaxing. The staff were friendly, courteous, and very responsive and attentive, making us feel well taken care of. It's definitely worth another visit.

1. The photo posted by this website was a lie - the room was very different to the reality. For a start there was no in room onsen and that had been a major factor in me making this booking. I was really disappointed on arrival.
2. However it has to be said the staff are fabulous, the food excellent and everything about the place shows a tremendous attention to detail. After a lovely long soak in the Onsen available to guests and a fabulous dinner my mood was quite recovered. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for someone looking for a luxurious retreat and plan to return myself.

KKennyMy stay at Shima Hantou in Shima City, Japan was a delightful experience. The location of the hotel is convenient, earning it a solid 4 out of 5 rating. Although it is a bit far from Ise City, it's easily accessible by car, with just a 1-hour journey.
The hotel's cleanliness also deserves a commendable 4 out of 5 rating. As a traditional Japanese hotel, the exterior has a charming appeal. While the interior design may not be the most modern, it is still well-maintained and clean.
One aspect that truly stood out during my stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist, earning a perfect 5 out of 5 rating for service.
In terms of facilities, the hotel offers a basic hot spring bath, which was a relaxing experience. However, it's worth noting that there is only one pool for bathing, and the absence of a cold water bath and sauna facilities somewhat limited the options. Therefore, I would rate the facilities as 4 out of 5.
Overall, I highly recommend Shima Hantou for a pleasant stay in Shima City. The location, cleanliness, and exceptional service make it a great choice for travelers seeking a traditional Japanese hotel experience.

AAnihaseyoTransportation: Take the Shimakaze train to Kashikojima, which takes about two and a half hours. Contact the hotel in advance for a pick-up from Kashikojima station.
The hotel does not provide airport pick-up, but can arrange car hire for guests.
Transportation is very inconvenient.
Facilities: The facilities are very good. The interior styles of the three Aman hotels in Japan are very similar, and the rooms and public areas are well-maintained.
Service: The service is very good.
Food: Due to the hotel's remote location, there are no restaurants nearby, so all meals were eaten at the hotel.
The food at the restaurant was surprisingly good (I thought it wouldn't be good).
Dinner reservations must be made in advance, as the hotel is fully booked on holidays, and the restaurant's dinner slots are also fully booked. You either have to wait until 8:30 pm or eat at the bar.
If you choose to eat dinner at the bar, you won't be able to get shabu-shabu.
The lunch menu is different; it's a simple meal, but acceptable.
The first set meal was a regular set meal, which included a beef dish with a green sauce that was super delicious; I used it to mix with rice.
The second set meal included shabu-shabu, with options for Ise lobster, Matsusaka beef, and local beef; I chose the local beef. The reddish-brown sauce in the shabu-shabu was absolutely delicious.
Activities: Chinese-speaking guides can be requested for tours of Ise.
The hotel didn't email us in advance to inform us about activities or inquire about arrangements. Many activities were unavailable upon check-in.
Summary: Aside from the inconvenient transportation and the lack of advance email communication about activities during my stay, everything was fine.

The food was delicious and there was a wide variety of options.
We were able to go fishing before dinner and breakfast, and my husband was very satisfied as he caught rockfish, pufferfish, and horse mackerel.
This is an inn we would definitely like to visit again.

The view of the room is very good and the hot spring view is not bad.
The disadvantage is: the room is really old and the lobby is not lined up, and the bathroom and bathroom of the room are not happy. It feels like a 90s decoration. Don't expect the room.
Health is general, there is a cup used by the last guest under the bed, breakfast and dinner are not excellent.
There is a lady at the front desk, the attitude is not good, but the attitude is not good sometimes counts as personal behavior, can not represent all the services of the hotel
Said that there is a family birthday, but no extra service is provided, and some are disappointed.
I booked two rooms, the other one is the room, and the room is also very old. The hotel has a relatively new room, but it is not booked for Trip.com . I don't know how to comment on this.

Overall, there are not many good hotels in Zhimo. This hotel is recommended for scenery, but don't expect too much, it is still good.

The facility itself is certainly old. However, since it is a hotel with sufficient ingenuity and service to spend the room comfortably, I think it is a comfortable accommodation. GGuest UserWe stayed with a total of 4 people with 3 adult friends and 1 4 year old child. The pool was available until 18:00 on the same day and 10:00 the next day 〜 14:00 at an additional fee, and there was a jet relaxing corner in the indoor heated pool and it was quite refreshing.
The hot springs after that were free and fun.
