I have two feelings about this stay. 1. The photo posted by this website was a lie - the room was very different to the reality. For a start there was no in room onsen and that had been a major factor in me making this booking. I was really disappointed on arrival. 2. However it has to be said the staff are fabulous, the food excellent and everything about the place shows a tremendous attention to detail. After a lovely long soak in the Onsen available to guests and a fabulous dinner my mood was quite recovered. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for someone looking for a luxurious retreat and plan to return myself.

Transportation: Take the Shimakaze train to Kashikojima, which takes about two and a half hours. Contact the hotel in advance for a pick-up from Kashikojima station. The first set meal was a regular set meal, which included a beef dish with a green sauce that was super delicious; I used it to mix with rice. The second set meal included shabu-shabu, with options for Ise lobster, Matsusaka beef, and local beef; I chose the local beef. The reddish-brown sauce in the shabu-shabu was absolutely delicious. Activities: Chinese-speaking guides can be requested for tours of Ise. The hotel didn't email us in advance to inform us about activities or inquire about arrangements. Many activities were unavailable upon check-in. Summary: Aside from the inconvenient transportation and the lack of advance email communication about activities during my stay, everything was fine.

Family run accommodation which doesn't feel like commercial hotels. It feels so homely with daily breakfast provided and served with their hearts. Right behind is a small floating platforms where you'll see baskets of scallops, oysters and also big fishes in nets. I chose this place because of this where I can just go to the back and start fishing with wonderful views all around. Parking lots are limited but was lucky to always come back with a lot available. Older gentleman was very kind to share how to fish even though there's a language barrier. Overall a very nice secluded area if you like peace and serenity. And fishing too of course.

Although it is very remote, the surrounding area is very comfortable. The hotel is in a small bay and the owner is very nice! There will be a map to recommend you delicious and fun places nearby! It is very suitable for swimming, playing in the water and eating seafood in summer. It is very cold due to the cold current, but it is still very comfortable!

The bath, where the scent of cypress filled the building, was amazing. The food was delicious and there was a wide variety of options. We were able to go fishing before dinner and breakfast, and my husband was very satisfied as he caught rockfish, pufferfish, and horse mackerel.
