O.K. MACIt was the first night of my entire trip—and also the most expensive one. But it was absolutely worth it!
Lake Suwa was right in front of the hotel. If you take the train, it might be a bit of a walk, but since I drove, the location was perfect.
The hotel was incredibly spacious, and the onsen was lovely.
Dinner (a full course meal) was exceptional, and breakfast was just as impressive—absolutely delicious!
One thing I still wonder about: what were those insects outside the window at night?
They clung to the glass, and I was afraid they might get inside. Thankfully, the window seals were excellent, so none of them made it indoors. Only the outdoor bath had a few, which was understandable.
I truly hope I can go back again—with my mom next time!

A very satisfying hotel.
In the Suwa area, this hot spring hotel is one of the most luxurious.
First of all, the environment of the independent courtyard is very elegant, and all 8 rooms face the beautiful view of Lake Suwa, especially the beautiful view of the sunset, which is really pleasing to the eye.
Secondly, the room is not only large, but also has an independent hot spring pool. The room has everything you need, so it is no problem to come here empty-handed. Toiletries, razors, various skin care and hair care products, all available. You can also go to the mixed bathing hot spring on the top floor of the 6th floor. The idea here is very unique. When entering the hot spring, both men and women have to wear special clothes, similar to swimsuits.
Thirdly, each room has a separate dining room, which only takes 3 seconds to walk there.
Then there is a local bar on the first floor downstairs, which provides locally produced sake.
Finally, across the small road is Lake Suwa, and it is only 8 minutes' walk to the station, which is really convenient. There are many restaurants around, so there is no need to worry.

ManuelMdTThe Lalba Suwako Hotel, barely a 20-minute walk from the train station, about ten minutes from the castle, and a stone's throw from the beautiful shores of Lake Suwa, enjoys a very good location and is easy to find.
Unpretentious and with a discreet entrance, especially compared to its imposing neighbors, the hotel doesn't make great pretensions but offers everything one would expect: a pleasant welcome, clean and comfortable rooms, access to well-maintained baths that can be privatized for 45 minutes per room per night, and an optional, delicious and comprehensive breakfast.
We very much appreciated this simple hotel, which represents excellent value for money.
Thank you very much for the welcome!
