GGuest UserWe stayed four nights at Casalay Boutique Villas and Dive and overall had a wonderful experience. The location is truly special – stunning views, beautifully designed villas, a very well-kept property, and breathtaking sunsets by the pool or from the terrace. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, perfect for a luxurious getaway. Be aware that getting there can be a bit tricky. Buses from Manila to Batangas City run regularly, but the last ferry departs at 4 PM. Make sure to plan your trip accordingly – we ran into some issues because of this. The food is more expensive than local options, but very clean and easily adaptable to vegetarian needs. While the vegetarian menu is limited, the manager was very accommodating and open to adjustments, which we truly appreciated. There are plenty of activities: a paid boat transfer to Secret Bay, trips to Sabang, diving, massages, and more. Just keep in mind to clarify whether you book activities through the hotel or third-party providers, as prices can vary and surcharges are common. Some small downsides: our room was only cleaned on two of the four days, which didn’t meet the highest hygiene standards, and the beach could be a little cleaner. Still, we had a very enjoyable stay. The combination of friendly staff, beautiful setting, and unique location makes this hotel highly recommendable.

GGuest UserThe most important thing to say is that this is not a 4* hotel. This is an average 3* hotel. In terms of level. Below is a description in order. Room. I had a room with a sea view on the 2nd floor. The sea view is one third. Since the trees are growing and blocking the view, you look at the trees. And there are many rooms like this. Maybe for some this is a plus. There is a small balcony to sit, breathe some air and smoke, if you need to. The room itself is simple, but clean. It is obvious that it is not new. I would not say that it is broken down, but parts of the walls were painted at different times, this is visible, there are smudges, there is little furniture. There is no usual air conditioner, there is a fan unit in the wall at knee level. You cannot set the temperature, there are only two knobs - air flow strength and cooling strength. Directly to cool - no, the air conditioner did not cool the air, it made it a little fresher. That is, it is more of a fan than an air conditioner. It was impossible to cool the air at night and then sleep comfortably, it quickly became hot, and leaving this fan overnight was inconvenient - it was very noisy and blew on the bed. I had to get up and turn it on and off a couple of times a night. Bathroom. For some reason, shelves for clothes and shoes and a safe were placed here. Inconvenient. The safe did not work at all, it was all rusty. Of the toiletries, the hotel only provides liquid soap and shampoo. Poor for a 4* hotel, which it calls itself. No shower cap, no cotton accessories, no body lotion, no slippers - nothing. The water pressure is quite weak, the hot water comes from the water heater, so it is sometimes warmer, sometimes colder. Towels were changed regularly, the bed linen was simply tucked in. The room itself was cleaned well. Only the sand was not always swept clean, I had to ask again. There is a small teapot, coffee and green tea, a small refrigerator. I did not find a hair dryer and iron. Breakfast is included in the price, but it is simple. 2 pieces of toast, butter, jam, scrambled eggs, some fruit, tea/coffee. You can order something more decent from the menu, but for an extra fee. You can order lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant. The prices are a little higher than in the restaurants on the beach, but the food is very good, the portions are large (unlike the beach restaurants, where it is problematic to find good food). The staff is very responsive, they will do everything you ask. The hotel territory is cleaned well. But there is little space in front of the hotel on the beach, so there are also few sun loungers. If the hotel is occupied, then there will definitely not be enough sun loungers for everyone. The entrance to the sea is pebbles with sand. In the morning, when the tide is in, it is comfortable to enter. But after lunch, when the water recedes, it is less comfortable, the pebbles on the bottom are exposed, it is painful to enter barefoot, it is better in aqua shoes. A separate thing that I did not like was the stray dogs. They wander everywhere, they are not chased away, they are not aggressive, but they still itch, reproduce, bite right there in front of your eyes. There are traders who walk around offering all sorts of crap, but they are not very intrusive, although they pester you consistently, even if they see you for the fifth time in a day. In general, it is worth saying that for the Philippines, the hotel is very good. The rest around are even worse)) But you need to understand that these are real 3* and do not expect 4* service.

EElenaE.We chose this place by reviews and for its location. When we arrived we had to sign an agreement with the property rules which are in abundance: from “no outside food or drinks at the property” to fines for stained towels and sheets. Though there are “shhh” signs everywhere I woke up both mornings of our stay because someone was walking and talking loudly right outside our door. The room is really small close to tiny, there’s no fridge (ok, that’s the type of room without one), the safe didn’t work but the friendly and helpful staff kindly stored our valuables in theirs. The place is beautifully located and the food is ok.

MMateja BokanThis is a very cute place to stay! The staff was very friendly, the room was comfortable, and the stay overall was enjoyable. The room was generally clean, with some details overlooked (like previous guest's receipt on the floor and a few other papers around the room, one of the towels was a bit dirty). The hotel only provides a toothbrush and a toothpaste (and shampoo and shower gel in the shower), but I found the lack of a bar of soap disappointing. The location is great, the hotel is right at the beach, and easily accessible. The hotel cafe is adorable, serves good food, and the staff is friendly and polite. As for the provided breakfast, I could choose from the breakfast menu at the cafe, and coffee was served directly. Overall, I would definitely recommend this adorable hotel to anyone visiting, it's charming and worth staying in!

GGuest UserAbsolutely cannot recommend this place highly enough. It's a litte further down the sea front but tucked away from the noise while still being right on the water. The room was immaculate and spacious, cleaned everyday and (surprisingly) mosquito-free. The resaurant offers fantastic food at a great price and the whole place has a family run vibe. And it's this that I rate so highly about the place. I was solo travelling over the Christmas holiday and the ladies that run the hotel were so so welcoming and friendly. They offered for me to join their Christmas dinner and kept breakfast open to me 15-20 minutes late so I could catch the 9am dive and still eat when I came back. They were all so lovely, it didn't feel like I was alone over the festive period. If I am ever to visit PG again, I'll 100% be staying at Out of the Blue. Thank you so much fo rhaving me and for all the laughs. Michael

GGuest UserThis hotel is very new and somewhat inconvenient. It is high on a hill which was not very accessible by walking as major roadworks complicated the route and also slowed traffic up and down. While only 10 minutes away from the main Sabang area (climbing down), the climb up made it unpleasant and inconvenient either on foot or in a vehicle. The room was simple with limited facilities (no fridge or TV) and not competitively priced compared to other hotels in the area. Breakfast was spam and rice. The pool area was unwelcoming (exposed and bare of furniture). Service and support is pleasant but minimal. The place was empty and a little sad when we stayed (even though the town was busy). We were quite glad to leave. I think the place needs development and is a work in progress and when ready, it might be nice, but not yet.

GGuest UserThis is by far the best beachfront hotel you could ever find in white sand puerto gallera. The rooms are clean and good smelling, the facilities are well maintained, the bed is awesome! Water supply and AC is excellent. And you get the most value of your hard earned money.

HHera SzExcellent facilities if you book à ocean view room. Room is spacious and comfortable and the view is stunning . Negative point is the other customers arriving drunk at midnight with their “comforts” screaming and making lots of noise in the balcony and corridor . During Check-in the staff had a bit of trouble as we canceled the previous reservation of standard room and upgraded to Ocean View and we had to insist and show the voucher that we had an Ocean View . Shower box was missing a door and because of that the Water would go all over the toilet . ***** Bring your own toiletries . Staff was kind and friendly and the swimming pool is very nice . I didn’t try breakfast but lunch was good at the restaurant attached to the hotel.
