We found this lakeside hotel nearby because of a terrible experience at the neighboring Edgewood. The hotel was a bit dated, but overall the experience was quite good, especially considering the value for money. The hotel's Italian restaurant was also delicious. We had a wonderful lakeside holiday. Compared to the incredibly overpriced and poorly serviced Edgewood, this hotel was excellent value! Highly recommended!

The hotel is centrally located, with restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance, and very close to the Gondola. However, during my trip to Tahoe, the weather was bad—first rain, then a blizzard—so the Gondola was closed for the last few days. The lift to Heavenly Ski Resort is at California Lodge, about a 10-minute drive from the hotel. The hotel's location is simply fantastic. There's a shuttle bus to the ski resort lift across the street, but apparently, reservations are required. If you're going skiing without a car, you can take this shuttle. There's a ski equipment rental shop right next to the hotel, and hotel guests get a 10% discount. The hotel rooms have kitchenware for preparing simple, hot meals, which was very convenient. The hotel provides a simple breakfast, mainly coffee, tea, doughnuts, eggs, and bananas. I was in a rush when I left and forgot to leave a tip in the room, which I felt bad about. I must commend Ctrip's service this time, because two days before check-in, I discovered a significant difference between the original price and the booked price. After contacting Ctrip customer service, I was able to rebook. Many thanks to Ctrip's customer service. I also suggest that everyone double-check the hotel price before using the platform's free cancellation policy to avoid unnecessary trouble and losses.
