Acorns Old Farm

We booked two rooms (rooms 4 and 5) which are on the top floor. Both had very comfortable beds. We were up early at 4.30am to fly, and managed to get a few hours of sleep. There was a kettle with tea and coffee in the room. My dad likes a hot room and he was able to turn his radiator right up. I like a cold room and the window let in a perfect breeze. I prefer it when you can control the temperature of your room, not like centrally controlled hotels where it can be hard to sleep. Parking is easy and the sat nav link sent by the owner the day before took us straight there. There is a Tesco Extra about 5 minutes drive away, which we used to buy some snacks. In the morning, we drove to Silverzone airport parking in 5 minutes, so it is a perfect location.

Great value for money. Can't fault this accommodation. Clean, comprehensive & no nonsense. I recommend you book direct, rather than through booking dot com! Beds are comfortable, rooms large. Parking close by. Smith check-in procedure.

This was my third stay at Acorns Guest House, and I’ve already decided I’ll be booking again. It's the perfect place if you're flying from Bristol Airport—convenient, comfortable, and incredibly easy. The walk to the terminal is short and straightforward. This time, it was slightly busier due to the new airport exit road, and a staff member at the airport tried to tell us we shouldn’t be walking, but I just carried on without any issues. It’s definitely still a manageable walk. I like to use Acorns' on-site parking while I'm away, and the key safe system they have in place works perfectly—simple, secure, and hassle-free. The rooms are spotless and well-maintained. I’ve had Room 6 for my last two visits—it’s quiet (other than the sound of aircraft, which is to be expected) and very comfortable. The beds are great, and the room includes tea and coffee facilities, a TV, and heating controls—although we didn’t need to adjust the heating this time as it was just right. While shower facilities are available, we usually shower before arriving, so I haven’t used them personally. But everything else has been spot on. I really appreciate being able to book accommodation and parking together, which makes the whole process smooth and stress-free. Plus, being able to leave our overnight bag in the car after using the airport's twilight luggage drop-off is a real bonus. I didn't think to take any photos, so I only have this photo of my daughter sitting on the floor doing her homework. Highly recommended if you’re flying early or late from Bristol Airport—it’s a great way to start or end a trip with minimal hassle.

Although the check in and check out facilities were really efficient and the room was ok in terms of size and facilities, we had an issue with the radiator in the bathroom being stuck on very hot. Despite having the bathroom door shut and the window open it was still like being in a sauna so we had about an hours uncomfortable sleep which defeated the purpose of staying there in the first place. Really disappointing

We booked a night here as we had an early morning flight and even though we lived only an hour away, we thought that it would be easier and with parking included We knew which room we had as we had an email message to say, then on arrival we picked the key up from the locker. The room itself was really big and very clean, with plenty of tea and coffee, we also found it very quiet . We decided to do the twilight bag drop of at the airport, walking down in the dark, I noticed at the end of the drive a lead sticking up, that could cause an accident if someone was to trip over it . The walk to the airport was a short one along a unlit road with cars passing . Once in the airport grounds it got a bit confusing on what route to take to the terminal with all the building work going on but we managed to work things out going back to the farm. In the morning we had to leave the car keys in the locker and tackle the dark road again but we did have high viz that we brought with us . On our return we had a message with a code to say how to get our car keys back, this was easily done and our car was already waiting for us . We did like our stay at Acorns guest house but even though we knew we would be walking in the dark on unlit road, It wasn't as easy as we thought .

What a find, this place is fantastic. Instructions on key collection worked perfectly. The room was spotless, bed and pillows extremely comfortable. Towels and toiletries provided and tea/coffee much appreciated. Staff very friendly. Thank you, we will return
