The hotel owners and management in addition to TripAdvisor should be investigated for corruption! This hotel can not be classified as 4 stars hotel! Literally, it is not a hotel by any means! I do not recommend it for any traveler! ZERO score in everything! Moreover, despite the "place" has a capacity of around 10 rooms in total, they keep their room charge so high to show high traffic! I request immediately TripAdvisor to be investigated for misleading customers with sponsored adv from such supplier! This a true criminal!

The location of Signal Hill Lodge only one kilometre from center of Cape Town is very nice!! If you want to climb up to the lodge from the center - it is not easiest job but luckily you can use also taxi. People in hotel are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel has a beautiful location at the base of Signal Hill with lovely views across the city. It is still quite accessible and walkable to downtown attractions (I was working at the International Convention Centre and could make the walk in 30-40 minutes). The surrounding area is quiet and I felt quite safe walking during the day. The staff are all lovely and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. I have no complaints about the room (not honeymoon standard perhaps but perfectly adequate for business or vacation travel). My only issue was that they must get the lower gate buzzer fixed so guests are not stranded outside!

Basic room, basic bathroom, if it’s not sea view there is not so much daylight. Overpriced tiny sandwiches can be ordered. They give very good advice about Cape Town and sights.

Signal hill lodge was great. The only downside is that it is not practical to walk to any place with food or shops from this location. I did not have a car so I ended up using Uber everyday.

Very nice day time manager. So kind. Taxi will 50% chance get lost each time. Night time manager was harder to work with, more rude.

The views of the city are great but the area around it is run down and feels unsafe. The bathroom is very small with an amazing combination of pipes and levers.

We had the most incredible 30-day stay at this accommodation! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who made us feel right at home. The room was spacious and clean.
Throughout my stay, the housekeeping team ensured everything was kept spotless, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. The location was perfect, providing easy access to local attractions.
What truly stood out was the exceptional service and attention to detail. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. From organizing day trips to recommending local restaurants, they were always there to assist with a smile.
