Beautiful location. With a magical touch. Very well maintained, but still felt authentic. We stayed 2 nights and it was our base to go to the different wineries. Centric to all of the ones we wanted to see. Staff was very friendly. The parking was complicated to understand in the beginning, but afterwards a brease. Theres a small olive orchard which was for us amazing.

Fabulous location near Pienza and St Quirico. Absolute tranquility. Beautiful outdoor spaces in a typical Tuscan landscape. Fabulous sunsets. Reasonable room, without great luxuries, but nice. Good bathroom. Poor breakfast, served at the table. No great variety and in small portions. No fresh bread. Just toasted bread in a Bimbo type. Egg paid separately and costing 3 euros On the day of arrival, since we were tired, we had dinner at Locanda. Service was friendly but very slow. .We had a starter tartar to share and a risotto al funghi and a banal Pecorino ravioli. We had a red Rosso di Montalcino and 2 coffees.80 euros seemed a little expensive Friendly and attentive host. Just one thing to say: he was not very helpful when booking a restaurant for dinner. In summary: Fabulous location, good rooms, spectacular atmosphere. To improve the meals, especially the breakfast, which is very weak. Many more positives than negatives. I strongly recomend

Un albergo molto semplice e senza pretese. Abbiamo soggiornato per una notte. L’accoglienza è stata molto semplice e per questo spontanea e gentile. Il ristorante è meravigliosamente genuino (i prodotti sono coltivati nelle campagne circostanti ) e cucinati come in casa. La fiorentina è qualcosa di incredibile. Finalmente una boccata di sincerità!

Short stay, 2 nights, per year with the family, that is, it was a wonderful surprise, we enjoyed it very much and the only defect we find is the stairway to get to the floor that with the luggage is a little tired, However, the reward is paid once the entry threshold is exceeded. The room is well-reconstructed and well furnished, the room which has been assigned to us is very spacious, clean and equipped with everything necessary, and given the relatively low temperatures well heated, Thanks to the bed we found very comfortable, the quality of sleep was also excellent. Excellent breakfast, the choice is not very wide but it is very good and the quality of the products is high, as well as the staff present prepares hot drinks at the moment, we have also found a wide satisfaction here. The same staff, besides being gentle, available and careful is very empathical with the client, this has made us the stay even more pleasant, also are very well organized to give instructions on how to get to the structure, it is located in a little hidden but very characteristic angle . It is also excellent for communication before arrival, we have all the information of the case and they have advised us, of course, more places, where to go to dinner and also here they have given us excellent straights. Compliments and we'll see you again in spring early summer, we'll be back for the term!!

We stayed for 5 wonderful nights. We absolutely loved it. The highlights are: - a really lovely large modern bedroom with all the comforts and amenities needed. We had lots of space for clothes, a kettle, tea, a little fridge. The bed / pillows were super comfy and the shower / bath very good too and some toiletries provided. - we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious. I especially loved the choice of eggs and the coffee. We stayed for dinner twice- again a delicious and filling affair! -it’s a convenient base to explore the area- and we visited Pienza and the other surrounding towns. We also did several hikes not too far away. You will need a car. - we have to mention our host Ana who is lovely, friendly and welcoming and made our stay extra special. - finally it was nice to have the cats around- they were very cute !

We rented Il Macchione out for our wedding guests and we are so happy we did so. They put up with so many emails from me before we arrived and were still very kind and welcoming when we got there! The property itself has the most stunning views and all the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Everyone had their own flats and space but we had a communal feeling. If we hadn't rented the whole place out, there was still lots of room so that you wouldn't feel like you were holidaying with a lot of strangers. They arranged a yoga class for us and could arrange for a private chef. The family owns some restaurants in Pienza too which were very tasty! They also provide a parking spot in Pienza so you can find parking much easier than you can otherwise. I cannot recommend this place enough. We are already planning on returning for our anniversary and CANNOT wait! Thank you Francesco and everyone at Il Macchione!
