Located at just a block away from the Copenhagen Central train station (& on the corner of 2 streets), this is like an ideal place to stay for those arriving by train although not quite so for those arriving by FlixBus like me (about a half-hour walk from the outdoor Bus Station located in the south and by coming a little roundabout-way from it including having to go over the overpass of the Copenhagen Central). But yes, except for that small inconvenience of location was a "pretty nice" stay in a 6-bed dorm room (with also an en-suite bathroom) although worth mentioning in my opinion is this one part "like a ramp" along the corridor outside the rooms (so having to "go up" a bit when going to the room). And as for the convenience of location (while staying here despite a long walk from the Bus Station), to be found right around the big-building block with this place & also in the immediate vicinity are a number of restaurants (including those shops in "small basements" with reasonable-priced food-in-box items & a McDonald's inside the Central Station) and a "corner 7-Eleven" and actually also a small currency-exchange shop. And yes, as for the "sightseeing convenience", it's just about a 15-minute walk to the National Museum of Denmark (with really "quite a magnitude" of historical items to see) followed by about another 10-minute walk to the Christiansborg Palace (with a "quite splendid" interior, underground "castle ruins" and seen while there in the early morning a horse-carriage going in like a circular motion in front of the royal stable) then about another 10-minute walk to the beautiful Nyhavn Canal (with "bright-colored" buildings along both sides of the stretch also "quite lively" both on the promenades beside the canal & also in it).

I would stay here again, but the place has a lot of unwritten rules, and you will be fined if you do not follow them - even if you do not know what they are. We were fined about $25 even before we checked in. When I inquired about it, the front desk was very unprofessional, rude, and unhelpful. We were not trying to cause issues, but considering the number of international travelers with different customs who stay there, it would behoove Meininger to be clear on expectations and to display a more courteous attitude towards its guests.

Bare necessities at this hotel. beds weren’t awful but were not great either. Floors were dirty. No A/C so you’ll want the windows open. In summer that means no darkness and noise all night. You won’t want to spend time in your room as the quarters are tight.

We stayed overnight having arrived at the airport. It was comfortable with a bar, laundry, kitchen and quiet space. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We are both retired but it wasn't too "young". It was just nice and easy and comfortable. We would definitely come again.

Booked a twin room for 2 people, expecting a standard setup, but got a room with a double bed and two bunk beds – more like a family hostel room than a proper hotel setup. The bathroom had a broken lock, so the door couldn’t be closed properly. The shower holder was also broken and couldn’t be adjusted, which made showering awkward. There were no basic amenities in the room – no minibar, no kettle, not even a complimentary bottle of water. For a rate of €370 for 2 nights without breakfast, this felt really underwhelming. I pre-booked early check-in through the app (which stated 11:00), but when I arrived at 09:45, the very “friendly” front desk staff told me early check-in only starts at 11:30 ... Even lockers for luggage storage came with an extra charge, just to leave your bags for a few hours 😂 To be fair, the location is good, the bed was comfortable, and hot water worked fine – but that’s where the positives end. Overall, this place has the feel of a budget hostel, not a €185-per-night hotel. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re desperate for a central location and don’t care about comfort or service.

As a low cost place to stay in Copenhagen, I was impressed with Urban House. The hostel is ideally located a 5 minute walk from Copenhagen Central station. Check in was smooth and staff were very quick to assist when we asked for extras such as towels and pillows. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We didn’t use the bar / social area but it definitely looked like somewhere where you could meet people if you were travelling solo. Also we found the lockers to be very handy for storing our bags. All in all, a great base to explore Copenhagen!

Amazing experience, situated bang in the city centre, is a family hostel with good amenities, decent comfortable rooms. Good value for money. No complaints. Strict policy for sharing rooms in terms of checkin. There is a metro station on a 2 min walk, 7-11 downstairs which is open 24/7.

We stayed here on a recent visit to Copenhagen and it worked well for our family of 4- good value, convenient location, friendly staff, nice breakfast and bar. Although we only used the kitchen to store items in the fridge it was nice to have the option. The room was small but sufficient- my only criticism would be that the design of the (tiny) shower means it doesn’t drain properly and there was evident mold/mildew around the bottom. Also, we had a room that faced the street and the noise at night was pretty loud- we would stay here again but ask for an interior room next time.
