Not bad, the price is a bit too expensive, 18, it doesn't feel worth it.
But it seems that this is already the best hotel in Dashi. The experience of staying is OK. The breakfast is not bad. The service attitude is OK. The sanitary environment is relatively good. The location is OK. Close to the port.

Due to the flight delay, it was already night when we arrived in Dar. We arrived at the hotel in a daze. It was not as luxurious as we imagined, but it was still elegant. The double bed we booked on the platform was probably full, so we arranged a double bed + a small bed room lol. Although the brothers were not unfamiliar with it, haha~
It took a little time to check in. The room was clean, and there was everything you could need for water and self-service coffee. Since the meeting lasted until the early morning, I got up after less than 3 hours of sleep. After all, the breakfast was good, which comforted my tired stomach and was also a kind of compensation.
The overall feeling was good. The price was a little high, but the accommodation experience was OK. It was very close to the port. In the morning, we caught the boat to Sang Island. The hotel was only 5 minutes away from the pier, which was quite convenient!

I'm going to give my honest review about Gold Tulip Resort in Dar es Salaam. This should not be a 4 Star Hotel it should be a 2.5 - 3 Star. My husband and I stayed at this location from 02/02/23 - 02/10/23. The driver for the hotel picked my husband and I up from the airport very nice man. I would like to talk about the Pro's and Con's of this place. Con's Finally arriving at our destination I was so confused and disturbed by how unpleasant it looked in the back of the building. The inside of the receptionist lobby was very clean and it smelled amazing. It was nice and cool. Taking the elevator to the 16th floor was extremely hot. They should install an air conditioning system or a fan inside of the elevator because it's very hot an muggy. My husband and I stayed in room 1606. The room was nice and spacious. Several things I did not like about the room. 1. TV was really small and it wasn't directly in the middle where it should've been. 2. No sports station only in the restaurant on the 20th and 21st floor which was super annoying. You're not able to enjoy your stay and watch sports in your room. 3. On February 9th it stormed and my husband and I were asleep. The sound of the thunder and lightening woke me up. I tried going back to sleep but I kept hearing rain drops which sounded as if it the rain was dropping onto the floor. I get up at 3am and check and low and behold the window seal was completely drenched and water was also on the floor. How is this possible??? They need to do some immediate work on their windows because this is extremely dangerous. 4. Bathroom was very unpleasant looking. The toilet was absolutely disgusting. No matter how many times the housekeeper came to clean the inside of the toilet where the water refills was so corded with rust. Everytime we flushed the water was brown. That was disgusting. It really bothers me when I needed to shower water would get all over the floor because there was no door to keep the water inside the shower. The existing glass door that's there water gets underneath it and gets all over the floor. Water temperature takes time to get hot. 5. Air conditioner unit is horrible and they need to replace all of them in each room. For this place to charge so much money they can afford to upgrade the air conditioning unit, TV, TV Stations, Glass door for shower, toilets, etc... 6. My husband and I ate at their restaurant almost everyday. The prices of their breakfast is ridiculous because the food they have for all you can eat wasn't pleasant. To charge what they charge is a bit outrageous. The drinks they have out are NEVER and I mean NEVER iced cold. When you ask them for ice it's always a hassle to get because their machine doesn't always work. It's really hot in the morning and not having an iced cold beverage is annoying. Dinner Menu I got really bored with. First thing I ordered on their menu was Chicken Tom Yom Soup. When I tell you this soup was no where near Tom Yom.soup. It tasted not

The Best Western CBD Hotel in Dar es Salaam is highly recommended. The staff welcomed us kindly upon check-in and were very helpful in resolving any issues that followed. Facilities: relatively old
Hygiene: It is more like an ordinary old-fashioned hotel in China, but overall it is clean and the balcony is convenient.
Environment: Quiet, Muslim owner, no alcohol in the hotel
As long as the room looks at the sea, everything is fine! The swimming pool is open to the public and there are many people! There is not much to eat for breakfast, but you can enjoy the view. You can go drink coffee and enjoy the view!
Service: Slow, but it can be solved!

I booked this hotel due to two reasons - its a Marriot property now and the beach pier which I saw in the pics. Unfortunately the pier is closed now and there is no direct access to any beach. That was a big disappointment. The other issue was that there is no calling bell outside the room. So the staff has to knock!! If you are asleep or TV is ON, you will mostly not hear it. Bit strange despite being a marriot property.
The pros: The check in and checkout was seamless. The reception is very well managed and the people are very nice and hospitable. The breakfast buffet was good with nice vegetarian options (which I had requested and the hotel was kind enough to oblige). The deluxe room with ocean view was quite large and had a nice balcony. though not directly on the watefront, could view the ocean...it should be renamed as partial view of ocean though. The in room dining food was quite good. Also the location is in a nice part of the town.
Balance is the key to living a heathly life. Our natural inspired spaces, in room kitchens, and programs to stay active during your stay. In harmony with nature our spacious studios and apartments with neutral colours and spa like bathooms create a peaceful place with plenty of room to do everything or nothing at all. If you prefer to stay in than dine out, you can turn your studio or apartment into your very own dining experience and enjoy some of your favorite home comfort food. Staying also has its benefits, from our complimentary 'Rise Breakfast' every morning and our evening 'Relax' program in the hotel lounge Monday to Thursday from 17:30hrs to 19:00hrs. Visit Olive & Thyme Restaurant for some delightful 'meze' and BBQ items to tempt your taste buds. and at the start or end of your day continue your excersise program in the Fitness centre, or maybe take a swim and relax by the pool.

It‘s a fairly new hotel and part of Marriott Bonvoy. I enjoyed to stay there a lot, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is nice and with various options. The pool has a nice size, however lacking a view. Talking about view, some rooms have nice sea view. Others have pool view but you also see the green landscape which is nice too. The rooms are pretty big, kind of small TV though, but they feel very comfortable and the bed is great too. Also USB and an international power plug at the night stand, which still a lot of other hotels don‘t have. Rooms are cleaned very well. The gym is very basic, only machines for cardio and a few weights. Ate dinner at the restaurant several times and always got good food. There is an area called Slipway just 5 walking minutes away, that also provides great food options and a bit of nightlife.

The interior room is damp, clothes can't be dried even after three days of washing, there is no sun, and you can't see the so-called interior, the room is ok, the room is clean. The room size is OK. The seafood in Karambezi restaurant is good, the desserts are good, the environment is good, and you can see the sea for breakfast! The swimming pool is also clean, the gym equipment is OK, the waiter service is good, and there is a restaurant next to it. If you bring your family here, you must see the sea, it's amazing, you can listen to the sea at night, see the sea during the day, and see the sea for breakfast and dinner

SSurasak HompimolpornThe hotel is in the city but not very busy. Breakfast has a lot to choose from, clean rooms, rooftop restaurant tastes good. Overall, the price is reasonable.
GGuest UserArrived and told the room does not have inside toilet. That cost $10 usd extra. So I got the better room, which is a great room. Has 2 tv but none work and haven’t work in a while. There are no facilities. You are in the middle of a urban jungle.
Noise from outside water pump keeps you up all night.
Wont stay there again.
GGuest UserI just stayed at Q Bar & Guesthouse and been amazed by the loveliness of the staff. The guesthouse is comfortable, AC, spacious and lit rooms, safe, little desk area, sofa, TV. I very much appreciated the whole stay. From start they were super responsive on the booking engine. At check in Ibra showed me few rooms before choosing what i wanted, made sure i was comfy, cooked breakfast by Grace was perfect, she's lovely and so is whole staff, and Joel the manager is very nice and welcoming. The Bar is popular in the area and the location is perfect! No noise, the rooms are quiet. Definitely recommend.
GGuest UserRelatively middle-priced hotel in dar, room is large with large bed and separate toilet and shower. Staff are nice. First day of arrival the air conditioner was not working and they immediately asked someone to fix. And the restaurant was good in my expectation, it closes at 11pm and I can still order food at 1030pm. The only improvement is that the WiFi is poor, almost no connection in my room.
BBrandi from TexasThis location is for the view, location and the service, as all were great. The hotel is dated and needs maintenance, but for the price and location- it’s a deal. Nearby hotels are $100-300/night. Breakfast was just okay. The chicken burger and beef samosas were tasty from the restaurant.
AAmidhu StambuliThere should improve on their breakfast . I like tea or coffee but on the morning of 1 January the tea i was given if i am not mistaken with measurements it was 150mls in a very tiny cup.
I think there should be an upgrade on quality of breakfast which i think was down graded compared to the previous breakfast i had in August 2022.
At that time and day in August it was a buffet
NNASSER-EDDINE BEN DAOUDThe hotel's room is comfortable : there is an air conditioner that works very well. Every thing is clean especially the toilets. The bed is smooth and the T.V is interesting to watch. What I liked mostly about the hotel is their hospitality and service. A good place to stay in Dar Es Salaam. ❤❤❤
GGuest UserWith a ”nice space” to move around in the room where there was also ”a good selection” of news & movie channels on the TV, it was a pretty comfortable stay at this place and where added to the comfort was the convenience of the ”rooftop restaurant” where apart from the breakfast (which was a ”nice omelette” one) was where I also ate most of my lunches & dinners during my stay (some varieties of biryani available). And yes, also of convenience ”around this hotel” are a number of mini-groceries, a big wet-market-like place kind of semi-outdoor with open sides, a small streetside ”fully indoor” restaurant (not directly around here but just at like one block away and yes which likely is not the only one in the vicinity of this place), the bus office for the Kilimanjaro Express bus (about a block away where I got on my bus to Arusha pretty early in the morning), and a hospital for the PCR test (about a 5-minute walk after first registering on the website of the Tanzania Ministry of Health and paying at the bank which is also nicely located at like across the street from this hotel).
