The hotel is located at the north part of the "old" city. It's new and very nicely decorated. Our room, was unexpectedly beautiful and luxurious, with all kind of amenities we didn't expect. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and although there was a bit of a communication barrier (our Chinese is extremely basic), they managed to help us in many ways and walked the extra mile to make our stay better (including arranging transfer to the station for free). Breakfast is good, abundant, varied and beautifullly served.

Amazing little homestay style hotel near the northern part of the ancient city wall. You can enter the wall from the West side (大同古城(清远门)) and descend from north (大同古城(武定门)) or vice versa. Takes approx 10-15min walk to Huayan Temple, or you can easily didi. The place was a little hard to find at first, it is slightly hidden behind the first row of the shoplots facing the road near the roundabout. The cozy little place was serene and breakfast was simple but nice. Beds were comfy. Recommended

Amazing! Beautiful little boutique hotel, great breakfast, and lovely service. One of the most beautiful places I ever stayed in. Will definitely come back!

Very enjoyable stay at this little hotel. The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond, arranging travel, suggesting outings, even sometimes playing with the kids. New fresh fruit in the room every day. All the amenities are quite new and modern. Suggestion: the elevator goes straight into the kitchen. Staff should come in through the stairs and door so they can knock and wait before entering.
