Changliu Mountain Resort Hotel

Traveling with three adults and a five-year-old, we booked a family room which was spacious and clean. Upon entering the lobby, a gentle and pleasant aroma greeted us. The hotel staff were incredibly warm, courteous, and polite. There was also a shop selling unique Zhuang ethnic souvenirs, perfect for a shopper like me. Both the hotel's ambiance and dining options were exceptional. We dined at the hotel restaurant right after check-in, and every single dish was delicious – absolutely no misses! The afternoon tea selection was also very comprehensive. Overall, if we ever return to Guangxi Mingshi Pastoral, we would definitely choose to stay here again.

We were extremely satisfied with this hotel. The staff provided excellent service, and the rooms were spotless. Upon check-in, the front desk staff proactively upgraded us to a higher-floor room with a mountain view at the back. What truly stood out was the seamless integration of its interior design and overall aesthetics with the natural environment. The designers' meticulous attention to detail was evident, making it a place one wouldn't want to leave. We had hoped to stay an extra night, but sadly, the hotel was fully booked for the following day!

This was the most satisfying family room experience we've ever had. It was perfect for our family of five with three kids. The hotel service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly courteous. The hotel's dining options were delicious, and the afternoon tea was particularly generous. The highlight for us was definitely the small garden. They even offer in-room BBQ delivery in the evenings, and it tasted absolutely fantastic. This will definitely be our top choice for our next family trip with the kids!

Catching the tail end of the summer holidays, I compared a few guesthouses and finally opted for Changliushanju. While the 1700 price point felt a bit steep, its natural setting by the mountains and water was undoubtedly stunning, and the air even carried the scent of the fields. As for the environment, it's quite good for a guesthouse. With over 100 rooms, it’s not a chain, yet many of its facilities are designed to chain standards. Unfortunately, the staffing seemed inadequate; cleaning was very slow. There's also a gym, but it has limited equipment and confusing signage, so I had to wander around just to figure things out. On the bright side, the front desk service was excellent. The young gentleman in the lobby was particularly enthusiastic. My car tire went flat right as I entered the property, and he helpfully provided a contact number and carried my bags to the room. However, the room still had a faint, rather overwhelming musty smell, clearly indicating dampness. The restaurant's food was decent overall. The passion fruit ribs, however, were served cold, and after being fried, the ribs themselves were particularly tough. The sweet and sour flavor was acceptable. The roast chicken and stir-fried beef were quite good and paired well with rice. I also noticed that the complimentary bedtime sweet soup mentioned on Xiaohongshu was nowhere to be found. And the farewell gift after check-out had apparently been downgraded to just small cookies? Given the inflated price, I doubt I'll be staying here again.

The rooms were very clean and not damp. Each floor features laundry facilities, a recreation room, a gym, and a designated smoking area. The hotel offers a good array of complimentary activities, many of which are kid-friendly. The Western pastries at the restaurant's afternoon tea were delicious and not overly sweet. Naturally, the kids' absolute favorites were the infinity pool and the countryside cycling. This place is truly ideal for a family vacation. As a parent, I particularly loved the practical take-home gifts.

The hotel offers stunning views, and the outdoor pool was a definite highlight. We swam on both our first afternoon and second morning, and the kids absolutely loved it. We also had the unique experience of making Zhuang brocade sachets. Lunch at the hotel was surprisingly affordable, with our group of 10 paying around 100 RMB per person. Upon check-out, we even received thoughtful farewell gifts. Highly recommended!
