Our first stay in Dubai. We preferred this hotel because of its location and reasonable price option. Hotel staff are friendly and do their job well. We have all kinds of support when we need help. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast and other meal options suited every taste. You can find everything you are looking for in the market. Bus support to major locations .At the end of the planned time, we stayed an extra 2 days and were very pleased. Thank you to all the working staff.
A very good hotel in a quite area, with good value for money. Staff are very nice, amenities are good (internet might need some improvements in some areas).
Overall , the rooms were pretty clean , and spacious but the breakfast wasn’t up to date , just like we had in Ibis near World Trade Center dubai. Rooms offer comfy bedding and two relaxing chair as well . My main feedback is that they need to improve their breakfast , like they should offer wide options just like ibis World Trade Center .

The first stop of the trip to Dubai, I stayed at this hotel when I arrived by plane! There are two Jinmao on Ctrip. In fact, this one is in the podium of Jinmao, which should be considered older. The hotel room is very large. We booked a double bedroom room, and there is also a large living room and kitchen, but the facilities are a bit old. Fortunately, we can go to the Jinmao next door for breakfast. The breakfast is very rich, but it is not for the Chinese taste. The coffee is worthy of praise. The latte art is very good. The other facilities of the hotel are also great. Unfortunately, we left early and returned late and did not enjoy them. After all, it was still a bit cold in early February and not suitable for swimming. The overall evaluation is not bad.
As a 5 Star Hotel, The Canvas is a decent one for its price. It's also a part of Accor Hotels, which I really liked, as Accor hasn't disappointed me in all my stays across most of its facilities.
I booked an Executive King Room with Breakfast. I liked the interior around the hotel and inside the room. The room features an open-air bathtub which is really relaxing and it's also worth noting that they are generous with the complimentary goodies as well. 😉 I liked that I didn't have to request for anything upon arrival as the room is fully equipped, clean, and restocked properly. One thing I noticed though is that the air conditioning is not the best, I found myself sweating so bad during my sleep though I could've easily called for assistance but I'm still half asleep so I let it go.
Pool is one of the main things for me whenever I check in. I visited the pool at 8AM (they mentioned upon checking in that it's from 8AM to 7PM and I planned to eat breakfast after a dip in the pool) but I felt dismayed about three main things:
1. It's not open, not even a single soul in the rooftop cleaning the area or preparing the pool. It is blocked with potted plants, barrier posts, tables and (ironically) a sign that says it opens at 8AM. If guests have been informed that it opens at 8AM then it should be open and functional by 8AM. I waited for a good 10 minutes but no one came to open it so I left.
2. The rooftop also converts to a bar at night so you can just imagine that the place is a mess in the morning, they should have someone clean it early in the morning or at least before the pool opens but again no one was there.
3. It didn't look like in the photos. There were a lot of things around that didn't looked like it belonged to a ”rooftop pool/lounge” for me. It's (literally) A bar and A pool cramped altogether in such a small space where it doesn't even feel like it complements each other or even look relaxing in a way. There were 4-5 plastic reclining beds without a ”bed”/foam padding and it's all dusty which could have been actually enough for me to just lay down and stay for awhile to wait until it opens but since it's dusty, I didn't even bother. The rest seems to me like trash from last night's party.
Just for reference, Adagio Hotel (an Accor 4-star hotel) has Crate & Barrel for their sunbeds and towels. 🙈 Novotel (4-star hotel) and is also a part of Accor, also have a really nice rooftop pool/bar where you can relax without even the need of using the pool. It's nothing grand in there but it's already nice for me so I really do feel like this is a huge letdown for The Canvas which has a 5-star hotel rating.
As for the continental breakfast, it's great as all the staff there were really attentive and hands on deck to assist everyone. They even offered a cake and party sparklers to one of the guest which is commendable as it shows that they care about their guests. They have a live egg station, salad bar, juice corner, meats, pastry, cold cuts, and fruits which is a standard but also complete and satisfactory.
Overall, I'd still say that I've enjoyed my stay that I extended for another night. The hotel is decent and their rooms are nice. I'd come back or recommend this to my friends but personally, I would've liked it more if the rooftop pool is maintained properly. Thank you team and all the best for next time ☀️
”I had a great stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious, well-maintained, and comfortable, contributing to an overall pleasant experience. Cleanliness was excellent, with the rooms and common areas kept in pristine condition. The attention to detail and the care taken in maintaining the space really stood out.
To be honest pleasantly surprised with this stay and would book again - was very comfortable and very relaxing - I had a good nights sleep.
Only thing I didn’t like was receptionist said they were fully booked when room where available to buy online. Rather they didn’t lie. Other than that, interesting history behind the boat and felt like a small experience on a cruise. Recommended

Very Good
GGuest UserIt was a surprise actually as I did not look at the hotel carefully as I was in hurry to book any hotel.
What a surprise!
Clean, looks very nice and exotic, the food was great, the people were so nice.
I love it!
Will be back again for sure!
LLorraine LimI enjoyed the Movenpick hotel , the buffet breakfast is good (but the egg omelette station gets busy and you'll need to queue during peak hours) . They have great salads and cereals choices and fruits and breads. They have regular shuttle bus to Kite beach and Dubai Mall.
GGuest UserYes, it is small expensive, the service is in place. HHusamIt's a mixed bag, rooms are clean and tidy but furniture is old, some furniture is very old, for example the tv is from ps2 Era, no hdmi port, tv channels are analog and look like tvs from the 90s, the sofa was broken, they refused to repair it or replace it with another one, they offered a free extra bed for the baby as a compensation, which ruined the room and we had to ask them to remove it and preferred to use the broken sofa; it's not a good sign when your guest thinks sleeping on a broken sofa is the best option you have given them.
Staff is friendly but not all of them are experienced, for example, when I checked in I didn't have cash for the 300 dhz security deposit, so I used my debit card... it turned out that they hold the deposit with actually debitting, which works for credit cards but for doesn't for debit cards I still haven't been refunded the 300 and they didn't take responsibility for it even though the staff manager was involved... they said I should contact the bank, but it's their fault they should have asked if it was a debit or credit card. They even had the nerve to ask for 20 dhz for 1 broken glass and 1 broken cup (in reality those are cheap cup and glass that cost them like 1 dhz each), saying I needed to pay in order for them to issue a void command on their point of sale, which I did because it was only 20 dhz and I didn't have the time to argue, i hopes that someday 300 dhz will be refunded to my account.
Overall, it was an average experience given the price I paid, about 190dhz in April, which is not high season for Dubai and still not summer ... In summer It needs to be no more than 110 to make sense since it is 15 mins walking from nearest metro station and you would have to rely exclusively on taxis to move around.
AAnonymous Usercently stayed at CITYMAX HOTEL in burdubai , and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location is fantastic—close to major attractions and easy to access. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the essentials. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the modern decor.
EendoraThere are no disposable slippers in the hotel, and you have to prepare your own toothbrush and toothpaste. There is no retractable rain shower head, and the shower head is fixed. You can check in at 2 o'clock. There is no way for foreign hotels, and everything else is fine.
IIRINA21I stayed for 2 days on the way from Sharjah to Dubai. It is more convenient to explore the Deira area and very convenient to the beach by bus 8 from Al Ghubaiba (17 minutes) and also, if you plan to go shopping in this area, then the location is also very convenient. Exit the Sharaf DG metro (exit 2) and go straight ahead - you won't pass by. If you like India - then this is the place for you, the hotel is decorated with elements of Indian style. The staff is polite and brought a kettle right away when I asked for it. Breakfast, of course, is also Indian. You don't have to take it, but in the area nearby there is only a large Indian cafe, well, and supermarkets, shops - in this part of Dubai everything is within walking distance. Nearby I found a store also with Indian products mainly, and there is a spice department at the best prices that I have seen in three emirates !! For getting to know the area and for a short stop - I liked it. One thing, the air conditioner rattled (some kind of prehistoric), like a tractor, but it cooled well. Naturally I used earplugs and slept well, but people with insomnia can't survive this) There is a night club on the first floor, but the sounds didn't reach the room or maybe I just sleep so soundly))
SSadiq Abdulwahed AhmedThe location of this hotel is very good. It is located in an area which is very close to a variety of restaurants and shops and it is very likely to get a taxi very quickly.
