"Very nice place, studio serviced apartments are very nice. But don't get a room close to the entrance gate and road because cars and motorcycles will sleep deprive you all night. Very busy road as it goes down to the beach carparks with very loud cars and motorcycles going past all night until about 4am-5am. So request a room down the opposite end of the resort from the road and you should have an awesome stay. Resort has its own scuba diving courses, kite surfing lessons and wind surfing and paddle boards and stuff. It has a very good gym with top of the line gym machines and equipment and a very nice swimming pool area. Resort right smack bang on the beach. It has a nice sitting area where you can enjoy a meal and some drinks and look out at the ocean. "

"The hotel is connected to Royal Ascot and has a small swimming pool and sun loungers where you can sunbathe. We got a room on the 2nd floor, with one bed (not very large), the view from the window was not very good - on the shabby walls of the neighboring building. But the location of the hotel is quite good in terms of independent travel by public transport - there is a bus stop nearby (1 minute), and a metro station (8 minutes) on the green line. Everything in the hotel is Indian - smells, music, people, like the BurDubai area itself)"

"Honestly, I read several negative and positive comments but I decided to stay at this hotel because of the price and location. The price was very good and the quality was high. It is a very well located hotel near the Rigga metro station, there are many shops and restaurants nearby and obviously the parking service must be paid for the location. The breakfast was excellent for the price with variety and the essentials. Check in was quick, you must leave 200 aed or ID as support until your check out in case you damage something, it is understandable. The staff is very attentive and professional. I had no problems with noise, the room was large with everything I needed. I like that it has 3 elevators and you don't have to wait long. It really beats many expensive hotels. I recommend it and would return again, it is an ideal hotel for couples and tourists who want to explore Dubai. Thank you for your hospitality"

"Great hotel as usual. I book this to my couple friend visiting first time Dubai since I have a good experiences with this Sofitel I recommend it to everyone and I book to any of my guest in UAE as top choice. Breakfast generously alot of varieties optional choices. The room I book is big and nice with palm view. Only the issue the weather is too hot in the beach and we cannot stay too much either also in the pool. I request for some suprise gift for the birthday gentleman and the Sofitel staff did there best to impress the gentleman as always. They do beyond there limit and it's make me amaze and the guest who stay that they feel welcome always. Great job Team Sofitel Dubai the palm. Till next time.. Jeffrey Bernadas :)"

"The check-in experience is poor. If the overall score is considered, it would be unqualified. It would be about 2 points. But the hotel's facilities and decoration are very good, so the price is so high. But the transportation is very inconvenient. The twin family room booked is large. The single-bed room we were given when we checked in was small in size. We were told that the room we booked was not available. My friend and I went to breakfast. The hotel staff led us to a table. We just sit down and suddenly, a waiter rushed to us and shouted rudely”this table is reserved!” My friend and I were astonished, did not know what happened. Then he made us leave and left us scared. Luckly a nice young lady noticed us, and came to ask what happened and then led us to another table. We asked the young lady- why breakfast table was reserved? We've never heard of it~~ She didn't reply directly. But even though the table was reserved indeed, the waiter could have tell us calmly, we would understand without any doubt. No need to shout out of malice. We went to the restaurant for breakfast. The waiter took us to a table and sat down. As soon as we were seated, a male waiter rushed out and said very savagely that this table was reserved and forced us to leave our seats. My friends and I were stunned and stood there dumbfounded without knowing what was going on. Fortunately, a young waitress saw us and asked us to sit down at another table. We asked: Do you also have table reservations for breakfast? The waiter didn't answer directly. But even if the table was actually reserved, the waiter could have said it nicely and there was no need to be so malicious. This is a hotel with terrible service and the room rates are so expensive it's not worth it. Will never come again. Personal lessons for your reference"

CCarol Lam 716Service: - Overall is good, reception manager Pei Pei demonstrated good service and fast response, but one reception guy was disappointing - Gobin who was the night time reception, was lowering the whole level of the hotel, ashamed the whole hotel (Incident: we saw an advertisement in the elevator showing 160 AED for 6 bottled Heineken beer in the afternoon, that night we ordered by dialing 0 in the room service, then when paying the bill, it was 252 AED, we didn't ask further for the price because we were afriad we missed some conditions in the advertisement. The other night, we planned to order again, so we see again the advertisement in the elevator, it just stated ”Dial 0 or scan QR code to place order”, then we headed to the reception and asked if there is any hidden conditions. Gobin just questioned me if my picture is taken on the day and told me it is a recent promotion, so it's wasn't started on the day i ordered. That's totally trying to drag the problem to us, i was never thinking to get back what i over paid, and you didnt need to defend and attack me at once. And then he asked if I have any proof that the advertisement was published on the day I order the beer, I said I didn’t take a picture on that day, then I asked him which day this promotion started, he failed to answer. Then he quibbled and said because we didn't tell over the phone that we wanted to get the promotion beer, so we couldn't get 160 AED beer. I was so pissed, but I was too focused on how I can proof the promotion has already started on the day I ordered the beer, then I went back to our room and I didn't pay much attention to his words. After going back my room, my family told me again what Gobin said just now, it was totally humiliating and treated us as a fool. Is that I don't mention the promotion price, then I need to pay extra? It's totally nonsence.  The original price was 240 AED for 6 bottles, we paid 252 AED just because you charged me on a price of single bottle 42 AED each x 6 bottles. Because I was totally pissed off, I went back and argued with him, he knew he couldn't cheat me anymore, then he passed our case to his colleague. His colleague ****** in his service too (but i forgot to memorize his name), same as Gobin, he was trying to point the problem back to us, he said because there was no bottled beer so the staff gave us canned beer that night, so I was charged for a higher price, then I told him to see the two remaining bottles in my room and i took picture on that night as well. At last, they failed to put back the fault to us, and gave me back the money. The whole incident was nonsense, and ruined my mood in the whole night. I had never tried to feel so pissed for a staff in the hotel before. Room: - Spacious, clean, sufficient facilities - Light flashes in washroom, tolerated for two nights but finally too annoyed, so reflected this on a random surve, Pei Pei approached me the next day when we were having breakfast and sent engineer to fix the light (she offered change of room but we turned down, and she offered a complimentary dinner and a fruit platter) Gym: - More than enough for a hotel Swimming Pool: - Small and not many seats Breakfast Buffet: - Large variety of choice and taste good

DDilailaI recently had the pleasure of staying at Staybridge Suites in Dubai's Finance Centre, and it exceeded my expectations in many ways. The location is fantastic—metro is just opposite!!!! and just a short distance from attractions like the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. The suite itself was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a fully functional kitchen, which was a nice touch for those looking to prepare their own meals. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after busy days. The hotel offers excellent amenities, including a lovely outdoor pool and a well-equipped fitness center. I particularly appreciated the complimentary breakfast; it had a good variety of options to start the day right. The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. Their willingness to assist with any requests added to the overall positive experience. Overall, my stay at Staybridge Suites was enjoyable and hassle-free. I would highly recommend it for both business travelers and families looking for a comfortable place to stay in Dubai.

JJUSTVALERIEThat was the best experience in Dubai! We really liked this hotel. The location is near to everything, metro station is about 15mins by foot, the district is so quiet suitable for families. The room is spacious and so clean, great service. Staff are all so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend to visit the restaurant in the 2 nd floor at the evening, atmosphere and food is amazing. Only one disadvantage we found is it could be more variety of food on the breakfast. Anyway, it was tasty as well!

NNmadcTo be honest pleasantly surprised with this stay and would book again - was very comfortable and very relaxing - I had a good nights sleep. Only thing I didn’t like was receptionist said they were fully booked when room where available to buy online. Rather they didn’t lie. Other than that, interesting history behind the boat and felt like a small experience on a cruise. Recommended

EEva G.After a disappointing stay earlier this week at another 4-star hotel in Tecom, I decided to try Novotel Al Barsha for the weekend, mainly because Swiss Butter Steakhouse is inside the hotel. My friend Hannah and I checked in with a mix of curiosity and hope for a better experience. The hotel does seem busy, which contradicts what some other guests have said. To their credit, we were given our room right away at check-in. I had booked a Superior Twin Room and specifically requested a higher floor for a better view. I also accepted a smoking room, understanding the compromise, but the overwhelming smell of smoke in the hallway left me wondering: shouldn’t a 4-star hotel manage this better? Upon entrance, to our surprise, we found a joined single bed instead of twins. We called reception, hoping to move rooms, but they offered to just separate the beds. Regret hit when we saw how small the single beds were! Honestly, if you’re tall or on the bigger side, this setup will not be comfortable—especially if you’re staying with friends or family. To add, the bed’s mattress clearly needed flipping, as there was an obvious slope that made it uncomfortable to sleep on. Adding to the unfortunate, despite being on the 25th floor, there was no view to speak of—something we were really looking forward to. It felt like a missed opportunity, especially given the hotel’s location and our specific request for a high floor. The bathroom was another letdown. The tissue holder was almost broken, the materials inside looked cheap, and the toilet bowl was not properly cleaned, with visible brown markings—pretty gross for a 4-star hotel. Thankfully, the bathtub was at least clean, so that was something. On the bright side, the highlight of this hotel is definitely their spa and pool. We were given discount vouchers for Soul and Senses Spa, and my masseuse, Shatria, did a great job. The pool is a decent size and clean, while the sauna and steam room were perfect. The health club overall is the ace of this place. For breakfast, I agree with other reviews—it’s decent. The restaurant was packed in the morning, but the vibe was good. However, they don’t escort guests to tables; you just find a seat yourself, which is fine but felt a bit unpolished. One odd thing I noticed: while housekeeping did try their best to fulfill our requests—like providing coffee capsules and water—there was no creamer for the coffee and tea. Even 3-star hotels provide that, so it was a first for me (maybe it was just the standard). Despite these minimal disappointments, I still try to see the positive side of this hotel and did my best to take decent photos that you may see for reference. Overall, it seems like this hotel mainly caters to group tourists, which makes me wonder if they’re sacrificing quality for quantity. I hope they work on improving their services, including room quality, views, and attention to detail, so they can leave a better impression of Dubai for future guests.

MMundaneMaidenAs a 5 Star Hotel, The Canvas is a decent one for its price. It's also a part of Accor Hotels, which I really liked, as Accor hasn't disappointed me in all my stays across most of its facilities. I booked an Executive King Room with Breakfast. I liked the interior around the hotel and inside the room. The room features an open-air bathtub which is really relaxing and it's also worth noting that they are generous with the complimentary goodies as well. 😉 I liked that I didn't have to request for anything upon arrival as the room is fully equipped, clean, and restocked properly. One thing I noticed though is that the air conditioning is not the best, I found myself sweating so bad during my sleep though I could've easily called for assistance but I'm still half asleep so I let it go. Pool is one of the main things for me whenever I check in. I visited the pool at 8AM (they mentioned upon checking in that it's from 8AM to 7PM and I planned to eat breakfast after a dip in the pool) but I felt dismayed about three main things: 1. It's not open, not even a single soul in the rooftop cleaning the area or preparing the pool. It is blocked with potted plants, barrier posts, tables and (ironically) a sign that says it opens at 8AM. If guests have been informed that it opens at 8AM then it should be open and functional by 8AM. I waited for a good 10 minutes but no one came to open it so I left. 2. The rooftop also converts to a bar at night so you can just imagine that the place is a mess in the morning, they should have someone clean it early in the morning or at least before the pool opens but again no one was there. 3. It didn't look like in the photos. There were a lot of things around that didn't looked like it belonged to a ”rooftop pool/lounge” for me. It's (literally) A bar and A pool cramped altogether in such a small space where it doesn't even feel like it complements each other or even look relaxing in a way. There were 4-5 plastic reclining beds without a ”bed”/foam padding and it's all dusty which could have been actually enough for me to just lay down and stay for awhile to wait until it opens but since it's dusty, I didn't even bother. The rest seems to me like trash from last night's party. Just for reference, Adagio Hotel (an Accor 4-star hotel) has Crate & Barrel for their sunbeds and towels. 🙈 Novotel (4-star hotel) and is also a part of Accor, also have a really nice rooftop pool/bar where you can relax without even the need of using the pool. It's nothing grand in there but it's already nice for me so I really do feel like this is a huge letdown for The Canvas which has a 5-star hotel rating. As for the continental breakfast, it's great as all the staff there were really attentive and hands on deck to assist everyone. They even offered a cake and party sparklers to one of the guest which is commendable as it shows that they care about their guests. They have a live egg station, salad bar, juice corner, meats, pastry, cold cuts, and fruits which is a standard but also complete and satisfactory. Overall, I'd still say that I've enjoyed my stay that I extended for another night. The hotel is decent and their rooms are nice. I'd come back or recommend this to my friends but personally, I would've liked it more if the rooftop pool is maintained properly. Thank you team and all the best for next time ☀️
