3-Star Hotels in Dubai

This wasn't a very satisfying experience, and I'm disappointed with Ctrip's ability to handle things. What would be a 3-star standard back home costs over a thousand here. Dubai is expensive, I get it. The room was basic, with no special amenities. The towels were a bit yellowish/worn, and the deadbolt was broken (if you're bothered by this, beware, or go with a companion/bring your own doorstop). The kettle had a tiny capacity and would overflow every time I used it. They provided one glass bottle of drinking water daily, along with the most basic tea/coffee packets. The hairdryer was locked in the drawer (probably to prevent theft/they're very thrifty). The toilet paper was too thin, which really reflects a hotel's quality. There were only two pillows, and Dubai in winter can be a bit chilly; the AC made it cold, but without it, it felt stuffy. The breakfast looked lively, but there weren't many tasty options. The front desk staff and restaurant staff were all very enthusiastic. There's a free shuttle to several shopping malls, parks, and the airport. Unfortunately, someone in our group got sick, so we checked out a day early. The hotel refused to refund the room fee (even with Ctrip's intervention). Most hotels, both domestic and international, typically offer this service, but this place was very unyielding (they even grandly called it 'contractual spirit,' which is just baffling). As a service industry, you need to provide good service and a good experience. If you can't, and others can, then you're out. I won't be choosing this hotel again. 🙂↔️ I suggest Ctrip lower its recommendation rating!

Pick this hotel if the location makes sense as it's not in downtown Dubai, for me the location was near for business meetings so fine. Be aware that the expo area has pop up events this might be a great thing or bad depending on if you like in my case Christmas songs blasted at your room from late afternoon to midnight....

Excellent, simple yet comfortable hotel not far from the airport. They had no problem letting us check in early and even moved our breakfast to the day of arrival since we had a late-night departure, all without any fuss.

Overall, the hotel is pretty good and offers great value for money. It's conveniently located near several key attractions in the old city. Plus, it's right next to Gold Souk, so after exploring there, you can easily take a boat across to the hotel, which is super convenient. I'd recommend staying two nights. A pleasant surprise was the infinity pool on the rooftop!

Overall, the hotel itself is quite good, especially considering the price we managed to book it for. In this city, hotel prices are generally unreasonably high, so this option felt like a fair deal. What was good: - The hotel honestly deserves around 4 stars. - Good and varied breakfast was included. - Rooms and facilities match the category. - The hotel is located close to a metro station, which sounds good on paper. Major downside: location - Despite being near the metro, the surrounding area is terrible. - The road leading to the hotel is in very poor condition. - There are no proper sidewalks — moving with a suitcase is extremely uncomfortable. - Dust, dirt, construction sites everywhere. - The area feels neglected and unpleasant, especially for travelers. Final thoughts: The hotel itself is fine and could be a good option if it were located elsewhere. Unfortunately, the environment around it completely ruins the experience. Honestly, after this trip, I don’t see myself ever coming back to this city.

I randomly picked City Palace Hotel on Trip.com and was a bit nervous about staying there, but it turned out to be far better than I expected in every way. The room was well-equipped and clean, breakfast had a great variety, and it was convenient for getting around. The price was also reasonable, making it a top choice for business travelers in Dubai. Everything just fell into place perfectly.

The hotel is definitely worth every penny. The area is peaceful and quiet, which made the whole experience very comfortable. The rooms are beautiful, well-maintained, and the toilets are clean and fresh. Overall, great value for money and a place I would happily stay at again.

Had a good customer experience except that I was greatly disappointed when I was charged 100DHR for inviting a guest to my room. I’ve been in several hotels in different countries but I never heard of such insane charges.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stayed at Abjad Crown Hotel and really enjoyed it. The rooms were neat and tidy, and the staff were super welcoming and always ready to help. The overall service was smooth and pleasant. Yes, it gets a little noisy at night because of the clubs downstairs, but if you don’t mind a lively vibe, it actually adds to the atmosphere. Great value for money!
