Hotels in Sheikh Zayed / DIFC, Dubai

The location is excellent, right next to a subway station, and there are many Indian restaurants nearby. I'm not sure if it's because it's the off-season, but breakfast has become extremely basic. It's very common to wait twenty minutes for the elevator when going downstairs after 9 AM, and the front desk said there's nothing they can do about it.

Overall, my stay was quite average and didn't really meet my expectations for a JW Marriott (five-star) hotel. I had booked a sea-view room, but upon check-in, I was informed that the building housing the sea-view rooms was temporarily closed, so I couldn't get the room type I had originally booked. The hotel assigned me to another building, stating it offered the best available view. However, the actual view was significantly different from the sea view shown on the booking page. What was particularly disappointing was that there was no prior notification, nor was any compensation or upgrade offered throughout the process. During my stay, I called the front desk to inquire about a late check-out. The first call was disconnected almost immediately after being answered—I'm not sure if it was an accidental hang-up or another reason—and I only managed to communicate successfully after calling a second time. Additionally, I noticed some red marks on my leg, possibly insect bites, during my stay. While I can't definitively link it to the hotel, I'd still recommend that the hotel enhance its pest control measures in the rooms. As for breakfast, the overall quality was decent, but the variety was quite ordinary, and there's definitely room for improvement compared to other five-star hotels of the same caliber. During this Dubai trip, I also stayed at The St. Regis and Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates. In comparison, this hotel has room for improvement in terms of service details, overall stay experience, and honoring booked room types. I hope the hotel can further enhance its service quality in the future.

The place is located at the center thus so convenient to go anywhere. The staff are friendly, approachable and neat. Big shout out to Mercline (i dont know if i spelled her name right) for the great service. Our room has a great view of the observatory and burj khalifa. The bed is comfy and the toilet is with hot/cold shower. This hotel is Value for money.

Arrived with a rental car, but there's no valet parking. You have to park it yourself. All the staff were very polite, kind, and extremely helpful when asked for directions. The DMCC Metro station is right across the street, about a 5-minute walk away. Dubai Marina is just around the corner, offering a great atmosphere in the evenings. The rooms are clean and tidied daily. We had a room with a balcony; unfortunately, the Wi-Fi reception there was poor, though it was fine inside the room. Breakfast wasn't great; you had to order from a menu, unlike our previous two hotels which offered a breakfast buffet. Otherwise, our 3-day stay was perfectly fine.

The facilities, dining, and location are all excellent, and the bed is very comfortable. For breakfast, you can choose between the 1st and 2nd floors. There are a lot of guests, and several elevators, but because the building is very tall, you might have to wait a bit sometimes.

The Gevora Hotel is a lovely hotel, very well located, close to downtown Dubai and the Museum of the Future. There's also a metro station just a few steps away, making it super convenient for getting around Dubai's attractions. The room we were given on the 27th floor was very spacious and comfortable. Although the views were to one side of the building, given the hotel's height, you could still get great city views. The beds were comfy, the sheets clean, and the pillows were also comfortable. Our room had a kitchen, but in reality, you can only use the fridge as cooking isn't allowed in the apartment. However, it's useful if you want to bring in pre-made food or drinks. The breakfast was comprehensive and varied with different food selections; it just needed a little more fruit, but that's a minor detail. The only annoying thing was the construction noise around the hotel, which barely stops for a few hours in the early morning. But this is a constant issue in most Dubai hotels; there's construction everywhere, and it's hard to escape the noise. Another thing we suggested to the hotel is to renovate the carpets as they looked worn or stained in some places. Everything else was good. The pool and gym area were very nice and offered beautiful city views.

We stayed in Ibis for 2 nights. The hotel is good, rooms a bit old but cozy, have everything you need. We had first floor and windows looking to the garden. The location is 5 min walking distance from Insurance Company metro station which is so good. Area is also nice, there is mall and a lot of cafes. There is also Carrefour next to the hotel.

We are extremely satisfied with our stay at this hotel. The hotel is very new, so everything is very clean and hygienic. The rooms are very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The service is top-notch! The breakfast is also of good quality. Finally, the hotel is very well located: just a few seconds from the metro and a 5-minute drive from the Burj/Dubai Mall. We recommend it 100%!

The hotel is quite old and definitely needs some renovation. Unfortunately, the swimming pool was under maintenance during our stay, so we didn’t get the chance to swim or enjoy the beautiful city view, which was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. The bathroom also needs improvement the shower knob was broken and didn’t work properly, making it inconvenient to use. On the positive side, the hotel staff upgraded our room from a Deluxe Room to a Suite, which we really appreciated. The food was also a highlight of our stay, with a great variety of delicious dishes to choose from. While we were grateful for the room upgrade and enjoyed the dining experience, the hotel’s aging facilities and maintenance issues affected our overall experience.

This was a last-minute stopover for our first night in Dubai. Even though we only stayed one night, the hotel's location was excellent. Just a few hundred meters and a right turn led us to Dubai's main street with all the skyscrapers. The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming. Since we were traveling with a child, they kindly provided an extra duvet free of charge and converted the sofa into a sofa bed, which was spacious enough for us and our little one. It was also super convenient to go for a run in the morning from the hotel to the main road where the tall buildings are located. We were very fortunate that the airport closed due to the Iran attacks the day after we left the UAE. I hope all the hotel staff and tourists are safe, and I wish for world peace!
