The spacious room with full Mt Fuji view. Private Onsen need to book but free of charge. Public Onsen no need to book. The dinner and breakfast also amazing. Highly recommend this hotel if u want to see sun rise from your room. Recommend to stay on 3F

The view here is amazing and not crowded

The hotel was located near Shoji lake not Kawaguchiko lake so you have to take the bus from the main station. Overall is okay for our stay. It’s quiet and traditional style. Food is superb.

Yamadaya, a popular hotel near Lake Shojin, is famous on domestic social networking sites for its private bath with a clear view of Mount Fuji. After checking in, I knew that this might be the only highlight of the hotel. The room is old, the facilities are even older, charging is inconvenient, the door and floor can make noises, and I slept the worst two nights of the whole trip. The food and hot springs are standard, the hygiene is very average, and the atmosphere of the whole hotel is okay.

I liked everything very much, the authentic style of the room, we plunged into the atmosphere of traditional Japanese life, everything is clean and cozy, although a little old, but that's the whole flavor, after hot baths, a deep sleep on soft tatami and a blanket, wonderful nature around, a view of Fuji, the lake from the window and silence! Thank you)

A good ryokan with onsen. Good service, spacious room with traditional Japanese futoras instead of a bed, varied breakfast and excellent onsen - both public and private. Of the minuses - location (50 minutes by bus from Kawaguchiko, which runs very rarely) and the lack of a cooler with cold/hot water (but this is more due to the traditional nature of the hotel). It's a pity that we were unlucky with the weather - it rained both in the evening and in the morning, Fuji was not visible. Otherwise, everything is fine.

Grandpa is a very simple person and deserves praise. This is the most comfortable day we stayed in Tokyo.
