NATIVE HOTEL CHANGBAISHAN

I searched around the resort for hotels, and all the twin beds were only 1.2m wide, while king beds were 1.8m. This place, however, has a 'kang' (heated brick bed), which is big enough and not at all cramped, making it perfect for families with kids! Although the hotel isn't near the commercial street, the shuttle service is quick, and in the evening, you can ask the front desk to help call a car, so it's still very convenient. However, the room doesn't have a proper table or chairs, only a small table on the 'kang', which isn't very practical.

This hotel is a hidden gem, especially during holidays when other places are packed. The moment you step into the hotel area, the whole world just quiets down. The room is very spacious, and it perfectly blends traditional folk elements without sacrificing comfort – I doubt you'd find another place like it in all of Changbai Mountain. I was worried the kang (heated bed) might be hard, but it was actually quite comfortable. My only suggestion would be for the bellboy leading the way to proactively help female guests with their luggage; it got a bit awkward at one point. The complimentary activities at Huameisheng Resort during holidays aren't really recommended. Besides feeding small animals, most things involve long queues, so it's not worth it. I'd suggest paying for local activities like rafting, horseback riding, or ginseng digging instead.
