Best Galle Spa Hotels

The hotel is good, but the facilities and equipment are a little less, the service is average, and the Chinese restaurant is not allowed to enter

We stayed here in June when it’s low season so it’s not crowded. Staff was super friendly and the pool size is huge facing the sea. In June the waves are really rough so can’t go swim in the ocean. Breakfast and Dinner was amazing, hotel restaurant manager and staff’s service was exceptional. Our room was facing the sea so we get to wake up seeing the ocean. Room was very clean, the only thing is there are lots of spider babies around the sink and closet, also some tiny ants around, everything else is really good. We will definitely come again!!

The infinity pool of Bawa architecture is a wonderful hotel. Many of the customers seemed to be from Sri Lanka. There were many people like honeymooners, but there were surprisingly many families and families. Although the hotel was a little old, it was solidly built and there was no problem with the plumbing. Service outside the restaurant was very good. The restaurant seems to take more than 30 minutes to bring out what you ordered at lunch. And it was a little cold. Coffee for breakfast also took quite a while to come out. Housekeeping and receptionists were very nice.

It takes 10 minutes to walk to the old town. The sea view outdoor swimming pool is the highlight. It is very comfortable even if you lie there and daydream! The room is considered large in Galle. Although it is a bit old, it is well maintained. Avoid the rooms on the first floor, which are semi-underground...

Really enjoyed my stay at fort bazaar. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Due to the rainy weather down south I changed my plans to go to Tangalle and stay a couple of extra days at Fort Bazaar and enjoyed the spa and walking around Galle. I was a solo traveler and felt safe and comfortable there. Definitely somewhere I would consider to stay again

The proximity to the iconic lighthouse and the beaches, just a short walk away, adds to the charm of the hotel. Starting the day with the wonderful breakfast options available was a delight. Moreover, the professionalism of the staff was commendable; they were attentive and ensured a seamless experience throughout my stay. The combination of location, service, and comfort makes The Heritage Hotel a place I would gladly choose again for future visits to Galle.

Departed for Sri Lanka on September 28, 2023, and checked into the Amangalla Hotel in Galle Fort. It was the sixth Aman hotel to check in. It felt great. Amangalla was built in the 17th century. It was formerly a military command in the Netherlands. It later became the first hotel in Sri Lanka. It was acquired by the Aman Group in 1995. The hotel is not big, but it is well-equipped with swimming pools, massage pools, yoga rooms, etc. , you can experience local shaving services and foot massages. Amangalla is the smallest Aman I have ever stayed in. It is in the middle of the ancient city of Galle and a 10-minute walk from the lighthouse. The surrounding area is very convenient for eating, drinking and entertainment. There is the Tuna and the Crab restaurant, which is a brother restaurant of the one-Michelin-star restaurant in Colombo. If you have enough money, you can try it. Be sure to choose his tea plantation tour, which will also take you to see the sea turtle hatching base and stilt fishing. It was very interesting. Although I fell off and stepped on a rock while fishing on stilts and was injured, I gained interesting photos and a rare life experience. The ancient city of Galle is also worth visiting. Amangalla can arrange cars and tour guides. The hotel is right in the center of the ancient city. The location is good and it is very convenient to go everywhere. Although I fell into the sea while fishing on stilts and cut my feet. All in all, it was still a very interesting experience. The two Amans in Sri Lanka are different from the ones we stayed in before. They are far away from Colombo and do not provide free airport pick-up services. The airport pick-up fee for the five of us was about US$400 in a large amanganla. It should be noted that if two Aman activities are booked for consecutive days, they generally need to be booked from the official website, not Ctrip agents.

Very friendly host and his staff. The location is good. A really beautiful villa with all amenities. The best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka (we had 9 hotels). The pool is amazing. The hotel staff swept and cleaned the area every day. But the floor in the room was a bit dusty. Slow breakfast service. My advice is to serve breakfast indoors so that the guests are not bitten by mosquitoes. Thank you so much for your hospitality! I definitely recommend this villa to all travelers.

Haha; Looking up is the stars and fireflies; meals and prices, during the Chinese New Year, are reasonable; but, the platform is said to be a twin room, and after the hotel is repeatedly confirmed, it is still a big bed; forget it, just one night, an extra bed is equivalent to more than 100 yuan; The reply was also very fast. The two people came in with a solid wooden single bed. The mattress and bedding were worthy of the price and quite comfortable.
