"I upgraded the room to the store, two beds, and it cost $28. This time I stayed at three hotels that paid for the store, which are one or two hundred higher than the online price, and it is better to pay the online payment. B&B is generally not good, but it is more appropriate to bargain in the off-season. This hotel is the most expensive hotel I have stayed in for the past few days. It costs 1100 RMB a night. It is more expensive than Marriott and the Heritage Hotel. The bathing water in the room is not hot. I don’t know if it is expensive in the ancient city."
"It's very close to the beach, but it's a bit difficult to drive in because the road is small.
The boss is a very enthusiastic old man. The breakfast included the next morning was very rich. The old man kept adding food for us because he was afraid that we were not full. He also chatted with us and was a kind person.
The store is not big, and there are only us and a European family. The only thing I think is not good is that it uses an electric water heater, so the hot water for bathing is limited, and it can't be unlimited hot water like at home."
"A very good hotel, designed by the famous Sri Lankan designer Bawa. This trip is a hotel series specially selected by the designer friends, and it lives up to expectations. Hope to stay here again in the future."

"We booked this villa for 4 nights. Two rooms on the first floor. There are two more rooms on the second. The third floor houses a restaurant. We got great aesthetic pleasure from the location and layout. Everything is done wisely. The territory is not large, but very cozy, with a beautiful terrace and lawn, turning into a jungle with a pond. The hotel is managed and serviced by a wonderful family. Very kind and helpful people. At our request, they organized two evenings with seafood barbecue for us.
Monkeys, peacocks, and other birds pleased us with their visit - they added exoticism. We did not want to leave. And when our hotel reservation in Negombo was cancelled, we were happy to extend our stay here for another two days.
The sea is nearby, but not very suitable for swimming. We went by bus or taxi to the beaches of Unawatuna for about 10 minutes. We really liked Jungle Beach.
We definitely recommend it."
"The interior of the house is a bit special, but it was the only night we stayed in Sri Lanka for 7 nights that the child had to pay extra for accommodation, and we booked a large family room (two floors can accommodate 5 people). We were a family of three, so we had to pay for the child separately. If the child wanted to add some watermelon for breakfast, he had to pay separately. This was the only one like this in 7 days. Fruits can be added for free at other accommodations for breakfast"
"Really enjoyed my stay at fort bazaar. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Due to the rainy weather down south I changed my plans to go to Tangalle and stay a couple of extra days at Fort Bazaar and enjoyed the spa and walking around Galle.
I was a solo traveler and felt safe and comfortable there.
Definitely somewhere I would consider to stay again"
"The hotel is deep in the village, and the location is relatively remote, but very quiet.
The morning wake-up service is provided by the peacock in the tree, which is very special.
The room is very large, and the toilet is also very large (the toilets in Sri Lanka are so large 😄), but the interior decoration is not very coordinated with the exterior. There is a feeling of ”spending all the money on the exterior, and there is no money for the interior, so just mess around”.
The breakfast is a set meal, and you will be asked what kind of eggs you want, and the rest are the usual combination of toast and fruit."
"I really like this one. The mansion of the legendary Dutch navy general has only a dozen rooms. There is no noisy feeling in other hotels and it is very quiet. They are all flat, with a large courtyard in the middle, which is very comfortable. Each room is extremely large and decorated with a sense of history. The beds are oversized and estimated to be 2.2 meters. The dining was good and the waiters were polite. I just met them for Chinese New Year, and in the evening I greeted everyone to go to the yard to set off fireworks."
"It's very convenient in the ancient city. But the storage capacity of the water heater is too small, and the water is not very hot after washing. The air conditioner in our room didn't cool down, but luckily it wasn't very hot at night. Just turn on the electric fan. There is a coffee corner with self-service hot water and a dining table on the second floor where we can make instant noodles, eat food and play cards, which is quite good. I couldn't find the service staff at the house at night, and there were no tuk-tuk buses at the door, so my child had gastroenteritis and went to the local hospital for injections the next morning. But overall I think the price/performance ratio is okay."

Outstanding
SS. N. N.Very good accommodation for the beach vacation in Unavatuna. Villa is located far from the noizy street in the living suburb, neibours are local people, so we heared no any party, just sounds of nature and tuk-tuks. All the key locations are not far from the place, wine store, friut store, small supermarcet, of course beaches, both Turtle and main can be reached by foots.
Garden is of proper care, there are some facilities there to spend evening on the air.
Public areas (hall, dinning-cooking rooms) are clean, there are big fridge, washing machine, gas owen, cookware, dishes, glasses, so you can Cook. Owner comes every evening to change trach bins and clean up halls.
Room is not big, but there are all the nesessary, bad wide enough, bed line clean and New, two big and two small towels. Air conditioner is New.
Very beautiful bath room, same as you see in ad
Owner is very helpful and nice.
Welcome to Shri Lanka
JJD75A little hidden gem we found to break up our trip between Tangalle and the airport. It’s off the beaten track, we came in via train and caught an Uber to the accomodation. We were upgraded to a larger suite on the top floor with stunning views.
The hotel was fantastic, set on magnificent grounds, the unassuming exterior descends into a modern accommodation block. Amazing views of the lake, we opted to eat our meals on the balcony soaking it all in with excellent room service, tasty breakfast and a bar / restaurant downstairs. We enjoyed the hospitality and the price point represents very good value for money. Great pool and outdoor space to relax in.
Absolutely perfect for a stop over as you venture through this wonderful country.
GGuest UserFascinating scenery. Every corner of the hotel is a beautiful landscape. The hotel's service staff is professional and kind. They will patiently answer your questions. Any problems during check-in will be solved immediately and you will be given feedback. The hotel has a private beach, which is clean and beautiful. The private swimming pool is clean and beautiful. It can be said to be the ceiling of travel.
JJIANLINGThe house is very high-class and simple, and the natural ecological environment makes people feel comfortable. Just prepare the anti-mosquito liquid and close the door easily. The overall design of the house designed by the landlord is artistic and the details are attentive, clean and refreshing, especially the open open-air bathroom is impressive! After six days of fatigue, I took a super refreshing bath, refreshing! The landlord patiently and meticulously asked each of us about our breakfast preferences, and enjoyed a very rich and delicious breakfast by the blue swimming pool and the monkey swinging tree! Everyone even has a carefully fried double egg! Great stay experience!
BBENJAMIN WILLIAM HANSENWe visited during off-season, so there were very few other guests. The first morning we had an unusual ”set” breakfast, which was understandable as no buffet was offered when there were so few guests. Water pressure/temperature was unstable and there was a weird pulsating noise in the bathroom. On the positive side, the staff were very nice, friendly, and helpful. It's a lovely estate in absolute terms and stunning in relative terms. Very near the trendy fort area, which is worth a visit. Overall pleased.
FFred ConcklinThe Cozy Sea View Inn in Sri Lanka offers a charming and intimate retreat for travelers seeking a tranquil seaside getaway. Nestled along the coast, this boutique inn combines the allure of stunning ocean views with the warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality.

The location of the Cozy Sea View Inn is one of its most attractive features. AAngelinaChengThe hotel facilities are good, and the washbasin in the bathroom is relatively high. There is a separate children's swimming pool, which is relatively dirty. Other pools with a depth of 1.05m can be used. The dining time and check-out time of Ctrip are different from the actual hotel, and the hotel shall prevail. When checking in, the front desk asked for an all-inclusive wristband, but it was not given to us. Later, we downloaded an app of the hotel and learned that only with this wristband can we enjoy the hotel services.
GGuest UserWe can not say enough good things about our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. The entire staff was welcoming and attentive to details. We arrived at 3:00am and the hotel had prepared some fruit and sandwiches for our arrival. My wife is celiac and the staff did an amazing job ensuring there were food options available for her. They even prepared traditional Sri Lankan food for us to try. The beach club gets very busy during the day but we still felt like the only guests there. This place has a great island vibe with music and different entertainment daily. We will definitely be returning before the end of our trip.
TTourAmoWe had a lovely and relaxing stay at Temple Tree Resort & Spa. The beachfront location is perfect—calm, peaceful, and great for long walks or just enjoying the sunset. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with a nice bathtub and a great view from the balcony.
The staff were friendly and always ready to help—special thanks to the restaurant team for the warm service. The breakfast was tasty and had plenty of variety. The pool and spa areas were also a great place to unwind.
Some areas could use a little updating, and the food at dinner was average, but overall it was a very pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend this resort for couples or families looking for a peaceful beach escape in Sri Lanka.
GGuest UserThe gold bubble was a fantastic place to stay. I was a little worried traveling by myself to Sri Lanka for the first time but the staff at Gold Bubble put me at ease. Upon arrival, I was given one of the staff's what's app numbers, and was able to text any time with any questions I had. They were very attentive and always asked what I was up to for the day. It felt like having 2 brothers help me out on my trip. They served a lovely breakfast every day with fresh fruit, toast, an egg and coffee. Gold Bubble is a comfortable hotel with a 5 star staff. I felt comfortable, it was clean, and I felt safe during my stay. I would book again next time.
