The second time I stayed here, the same ocean view room was set up as before, but the room felt a lot smaller than the previous one. Resolutely consulted the front desk, not only adjusting the room but adding a free bed to match the last room. When you open the curtains you can see the Baltic Sea in the distance and walk to the beach with all kinds of wild sea birds, ducks and geese. There is also a large area with facilities for children on the beach, suitable for children of all ages. Most notable is the hotel's swimming pool. It should be a training base for various local water sports. During my stay, I met the tall ladies who did aqua aerobics, the kids learned to swim, oxygen tank scuba diving, and individual kayaking. Very interesting!

The location of the hotel on the busy road and next to the building market is not the happiest place to rest, but it does not mean that there are no advantages. Especially in terms of access to the hotel. A few hundred meters from the hotel is located a railway station which makes it very easy to get to Sopot, Gdynia or Gdańska. There is no need to move your own transport and spend money on parking. The hotel itself is a very nice place. Clean and well-served. A delicious and diverse breakfast menu. SPA zone, swimming pools and sauces provide full relaxation during unfavourable atmosphere and evening after daily landscape tours.

Often when you look for a place to stay and go the extra mile to get there, you arrive and think no doubt that this is going to be good. Follow me here. We arrived on our first trip ever together with hopeful expectations. There was a big wedding going on and frankly, the hotel was extremely busy and we felt sidelined as guests. I won't get into details, because I have never experienced a hotel manager on the following day admitting with reconciliation in doing what she could to make our stay a memorable one. A great hotel is one that solves an occasional mishap in the most professional way possible. I wasn't asked twice or cast doubt upon in what I shared and why we felt marginalised. I will not share in detail how we were compensated because that is not the point. Everything otherwise was spot on with this hotel. Spa treatments, rooms, soaps, kitchen (second to none) and a long list of professionalism needs to be included. You are in good hands and the tasting menu at dinner is a culinary journey worth the price tag. Enjoy!

A very good Ibis hotel. More like 4 * not 2*. Super clean, super silent. Comfy, new, clean, modern rooms and bathroom. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows. You can open the window what is a big plus. Reception Staff nice, Mr Sylwester prepared for his shift, open and very friendly! Breakfast of a good quality, too. I fully recommend this hotel to everyone while in Gdańsk.

Sopot nested inbetween Gdansk & Gdynia - the Tri-City is called the Polish Riviera. And rightfully so even in winter. We stayed at the Grand Hotel Sopot. As a high tier member of the All Accor loyalty program, my experiences at various properties have sculpted my expectations towards excellence. The Sofitel Grand Hotel in Sopot, a legendary landmark, unfortunately does not live up to its grandeur in several ways, and leaves room for improvement in others. Positives: - Prime Location: The hotel's location is simply unbeatable, offering easy access to the best of Sopot. Nestled conveniently, it stands as a gateway to the city's charms and fantastic views over the Baltic Sea. Exemplary Staff: True to the Sofitel brand, the staff here are the epitome of politeness and attentiveness. Their care and attention to detail made the stay significantly more comfortable. Sleep Like Royalty: The beds at Sofitel Grand Sopot are a dream. Offering fantastic sleep comfort, they ensured waling up refreshed every morning, ready to explore the city. Architectural and historical Marvel: The hotel itself is a legendary landmark, a piece of history that adds a certain prestige to one's stay. Its majestic facade is a sight to behold. Negatives or room for improvement: Ambiance Misses the Mark: The interior, though taking care in the best fashion possible clean, lacks the coziness and elegance one might expect from such a storied hotel. They don't quite match the luxurious standard set by other 5-star properties, particularly to mention the bathrooms. In conclusion, while the Sofitel Grand Hotel Sopot excels in location, service, and sleep quality, it is somewhat let down by its interior aspects. As a loyal Accor traveler, I see great potential in this property and hope to see it reach its full, undeniable potential in the near future.
