It was a wonderful hotel with a view of the small hills of the Pacific Ocean. I booked a room on the sea side, so the view was amazing. There was a welcome drink service, from soft drinks to self-serve beer, and I gulped down a beer as soon as I arrived. There were also snacks like marshmallows and marble chocolate. I especially enjoyed the salted kempi, a specialty of Takamatsu. There was a wide variety of dishes for dinner, and the bonito tataki was excellent. There was no time limit, so I ate and drank to my heart's content. The best~\(^^)/ I want to stay here again.

Drinks from 15:00-18:00 and 21:00-23:00 are available, and you can drink as much alcohol as you like. The outdoor bath is spacious, and the sauna temperature is also good.

It was clean, well-equipped, and had a good buffet selection, so it was a great place to stay! However, it's a little far from the city center, so it's difficult to get to...

Response from Property: Thank you for using our hotel. We are very happy that you enjoyed the buffet. Our hotel is located in the east of Kochi Prefecture, so it is far from Kochi city. There are no convenience stores within walking distance. Before you arrive, you may find something different from the tourist spots by checking out the local supermarkets. The building was old, but clean. It was a shame that there were no towels in the dressing room.

Response from Property: Thank you for using our hotel. Thank you for sharing your feedback. We cannot deny that it is old. However, our room attendants are making every effort to keep the hotel clean. For now, we ask that you bring towels from your room to use the changing room. We will make this a topic of consideration when reviewing the policy in the future. Mercure Kochi Tosa Resort & Spa

The hot spring is so comfortable. Free snacks and drinks are provided during tea time and evening time. It's a great experience. The hotel is quiet, has a balcony, and can see the sea view. It's super comfortable.

Response from Property: Thank you for your visit. It’s great to know that you’re happy with your experience with the spa and lounge, relieving the fatigue of the trip. The sea view from the hotel is unparalleled beauty. You can enjoy this view from the restaurant on the 13th floor, so make sure to come and enjoy our food on your next visit.

I went to Kochi to swim in the sea. It was good to see other review sites and it was easy to go to the place and time. The people at the front desk who first responded when I came were very polite and nice. When I went to a Japanese restaurant with my family for dinner, I couldn't get in because of the reservation system. ,. I was surprised when I checked the receipt later that the Calpis I ordered for my child, which was about the size of a beer glass, was 600 yen. I thought there was nothing I could do about it since it was also a day trip to the hot spring (°▽°) After that, the mothers who cleaned the hot springs were kind, and the souvenir shop was nice to deal with. Ocean view room It feels old, but both the child and the dad went there wanting to stay one more night.

It was used on a bus tour. I was able to use the National Travel Support and purchased souvenirs with coupons. Our room faced the mountain, but by the time we arrived at the hotel it was already dark and we had to leave at 8am the next morning, so we didn't have time to enjoy the view. The room was a western style room. It was nice because I like Western-style rooms. The room was relatively clean, spacious and relaxing. I was concerned about the steps in the bathroom. The breakfast restaurant opens at 7am, so I expected it to be crowded so I went a little early and waited for it to open. It was as crowded as expected. I secured a seat by the window and enjoyed my meal slowly. It's nice to have a view of the coast. The public bath was a little old and not very good, and the open-air bath was also very average.

The surrounding environment of the hot spring hotel on the mountain is acceptable. This hot spring hotel located on the mountain in Kochi Prefecture is really "out of the way". Apart from the shopping shop attached to the hotel, there are really no living facilities. The lobby is very large and the rooms are not small, but the bathroom is completely disproportionately small. The facilities in the room show traces of time. A hot water kettle is provided, but even basic tea bags are missing. The air conditioner was turned on to the maximum, but there was still no big response. There was a very weak wind, as if there was no air conditioner. The selection of TV channels is pitiful. There are only five Japanese channels. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels. This is the first time I have seen such few TV channels. The restaurant's breakfast and dinner are buffet-style, and guests have almost the same dining time. Therefore, the speed of replenishing dishes seems a bit slow; and it is only halfway through the meal time, and it seems that many plates are no longer replenished.

I stayed here for the second time, having stayed here on a tour about nine years ago. Unfortunately, both times I was in a parking view room. Some people on the same tour have ocean view rooms, so it's a matter of chance. The room is designed like the Daiwa Royal hotels in Japan, with a staircase leading to the second floor in the atrium of the lobby. The room is spacious and comfortable. The only thing provided in the room was a plastic cup, which was not suitable for drinking the shochu and ice purchased at the shop on the first floor, so I called the front desk and they delivered a glass cup right away. Dinner was previously served in the large hall, where a craftsman would demonstrate searing bonito, but this time it was a banquet in a banquet hall, and the content was a bit disappointing. However, the breakfast the next day was filled with many locally produced ingredients, all of which were delicious and very satisfying. Above all, the view from the restaurant on the top floor was amazing.

The entrance hall, the shop, the hot spring, the 36m² twin room with balcony, I was surprised that it was the largest among the other Daiwa Roynet hotels I have stayed at so far! So many tour buses were parked there and the breakfast venue was extremely crowded. But the large open-air rock bath was comfortable, and because it is on high ground, the sea was visible from the breakfast venue window, so I had breakfast in a refreshing mood. In the morning, the staff at the shop apologized to me for the congestion at the cash register (there were three) the previous night, even though it was not their fault, which made me feel warm inside. When I stayed there, the izakaya on the first floor offered a special price for takeout draft beer and sours.

This trip was covered by the National Travel Assistance Program, but this one was not. I had to rebook and the accommodation fee nearly doubled. It's true that the price just went back to the normal price, but I don't know. As they raised the price a lot, it was quite crowded, and I think there were many groups. The breakfast venue was quite crowded. It's old, but it's a resort hotel, so it's spacious. It's on the mountain side, but if you're on the sea side, you should be able to see the Pacific Ocean. The hot spring is a private source, sodium chloride spring. I think it's normally disinfected. Somehow, it didn't feel like a hot spring. No late-night bathing, from 6am. In the morning, there was a line of elderly people who had been waiting for a while. Well, starting at 6am is a bit late. Since it was a breakfast-only plan, we had dinner at the izakaya in the hotel. We expected it to be crowded, so we made a reservation the day before, but it turned out not to be that crowded. It seems that there was a group that arrived by bus late. For breakfast, we had bonito dashi chazuke and a self-made whitebait bowl. These two are the selling points of the breakfast here. It's pretty good. The prepared foods are a bit better than a business hotel buffet.
