Overall the hygiene condition of the room is good, but we found that there were some detergent bubbles remaining in one of the glasses upon our arrival.
The room is spacious and beautiful.
We went for a swim in the early morning at the infinity pool, which is very beautiful, impressive and enjoyable.

Family vacation. The room had a very scenic sea view facing. There was ample space in the room for the kids. Room was clean and top class amenities were provided. Overall very happy and had an enjoyable 2 nights stay.

My last stay at Ascott Gurney Penang was in Oct 2024. I travelled with a girlfriend and it was my first time staying. The experience was fantastic (the room view, the service provided, the cleanliness of the room, the pool and gym facilities etc) thus, this time I brought back my family and my in-laws to stay again (3 rooms).
Was slightly disappointed this time.
1. The rooms assigned this time were not great, all low floors and the views were restricted (my last stay the room view was superb!)
2. There were lots of birds in the swimming pool area and I think the hotel should do something about it. There were droppings on the floor around the pool and after swimming for a short while, I felt uncomfortable as I could see something floating in the pool as well so I left….
3. On the 2nd day morning, servicing staff promptly made up my room but not on the 3nd day morning. I was out between 10am to 1pm and was surprised to see that the room was not cleaned. I had to personally go down to the front desk to make the request to clean up…
But overall, the service was still good, staff were courteous and helpful in general.
I recommended Ascott Gurney to my husband this time, but he was quite disappointed with Ascott Gurney Penang, especially with reasons listed above and still prefer The George Penang where we stayed in end 2023 instead.

Excellent overall!First of all,the room is very spacious with sea view and there are two water taps. everything needed is provided!!
Secondly,the air conditioner is very good and there is nothing to complain for the bathroom which the water pressure is pretty good.
Thirdly, the facility is decent,the only thing that could be improved is the air conditioner of the gym room. The breakfast is good at last!! This is an excellent experience with reasonable price,will definitely come back again!!

Lowkey the best hotel in gurney! Spacious room, easy checkin n checkout process and good services. This is my second time here and definitely not the last. Walking distance to all the malls and food places.

Lovely and exceptional hotel. Great view of the sea. Very comfortable and clean room with 30 tv channels. Has a kitchenette with microwave oven n fridge. Great pool for kids. Will be coming back again with the family!

Travel with big huge family members.
Room is big. Nice floor for swimming pool n gym.
Love it.
Hotel lobby is nice with bar attachable.
Opposite is garden n alot of facilities for children to play around.
Walking distance to mall n gurney fodd court.
Next to hotel can easily get beers n snacks.
