Close to Ghent Railway Station, tram, Flibco and bus stops, about20-30min feet from Ghent's famous attractions. Although the hotel is small, the room is very large, with large glass windows, well-equipped, daily cleaning service, and free glass bottled drinking water (above the small table in the picture). Luggage storage. The most surprising thing is the breakfast (buffet), very diversified and very delicious, cost-effective, the most ideal is to leave some time to taste slowly, breakfast is the most satisfying trip.

Location very central, if there is no construction site in front of the door and considerate guests are around one in the rooms, it is certainly also quiet. The bathroom was very narrow in the double room. Otherwise, everything is fine!

The hotel is in a good location. You can go shopping when you go out. It is quite lively. It is also close to the attractions, and it takes 10 minutes to walk. The sanitation is very clean. As soon as you enter the door, you feel that everything is clean. The room is of moderate size. The bathroom is quite simple. There is no kettle. If you want to drink water, you have to go to the water dispenser in the lobby or buy it yourself. The surrounding area is very quiet at night. The window of the room you live in is not across the street, so it will not be noisy. The whole city of Ghent does not feel that noisy, but very comfortable. The breakfast is simple but enough. When you go out to play, you can store your luggage in a special luggage storage cabinet. The fee is based on the size of the luggage and the storage time. I didn't choose carefully, and ended up storing an extra-large cabinet for my small suitcase. . I feel sorry for the money. I am very satisfied with the hotel as a whole. It is very suitable for me to stay when I travel to Ghent without much money!

a rather old hotel. the door locks are the round shaped ones. the hot water supply of the shower was not quite steady. the room is quite small for europe i think.
the plus side is they gave us the room well before the official check in time. we arrived at around 10:30 and they gave us the room right away. there is a free breakfast buffet as well (even my room choice is the most basic one).

Absolutely Incredible I just can't deny I suppose to stay just 1 day, but the receptionist from Tunisia is SO KIND , INCREDIBLE HUMAN, she talk to me saying MY NAME I have been in MORE THAN 28 countries a lot of 5 stars hotels , NEVER EVER anyone calling MY NAME !!! She make me feel so important for that reason I paid 3 more days !

We chose Getaway because it allows bicycles in the rooms and we were on a cycling holiday around Flanders. You can't check in before 3pm as the property is locked remotely, which was fine, we found a bar to spend some time :) There were three of us staying in a Deluxe Business Studio, we'd thought one of the beds would be on a mezzanine level, it wasn't. Not sure if we messed up or the photo was a little confusing. It's an old building and windows are set quite high in the room. There was a small kitchenette that we didn't use. Location is great but we felt it was a little over priced. No real complaints though. Lobby is very handsome.

3) Inside the room, everything is clean enough. It is not noisy at night. The most impressive is that they have different cooking equipment in the room such as pans, microwave, electric stoves and other bowls and dishes so that we can cook.
4) The location is not far: 5 min walk from Gent Dampoort and 15 min walk to town.

The room is spacious and comfortable, a little far from the city center.
I felt that the cleaning was not done very carefully: there was dust in the corners and the cabinets next to the sink. But this is because I have mysophobia, so according to ordinary people’s standards, I should be able to pass!
Breakfast is delicious for children, including fruits and cereals.
Overall, I loved this stay.

CCurious TravellerThe hotel is in a historic building and centrally located in Ghent. It is walkable to all major sightseeing destinations.
Our room has a beautiful view of St Nicholas Church, and the square in front.
The room was quite stylishly decorated with high ceiling but the. Shower and wash basin are on the upper level. Maybe inconvenient for some people. At least the toilet is on the same level as the entrance. My room was a bit small, only suitable to have two cabin size luggage opened at the same time.
Overall it is a lovely hotel and really added to our two days stay in Ghent.

It's one of the best hotels I've been to! It was my second time in Yalo and it's always a pleasure. If you go to Ghent this is the place to stay! The design is amazing and the staff is very helpful. The bedrooms are very different and with all the amenities you need to have an amazing stay, but better than that, they've turntables with Bluetooth so you can play your music. The rooftop is incredible ! Not to mention the bed... it seems like you're sleeping in a cloud!

Kitchen appliances are available and you can do it yourself. Stayed for two nights and returned to the second day, and the other few did not care about us. I stayed for a night as part of a business trip, primarily being attracted to the hot l because of the indoor swimming pool. The hotel was lovely, in a really nice area and had a really welcoming, relaxed feel. Check in was good and the receptionist really helpful, there was a small bar and we sat in the terrace with our drinks which was really pleasant. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was great we made Bacon sandwiches which were really nice. I also used the pool for an early morning swim. The pool is small, but you can reserve it for your private use which is great. There is also a sauna. Overall this is a fantastic, privately owned, very reasonably priced boutique hotel with a lovely feel. I would recommend to anyone visiting Ghent and would love to stay again.

GGuest UserThe location is really great for a city trip and the rooms are spacious with nice views. However, it seems like they weren’t maintained or restored for years. Furniture and carpets look old, dirty (stained) and frankly disgusting. From what we understand the rooms in the executive area are in better shape but we were on the third floor and everything looked dirty and old. During breakfast we noted that most dishes weren’t properly cleaned and still had stains from other meals. The buffet had nice pastries but everything else wasn’t enjoyable (juices and eggs were not fresh etc.). Considering that breakfast wasn’t included in the room and quite costly we were very disappointed by the low quality of the food. The hotel seems to be focusing on business travelers where companies pay in advance for big groups, so the small bar was very crowded before dinner time. On the positive side, the hotel seemed quiet for being so central and there wasn’t much noise from other rooms either.

GGuest UserA very disappointing stay at Novotel Centrum. Pros - Location. You can't get a better location. Close to everything including lots of eateries at your doorstep. Cons: Customer service - the customer service was the worst I've experienced in a long time. The staff were disinterested and rude. We checked in and I came down to advise that there were no baby beds in the room even though we had requested them well in advance and in all correspondence with the hotel before arriving. I was greeted with 'Hi, are you checking in' by the same person who checked me in no more than five minutes earlier. I would have accepted this but it happened again the next time I approached the reception desk. It was not a busy period for the hotel. I was rudely told off for asking again when I came downstairs to double check a second baby bed was indeed coming as only one had been delivered to the room in the time between first enquiring. I also made another enquiry during our stay and the staff member said they would provide me the answer but never got back to me. Room The room itself was dark and very old. I didn't want to spend any time in there. The rooms haven't been updated for a very long time and due to this the room felt dusty and not very clean. When the baby beds did arrive, one was in good condition and the other was in a terrible state. The material keeping the bed together was ripped in a number of places and the mattress itself was basically split in half due to being folded up so many times. I understand that baby beds are complementary, but this was not acceptable. When the rooms were cleaned, they only did a very surface level clean. Things weren't replaced and not all the rubbish was collected. Amenities We paid for breakfast and there were enough options. The bar had a good selection of Belgium beers on offer. There is a swimming pool outside that looks maintained but there is no safety fence around it so if you're outside in the bar area or in fact anywhere in the entrance area of the hotel you have to watch your children as they may accidentally walk into the pool.

GGuest UserWith the factual remaining: Positive points: the reception (hearing and reactive staff), location near the public transportation and 15 minutes walk from the centre of GAND, charming spaces on the foothill, The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. Rooms with very tired furniture, broken cordage that seemed not very clean and littered not very comfortable without talking about earrings. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. In short, the potential is there, but mostly because of the lack of financial resources, rooms and bathrooms (at least both we have tested) would urgently need refreshment or even more. CONCLUSION: cher for the quality of the room although the location is charming, staff with breakfast and a great breakfast in terms of diversity.

A little disappointed with the decor, quite run down and desperate for a refurbishment staff on the other hand were excellent and very attentive. Unfortunately being of low cost, attracts some of the wrong sort of clientele, too! We suffered with noisy people partying until 2am when we finally decided enough was enough and tried ringing reception, phone didn’t work, so personal visit to reception sorted the issue. Non-smoking rooms, stunk of smoke. Otherwise clean and reasonable beds. Breakfast was ok.
