Hampton by Hilton Hotels in Haikou

This is a relatively new hotel that was opened in 2024, located near Qilou Old Street (10 mins away by car). Overall, our stay was quite pleasant. Pros: 1. The room is modern and big enough to put 1 big luggage on the floor and 1 medium size luggage. The bed is comfy with 1 memory pillow and 1 soft pillow. The toilet and shower are separated, which is good. The curtain has cool features (at the push of a button, it will close the curtains automatically). 2. The front desk staff are friendly. The housekeeper is good at helping clean our room and friendly too. 3. Breakfast has a good spread with Chinese and Western food options. Cons: 1. Location – the hotel is situated at the entrance of the flyovers and a turn to another main road, so most Didi drivers would often miss the turn up to drop off point in front of the hotel and just stop at the roadside (on the pathway with lots of motorbikes which is dangerous) to fetch us. I would suggest the hotel put up a lited signboard just before the entrance to the hotel to help direct taxi drivers to come up to the front door. 2. Air conditioning does not seem to work. I have set the temperature to cool or windy mode at 20 deg but still, it felt hot. 3. We did not realize that the window was opened by the staff, and only noticed when we were woken up by the drilling noise from construction nearby.

Requested for pool view during booking but given non pool viewing side. Was told level 7 is non smoking floor but smoke flood the whole floor. There is no booking of taxi from the reception counter and have to walk about 150m to the main road to flag for taxi with full of luggage. In general, hotel is clean and breakfast is OK. Location is about 2 km from high speed rail station. About 1 km away from newly open Paradise Walk. Super big shopping mall with Wang Hao Supermarket. Lots of F&B outlets at L3 & L4 and price is reasonable. .

They provided me with detailed information about the hotel facilities, nearby attractions, and even recommended some must-visit places in Haikou. Throughout my stay, the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met, making me feel valued as a guest. The rooms at the Hampton by Hilton were modern, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. My room was meticulously clean, with comfortable bedding and a well-appointed bathroom. The inclusion of amenities such as a flat-screen TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a coffee maker added an extra layer of convenience and comfort to my stay. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail and the well-thought-out layout of the room, which made it easy to relax after a day of exploring. Breakfast at the hotel was a delightful experience. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, including both Western and Chinese dishes, ensuring there was something to suit every palate.
