Four Points Flex by Sheraton Hakodate Station ★★★
"The location is fantastic, with plenty of delicious local eateries right downstairs, perfect for experiencing Hakodate's unique charm. It's super close to the station, less than a 10-minute walk, and the tram and bus stops are right outside the building, which is incredibly convenient. Plus, the view from the hotel window is beautiful."
Jr Inn Hakodate ★★★
This premium hotel offers unparalleled transport links and a high-quality night's sleep. Guests can enjoy a unique pillow gallery, a large public bath, and panoramic views of Hakodate.
Hotel Brs Hakodate Goryokaku Tower Mae ★★
"The breakfast was made with carefully selected ingredients and the coffee was local and I could feel the love. It was a simple hotel, but it was good enough for a room just to stay overnight. I was surprised at how cheap it was."
HOTEL MYSTAYS Hakodate Ekimae (Old:Flexstay Inn Hakodate Ekimae ) ★★★
Enjoy a convenient stay directly opposite Hakodate Station. This hotel offers modern, functional rooms, self-service amenities, and easy access to the morning market.
La'Gent Stay Hakodate Ekimae ★★★★
"The location is super convenient, Tanukikoji is right next door, and there are so many great food options nearby! 👍"
A-Gate Hotel Hakodate ★★★
"Cute stay and was very functional. Had everything i needed for one night."
HOTEL GLOBAL VIEW HAKODATE ★★★★
"The king-size room was incredibly tiny. With the bed in place, there was hardly any room for luggage; I had to put my suitcase on the narrow table by the window, otherwise, I couldn't even walk around. The staff was quite cold; when I tried to ask about the laundry room, before I could even finish my sentence, he quickly waved his hand and said it wasn't his responsibility. Breakfast was good, with the Japanese options being much richer than the Western ones."
Hotel Enoe Hakodate ★★★★
"Very cosy and clean hotel with free flow drinks, definitely worth the price in Hakodate"
PREMIER HOTEL CABIN PRESIDENT HAKODATE ★★★★
If you’re heading to Hakodate, this is the spot. It’s literally steps from the train station, making your arrival effortless. The views from the rooftop bar are absolutely unbeatable at night!

Heiseikan Shiosaitei
Treat yourself to a private open-air hot spring on your own balcony, where you can soak in warm water while watching the vast sea horizon.
Yunohama Hotel
"This is the hotel we changed from the chain hotel at the station. Because there is a hot spring here. It is only one stop from the airport to the hotel, and even if you take a taxi, it is only 50 RMB. There is a very convenient bus stop at the door of the hotel, and it takes about 30 minutes to get to the city. The hotel's breakfast is very rich and you can eat it every day. The hot spring service is also quite commendable. I highly recommend it. If you go with a family, book a room by the sea. In fact, it is very cost-effective. One room can accommodate 4~5 people, and then looking at the seaside is very good."
Yunokawa Prince Hotel Nagisatei
Located right on the edge of the ocean, this resort offers a refreshing coastal breeze and easy access to the sandy beach for a relaxing evening stroll.

La Vista Hakodate Bay
Relax in a natural hot spring on the top floor, where you can soak in a wooden tub while enjoying a stunning night view of the harbour.
Yunokawa Kanko Hotel Shoen
"I stayed in a room with an open-air bath. It was a nice, quiet room where I could relax. The open-air bath was also excellent, so I was very satisfied. The only disappointment was that the dinner buffet, although divided into time slots, did not limit the number of people allowed in the venue. The dishes and food were not ready in time, and the food was almost gone, so it was hard to tell what was being served. It was not something that satisfied the guests."
Hakodate Hotel Banso
"Pics, pics, pics! (I've included photos) The food was quite fresh, and the hot spring environment was decent enough. However, the room window didn't block out the light. It felt like the hotel might be discriminating against Chinese people. The convenience store-like shop on the ground floor accepted Alipay in the afternoon, but when I went to buy drinks in the evening, I was told Alipay wasn't accepted. Most importantly, I felt ripped off. This is the first time I've encountered this in Japan – it wouldn't surprise me in Thailand or Malaysia. I had prepaid 41,500 JPY, which was supposed to cover everything except the accommodation tax. The accommodation tax was only 800 JPY, which I expected to pay separately upon arrival. However, the vendor charged me 45,500 JPY. No matter how I tried to communicate, it was useless; they told me to contact the booking platform. Finally, at check-out, they charged me another 2,150 JPY. I can only say that Ctrip was somewhat reliable as they refunded me 230 RMB."

Toyoko Inn Hokkaido Hakodate Ekimae Asaichi
"Hotel is very close to the bus station and next to Lawson. Check in was very smooth and staff are always friendly and professional. Breakfast was lovely and included many dishes. The room was very comfortable and towels were provided every day. There’s also a laundry facility on the premises. Highly recommended I’m sad to leave this awesome hotel."
Smile Hotel Premium Hakodate Goryokaku
"Nice and clean hotel within convenient driving distance to many attractions in hakodate. Reasonable price point."
Hakodate Yunokawa Onsen Umi to Akari/Hewitt Resort
"The room was quite clean and tidy. They also offer hot spring services, and the front desk staff provided excellent service in Chinese."
Imagine Hotel & Resort
Forget your worries at this modern seaside resort, featuring spacious rooms and large windows that let in plenty of natural light and the beautiful blue sea.
Seaside Hotel Kamome
"Hokkaido is a very unique city, and this is a very cost-effective hotel. Outside the window is the Sea of Japan, and you can see many seagulls. The house is not too small, has all the facilities, and is very comfortable for one person to live in."
Heiseikan Shiosaitei Hanatsuki
"The price/performance ratio is average. The location is very close to Hakodate Airport. The taxi ride to the city center is about 2,000 yen. The second-floor windows are soundproofed, and the view depends entirely on the weather."
