"The room is super small, but ok if stay for one night"
Smile Hotel Premium Hakodate Goryokaku
"Accessible combinis and mall/food store around the area! Do note though they only have 1 kind of pillow and it was VERY uncomfortable for me for I got stiff neck till the point I couldnt turn to either sides and friend had to pull me up. Would recommend sleeping without their pillow to be safer."
Hakodate Danshaku Club Hotel & Resorts
"Nice hotel, the room is spacious"
LC Goryokaku Hotel
"Walking distance to all the attractions. Accessible by bus right from Hakodate station. Stayed in the annex building but had enough amenities for guests. Free self-laundry. Simple and tasty, nutritious breakfast. Would go back there again."
HOTEL GLOBAL VIEW HAKODATE
"Staff speak limited English, we went through some issues with our booking and seems like only one front desk staff can speak English but he was not very helpful and it took a long time to wait for them to communicate then get back to us with nothing, we are very disappointed with the service. There was also one rude female staff at the restaurant and apparently doesn’t speak English, we tried to give her the wrong breakfast tickets and she rudely shaked her hands and slapped our tickets to have us go away until we found the right tickets. Staff here not particularly nice and friendly here especially at the restaurant like they are so done with servicing guests except there’s one very helpful auntie at the coin laundry. The room from the premium tower is spacious but not as clean as we would expect, counter tops are dusty, bathroom floor moldy and blanket is quite old. They only have toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and bath gel in the room. The location is not close to the Hakodate JR station but if you are driving, they have plenty of outdoor parking space close by. Breakfast is great, a lot of selections and food was fresh. However, they gave out allocated timed breakfast tickets however the Japanese buffet was so popular you still need to queue despite the tickets."
Jr Inn Hakodate

Hotel Enoe Hakodate
"Hotel Enoe is a distance away from the station (need to take the tram), but close to the Bay Area where most of the things to see in Hakodate are located. Walkable to the red brick warehouses, churches and the mountain cable car station. Really liked how clean and huge the room was, with an open lounge with free alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks as well."

You’ll love the vibe here—it’s so close to the Morning Market! Definitely head to the top floor for coffee; the view of the bay is incredible.
Route Inn Grantia Hakodate Ekimae
"It’s just next to JR Hakodate station, bus terminus is just in front of the hotel and the city tram stop is within 5 mins walking distance. The morning fish market is just nearby across the road from JR Hakodate station. The buffet breakfast is good with a wide variety including frozen grapes, frozen berries etc. Also, the Hakodate Tourist Information Center is located within JR Hakodate Station. I made full use of my 2D 1N stay in Hakodate by purchasing the “Hakodate Special Ticket 2025”(はこだてスペシャルチケット2025) from the Tourist Information Center. The ticket includes "Transportation Ticket" City Tram 1-Day Pass + "12-Points Ticket" (1 point = ¥250) and covers admission fees to Goryokaku Tower, Old Public Hall of Hakodate Ward and Mt. Hakodate Ropeway (two-way)."

"Friendly staff and nice place, also have the bike rental service, great!"
Hakodate Yunokawa Onsen Umi to Akari/Hewitt Resort
"Room is a bit small. Location is closed to the airport but far from the city. The best of this hotel is food. If you stay here please don’t forget to book your dinner."
