The hot spring service is also quite commendable. I highly recommend it. If you go with a family, book a room by the sea. In fact, it is very cost-effective. "Used this place for my trip to Hakodate! The 100 yen per use parking was a nice touch! I stayed in a dormitory room, and it was surprisingly spacious with lockers, towels, and even a TV – definitely a Japanese touch. There's also a supermarket within walking distance. I even found two yakitori places open until late! As a night owl, the only downside was the bath closing at 10 PM. On the bright side, you can start using the bath from 6 AM!"

I checked out early the next morning and left my luggage, but after a while I realized I had forgotten a bottle of drink in the refrigerator. I called the front desk and they promised to give it to me when I came to pick up my luggage, but they never did. I didn't say anything because I was running out of time for my airport bus and would have missed it if they had checked on me, but even though the price was cheap, the smell of cigarette smoke made it feel expensive. I don't think I'll ever stay there again, but smokers probably won't mind."
