"Used this place for my trip to Hakodate! The 100 yen per use parking was a nice touch! I stayed in a dormitory room, and it was surprisingly spacious with lockers, towels, and even a TV – definitely a Japanese touch. There's also a supermarket within walking distance. I even found two yakitori places open until late! As a night owl, the only downside was the bath closing at 10 PM. On the bright side, you can start using the bath from 6 AM!"

"The room was spacious, as is typical of hotels in Hokkaido, even for a single room, but the smell of cigarette smoke permeated the elevator and even the changing room of the public bath, which was awful. I checked out early the next morning and left my luggage, but after a while I realized I had forgotten a bottle of drink in the refrigerator. I called the front desk and they promised to give it to me when I came to pick up my luggage, but they never did. I didn't say anything because I was running out of time for my airport bus and would have missed it if they had checked on me, but even though the price was cheap, the smell of cigarette smoke made it feel expensive. I don't think I'll ever stay there again, but smokers probably won't mind."

PREMIER HOTEL CABIN PRESIDENT HAKODATE ★★★★
"This hotel was the most satisfying stay of our Hokkaido trip. Its location is excellent, very close to the JR station, making it convenient for both buses and trams. We booked a top-floor room, which grants access to a lounge on the same floor offering drinks, alcohol, and snacks. The only downside is that the lounge is quite small and lacks windows. The room itself is spacious and clean, with a window directly overlooking the plaza in front of the JR station. Breakfast was absolutely delightful! You can make your own seafood bowl with unlimited sweet shrimp. They even offer ice cream and sparkling wine. On the first floor, the hotel provides a wide variety of complimentary amenities, including sunscreen and shoe deodorizers. The back exit of the hotel faces the World's Best Pot (世一壶), and just a short walk away are the Hakodate Morning Market and Lucky Pierrot Burger."

"The dinner service was good. The room is clean but very old. When we checked in they were going to give us a room without hot water. They told us to use the hot water in the spa area"

Jr Inn Hakodate ★★★
"I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is perfect, being conveniently situated right within the JR station. The room was spacious and offered a great view, and the public bath was a lovely way to relax. I also appreciated the unique "pillow corner" where you can choose your preferred pillow for a better night's sleep. One helpful tip for future guests: if you have any requests or queries, it is much easier to go to the front desk in person. The staff are wonderful, but most do not speak English, which can make it difficult to communicate effectively over the hotel phone."

"After 10 stops in Japan I can say Tokyu Stay is my favorite hotel chain. In-room laundry is so nice for long term travel and they always provide the quintessential hotel amenities. No fancy design gimmicks, just everything you need. Location was great a few blocks from Hakodate station and the harbor. Excellent views from the rooftop lounge."

Hotel Enoe Hakodate ★★★★
"We loved our stay at Hotel Enoe Hakodate. The hotel is conveniently located for local things to do, including climbing Mt Hakodate, taking the cable car, visiting a local onsen, visiting the red brick warehouses and running along the water. There are also lots of lovely coffee shops, shops selling products by local artisans and bars nearby. The all you can eat breakfast was a highlight - everything was super fresh and tasty! It's a 20min walk to Hakodate Staation and the bulk of restaurants, but we enjoyed the walk."
