Modern Japanese-Style Twin Room With Hiroen Space & Desk (Tsuki-Kanmuri Type)
We stayed two days. When we first arrived, the weather was beautiful, so we took some photos and walked around outdoors. By the time we left, it was snowing! What a blessing! The snowy scenery was stunning!
There are three hot springs available (Mori-no-yu, Yama-no-yu, and Kawano-yu), and the outdoor ones are fantastic!

This is the view from the room. It was spectacular and I would like to see it in winter too.

It was a wonderful inn with great hospitality right from the moment we were picked up. Although it was a large building, our room was located in a single elevator away from the hot springs, dining area, and lobby, making it very convenient to move around the building.
The room was clean.
I would have liked some socks to wear after taking a bath as an amenity.
Also, there was no mat in the bath area, so it felt a bit dirty.
I thought it was great that they were supporting the Noto Peninsula earthquake victims.

The service attitude is highly positive, and I am happy to stay. The food and beverages in the welcome area are rich to meet the needs of every family member. The rear garden is a little surprise for us to take beautiful photos!

We booked online and travelled to Hanamaki by train . We were picked up at the station by the Onsens bus , it is then about a 35 minute ride through the lovely countryside up into the mountains. Greeted warmly by all the staff and booking in went smoothly. Our spacious room was on the 2nd. Floor, it had a lovely view out over the sloping gardens and river, Reception is on the 4th. floor and the hot spring baths are on the basement floor . There is a nice 40 minute walking track around the resort that we did before having a bath, they gave us a walking stick each with little bells on it to keep the bears away, it is a lovely walk through nice garden and forest areas, plenty of good photo opportunities. The hot baths were very good, water temperature was between 40 to 42 degrees, very relaxing , there is everything you need at the baths, like body soap, shampoo, conditioner.hair brush and combs, hairdryer. As per normal they provide the yukata’s to wear to the baths and around the hotel for meals etc . They gave us a sparkling wine welcome drink and there were free icypoles anytime you wanted down in the nice lounge near reception. There is a gift shop there as well . Dinner was partly on the table set out for you then you just partook of a great smorgasboard spread , plenty of variety, scrumptious. Breakfast was a smorgasboard, again very very good The resort bus took us back to Hanamaki station at 9 am. Next morning after five staff members came out and gave us a rousing goodbye, A fabulous stay , we should have been staying longer, Highly recommended.
The service before the stay was so bad that I had to cancel with tears in my eyes (;;) The replies from the person in charge during the email exchange were full of sarcasm, which was disappointing... I ended up staying at a different inn that I usually stay at. The choice of words you use should be limited to those that everyone uses, otherwise it will show your dignity.

Inspired by Otani fever, I made a trip to Hanamaki for the first time in 10 years. Hanamaki is famous for its hot springs, but this time I visited Hanamaki Minami Onsenkyo. I stayed at Airinkan. As I headed west along the valley rich in nature, I could see glimpses of snow and the scenery suddenly became deeper in the mountains. It was nice that there was a free shuttle bus from both Hanamaki Station and Shin-Hanamaki Station. This is good news for drinkers. The capacity of the inn was quite large and there were quite a few guests staying there. Both meals were buffet style, but there was a wide selection and I was very satisfied. It was also nice to be able to eat in a semi-private room. Of course, the bath was good. Prices fluctuate like airfare, so it's better to book early. I would like to use their services again when I visit Hanamaki.

Response from Property: Thank you very much for your review and rating. We are grateful that you chose our inn from among the many hot spring inns available. Our semi-private Satoyama Dining room is based on the concept of a Satoyama festival, and we aim to use local and seasonal ingredients in our dishes. You can enjoy bathing in the various baths of our three large baths in a variety of positions, including an open-air standing bath, a waist bath, and a reclining bath. All of our staff will work together to provide the best hospitality possible, so that you will continue to patronize us as a Satoyama inn that you will want to visit again and again. Thank you very much for your valuable opinions, impressions, and rating. We look forward to welcoming you again. ~ A Satoyama inn that you will want to visit again and again ~ [Shinzu Onsen Musubi no Yado Airinkan] President's Office Director Harada

This is my second stay at this hotel, having stayed here a few years ago. It seems to have been renovated here and there, and the bed is fluffy and comfortable! The hot spring was also pleasant and I was generally satisfied! However, the dinner buffet does not have Japanese food such as sashimi or sushi, so older guests may feel a little unsatisfied. The steak meat is small, and there are many similar meat dishes such as stew and braised pork, so it seems lacking in variety! I felt that the menu could be improved a little. The breakfast buffet would be better if it had a highlight dish that is more typical of a hot spring inn than the standard menu of a business hotel.

When I was sleeping in the guest room, I could hear the door opening and closing so loud that I couldn't sleep. It's family friendly. A good hotel if you are traveling with children. Not for adults. Dinner was good.

1) Good points ①The sashimi is fresh and sweet. The tempura is crispy. I think it's the best compared to other facilities. ②The staff in the lounge and shop are very friendly. ③You can see local ingredients such as pickles and shiso rolls. It's delicious. ④There are a lot of local souvenirs, which is nice. 2) Bad points ①Unfair plan settings It says that the dinner venue selection plan (basic Japanese set meal), which is cheaper than Kamado Dining, may be changed to Kamado Dining. From the inn's point of view, this is probably a measure to avoid waste, but from the guest's point of view, it is hard to accept that the content is the same as that of guests with cheaper plans, even though they are paying a high price to differentiate the meal content. Apart from the delivery to the room, I think it would be fair if Kamado Dining and the Japanese set meal were clearly distinguished, or dinner and breakfast were all served in the same venue and everyone had a buffet or half buffet like Shidotaira. The food is in a stone oven, but I don't really understand the need for a stone oven. It just felt a little difficult to eat the food. 2. Disappointing soft drinks that require a fee Soft drinks are charged in the dining area. This is the only hotel or inn of a similar nature in the prefecture that I have stayed at that does not do this. I think it would be fine to charge for alcoholic drinks and fresh juices and other high-value added items, but at the very least it would be nice if the free drinks at breakfast and in the lounge were free. If you register on LINE you get a second soft drink for free, but the fact that you have to pay for the first one is a bit disappointing. I think they are trying hard with the food, but it feels like a huge drag. 3. There are no hand towels in the toilet. 4. The towel rack is at the foot of the sink. It doesn't look clean. A towel rack would be nice. 5. The indoor bath at Kawa no Yu is disappointing. It doesn't look as vibrant as it appears on their website. The windows are covered in green moss and dirt, which creates a huge contrast. ⑥ Guests who monopolize the ceramic bath and guests who don't pour the water over themselves. Although it's not the inn's fault, there are guests who monopolize the single-person ceramic bath for long periods of time, and guests who bathe without pouring the water over themselves. Guests who enter the bath without bringing a towel and get out without drying themselves off. Please post notices and enlightenment about proper bathing etiquette. I think it's good that they're particular about the local area, but I wish they would be fair from the guest's point of view. It may be unnecessary, but if they're going to serve French toast, I'd like them to make Platinum Pork tonkatsu sandwiches.
