Impeccable location for Hangzhou! My soul got soothed upon arriving the resort, a stark contrast from the hassles elsewhere in the West Lake area. Great getaway for those who are interested in experiencing cultured lifestyle and who love traditional Chinese culture. Was amazing to join the monk-led chants of Yongfu Temple early in the morning and enjoy Amanfayun’s tea gardens.

This hotel is next to Lingyin temple and it is a good location for you to walk and visit Lingyin temple.

Aman is peace. Though each Aman gives different experience Aman Fayun has great energy and heritage to it. The local villagers especially Mr Xie and a few others are super sweet. The other staffs are nice and sweet though I could apply higher standard I do see the effort and appreciate. Spa is super more cultural activities and experiences could be added

As expected they provide top rated services and was helpful and kept it blissful throughout especially in a busy tourist city like Hangzhou Bonus if you like cats

From checkin to till checkout, everything was fantastic! Hotel contacted me when I booked the room. They asked us our preferences for all the logistics. When we arrived the hotel management including GM welcomed us and Nancy from guest relations, she is brilliant! She helped us everything during our stay. Booked spa, restaurants, guide tour to temple.. Our room was very special, decoration, ambience, towels, bed linens, pillows all are so nice, comfortable! All the hotel staff are very helpful and smiley all the time. You must try SPA ! We tried Vegetarian restaurant and Steam House. Both are great! All in all fantastic experience and another proof that you can not go wrong with Aman group

Aman in Hangzhou is the perfect staycation destination. The environment is calming and beautiful, relaxing and natural. The staff and service at Amanfayun is probably the best second only to the hotel grounds itself. The room was beautiful and had probably the best sleep I’ve had in a long time as the room becomes completely pitch black and the bed is super comfortable. The spa was unreal, with an ensuite for every service (1 or 2 people). The spa is located next to the pool which had to be my favorite thing about staying there - the afternoon tea by the pool was amazing, delicious, and so cute. It wasn’t hard to feel comfortable or communicate because the majority of staff speaks English. The hotel has 6 places to eat, but I will say as someone who doesn’t eat meat it was a little hard to find options at the hotel but super easy to order food in! If you do eat meat, no problem, there are many options. Definitely recommend Amanfayun to anyone but especially anyone looking for a weekend away with family, a friend, or a loved one. Thanks Aman!

The service quality need more improvements. The hotel is under traffic control during weekend. The hotel suggested guests to arrive by bus. The bus was hard to get in. There is no television in the room. Its okay. There is no coffee machine. It was not very convenient.

Wonderful experience at Amanfayun. Service are top notch. Restaurant on site are delicious. A very unique and charming place that I didn’t want to leave, will be back again.

Finally checked in at Amanfayun, which opened in 2010 and was renovated in 2016. Maybe I had too high expectations, so I was disappointed. The deluxe village suite is really a village house. The road to the entrance is paved with stones, which is bumpy and easy to sprain your ankle. There are no street lights at night, so you can only use a flashlight to illuminate. The lights in the room are also dim. There is no sunlight in the daytime. I thought it was a large flat, but I didn’t expect to climb stairs. There is no bathroom in the living room downstairs. There is only one toilet in such a large room. I have to climb stairs to the bedroom every time. The toilet in the bedroom is not smart and looks like a children's toilet. The lights in the room need to be turned off one by one. There is a window in the bedroom without curtains and light blocking, which is on early in the morning. The hot water in the room has to wait at least three minutes to heat up. I almost called for repairs. I can only say that it really restores the village house. If you want to spend money to suffer, you can try it. The hotel facilities of Aman Yangyun in Shanghai and Aman Dayan in Lijiang are better than those of Fayun in Hangzhou. Fayun has a good location, close to the Feilai Peak Scenic Area, with Yongfu Temple and Lingyin Temple just outside, and five other temples around it.

Amanfayun is not just a hotel where you can stay, but it seems to be a place that contains more than just philosophical meanings such as traditional values ​​and reflections. Amanfayun is a place where the lives of the residents who lived around the green tea fields are well-integrated, more than any other Aman, and the atmosphere of tradition and modernity are well-blended. I was impressed by the staff who welcomed me from the entrance, the staff standing all over the Payun Pass, and the way they tried to help me with even small questions. Steamhouse offers traditional Hangzhou food and vegetarian menus, so it is also good for vegetarians to choose from. There is a staff member who speaks Korean well, so it was not difficult to choose from the menu!
