There was no staff at reception, a notice said come into the restaurant if there is no one on reception. Upon finding the manager in the restaurant he immediately told me they are closed. I told him I only wanted to check in, to which he replied rather rudely I'm comming! There was no toilet paper in the toilet and the room was dusty. Evening meal was slow comming and unacceptable quality, there was only a few people dining so I don't know what the delay was.

This trip to the hotel was the worst we have experienced at this particular hotel, which we have stayed at several times previously. We had booked for breakfast only but usually stay in the hotel for our evening meal but on arrival we were told that we could not have a meal in the restaurant as they did not have enough staff luckily we managed to get into the Italian restaurant across the road and arranged to have a meal at the Kestrel on the following evening. This not the usual service we have come to expect from Premier Inn.

Restaurant refused to serve us on Friday evening and was then closed on Sunday evening. No hot water from bathroom sink tap. The Building looked tired and the staff seemed dispirited and un-interested. I have used this hotel before and was satisfied, but I won't use this hotel again.

And walked away befor we had a change to ask about missing plus items. Late went back to reception agian to be told oh run out just log a complaint. Realy not the service I'm used to . The on site pub has closed to public the whole place is tired, dirty and looks as if it on the edge of being closed down . Spare pillow in room had no covers Black mould on serval celling tiles Blood in the shower and a strong smell of **** on the landing

When we arrived we wondered if it was trading. Outside was shabby with weeds and debris lying around. We often stay in premier inns and find them excellent. Inside was no better.Dead plants and no tourist information. Room was ok but the corridor leading to it had a bucket catching drips from the ceiling. We were on a meal deal. Dinner was a disaster. The waitress arrived with our main courses and apologised that chef had forgotten the starters. It seemed that the hotel was being run by a manager & his (capable) assistant and for all I know they were doing the cooking as well as they disappeared for long periods of time. Breakfast was similarly short staffed. Uniforms were either on existent or shabby and one member of the housekeeping team had several large rips in his jeans. No one seemed to take pride in their work and it showed.

Absolutely terrible. Shower erratic one minute scalding hot then freezing cold. When we checked in we had no towels or toilet roll. The toilet still had the remnants of the previous guest. Stayed in a premium room but got no bottled water or chocolate during our stay despite asking reception. No milk in the room or available from reception. Lift broken for the whole of our 2 night stay. Restaurant and bar closed despite hotel being very busy. When it did open was poorly stocked both on the food and available drinks. The whole hotel and restaurant was filthy. Staff tried their best but could not solve any of the issues. TV did not function properly. One of the worst hotels I have stayed in - not worth 1 star. Complained to Premier Inn and just got fobbed off.

From the outset, the experience fell well below the standards I expect from your brand. Upon arrival, the staff member at reception was dismissive and inattentive, clearly preoccupied with a private phone call on his mobile. I did not feel welcomed as a guest. Despite booking a standard double room, I was allocated an accessible room, which was not suitable for my needs. When I queried this, I was informed the hotel was fully booked and no alternative could be provided. To make matters worse, the room was clearly not prepared for two guests staying for two nights. It was stocked with just one towel, half a roll of toilet paper, and a single sachet of coffee. When I approached reception about this, I was again met with a staff member who was on a personal phone call and showed visible irritation at being interrupted. During the stay, the noise levels in the corridors were excessive, with doors being slammed throughout the night, making it virtually impossible to get any rest. Finally, we were extremely disappointed to discover that the attached pub/restaurant was closed during our stay, a fact which was not made clear at the time of booking. Overall, this experience was very disappointing and fell short of the standards I have come to expect from Premier Inn.

On arrival told restaurant was full so no tables available - not true it was no staff as when it restaurant there was only five occupied tables. On the way the room found mouldy leaking ceiling dripping into a tub just a door away from my room. The sink plug hole was stuck and only realised after washing my hands. Guy from reception came up and smashed it open with a small screwdriver. I closed the plug hole whilst he was still there and it would open again. I informed him that I don’t normally travel with a screwdriver to be told to use the end of the teaspoon by the kettle. I checked the teaspoon only to find it was filthy - perhaps the last occupant also used it to open the plug hole. I then decided to run a bath but found hairs around the top of the bath - pretty disgusting! I don’t do may reviews and I certainly don’t post many photos but felt compelled to do so this time as it was so bad. My only advice is to find somewhere else to stay!

Location convenient, typical premier inn but the standard of cleaning is not what i expect in a premier inn. Bins overflowing outside, rubbish on the floor and in the room the skirting board was black. Carpet felt dirty and dusty. Not what i expect from PI.
