I wanted to go to Rumoi because there was a story about whether the JR Rumoi main line would be abolished. I booked this place for accommodation but it was good. We had some problems getting to the hotel, as Google maps insisted on pointing us to another deserted building down the street (which also had a sign Takasago onsen). Once we got in, it turned out nobody at the reception spoke any English, luckily one of the other guests who was just checking in volunteered to interpret. It turned out that they wanted to notify us that the AC in our room was broken (it was 35 degrees outside). After refusing to accept that room, they gave us another room with a working AC. The hotel itself is very similar to other big spa hotels we stayed in, reasonably comfortable rooms, big buffet meals, but the quality of the food was so so, but the highlight of the place was the onsen, with about 10 inside pools and a nice outside jacuzzi. I guess that was the big attraction for all the tourist groups.

I asked the front desk about the parking lot because I got on a car rental. I can see the mechanical parking lot next to it, but I personally don't like it very much. This was my first trip to Hokkaido, and I was having good memories, so I really hated the image of Asahikawa. Currently here at the hotel n is my 5th day. Twin room is big. Facilities r good. Staff are polite and helpful. I commented that the lounge coffee does not allow to take up to the room n so I asked the staff to recommend nearby cafes. After that there was a notice stating guests can bring up e lounge coffee if they like. Wow so impressive that they pick up the feedback immediately. Location is gd with jr station, intercity buses n taxi stand right beside the hotel. Amenities r gd. I used the laundry facilities and you can exchange coins with the reception counter. Everything so convenient n pleasant. I can view the mountains from my room. I will stay again.

It is a little far from the station, but it is not a distance that can't walk. There were drinkers and restaurants nearby. The room is old, not clean, and the outside of the window is the wall of the next building. It was a room with an extra bed (total ３ floor) set in a large double (there was an explanation from the hotel side at check-in), and it was difficult to walk in the room, and it felt narrow. A little arrangement in the room? Some places, but there were old but necessary things, and there was no inconvenience. I thought it was a general commercial business hotel, not for resort travel in Hokkaido.

Very convenient location since it is near JR station and shopping district. Driving distance to attractions range from 20 mins to 1 hour. Amenities such as face oil,, toner, cream, tea bags, coffee drops bags, toothpaste and toothbrush are readily available at hotel lobby at no extra charge.
