Mama / Auntie was very kind to us... Except only for shampoo / shower gel.. It smells like algae... Very bad.. Maybe it's been there for a long time. And hasn't been change... Elevator also. It doesn't stop at our floor on going down. It's good though we are just in 3rd floor. Easy ro go down from the very dirty exit stairs. Funny we can hear the other rooms.. Not sound proof.

We arrived at a hotel that looks perfectly fine from the outside, but on the inside it’s a horror. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. When we arrived, we sent a message that we were at the reception, several messages and no one came. While waiting, the hotel smelled so horribly that we could hear other people coughing and even gagging. we left after 30 minutes. The elevator took so long to arrive that we decided to take the stairs, where cockroaches were crawling on the walls.
We got a reply to the message an hour later, but by then we were already far away from the hotel. We did not get a refund.

The only thing that made me stay in this hotel is the nice auntie who always smile at us, otherwise there is nothing good here and I would have moved elsewhere, first of all the entrance to the hotel is a shopping complex filled with Indian restaurants and shops, you will smell like curry while passing by, the elevator is a nightmare, waiting time is about 5-10 minutes coz it can only fit 5 people, the rooms are very small and barely enough space for our luggages, the heater needs to be put on and off while showering coz if its on then the water is boiling hot, we walk up with the strong smell of curry coming into our room, the place is NOT for sensitive people, I’m not very sensitive but I can never ever stay here in the future. If u consider location and low budget then just don’t expect anything, the price isn’t worth it, book at your own risk!

This is the better side of this Inn, but honestly it’s the same with the 2nd night room they transferred us in, Yes they moved us because we paid less daw sa 2nd booking despite the room being the same type ‘Economic Twin Room (no Window), we had to move all our stuff before heading out, I was already sweating when we finished, the auntie was very friendly though, the one managing the keys, not the other one who was cleaning and who looks always angry and speak on top of her voice all the time, anyway like I said book at your own risk

Best value hotel in Hong Kong.
I stayed over the Labor Day holiday, and it only cost me 40 US dollars per day.
I did not meet the lady at the reception, but they provided everything I needed (great location, amenities, AC, a clean bed, and drinking water).
I read some bad reviews about this place, but come on, what did you expect for 40 US dollars in HK? Stop bitching and go to Holiday Inn next door.
It's not the kind of place you want to go with your family or GF.
The building is old and dirty. There are cockroaches and rats and homeless people loitering on the stairs.
I am a young and healthy man, and they did not bother me much.
I would definitely come back and stay here again.

Staying in Chungking Mansions is an experience in itself. It’s a well-known, highly multicultural building—worth looking up beforehand so you know what to expect.
The room was located on the third floor, but getting there often took time. The elevators are notoriously slow, and waiting times can be long, especially during busy hours. There is a stairwell available as an alternative, but it’s not very clean and not particularly inviting.
My room did not have a window. The listing mentioned that some rooms might have one, but based on what I saw, that seems unlikely. The space is very compact: essentially just a bed and a small bathroom. There’s no proper space for luggage, so I had to store my suitcase under the bed.
Because the shower is in the same small space, the room becomes quite humid after use. On the positive side, the air conditioning works well and the shower itself is surprisingly good. The room is cleaned daily, with fresh towels provided, and the hallway is also kept reasonably clean.
After 10 PM, there is no reception staff, but you can still access the area with a key card, which works fine.
The biggest advantage here is the price. Compared to regular hotels in Hong Kong, this is very affordable. If you’re simply looking for a place to sleep and don’t care about comfort or luxury, it’s a decent option.
That said, manage your expectations. The bed is quite small—I’m 1.88 m tall and couldn’t fully stretch out without my feet touching the wall.
Overall: good value for budget travelers, but very basic in every sense.

You definitely get what you pay for with the room, but for this price and having your own bathroom and shower, I thought it was a good deal. The walls are definitely thin and the place is old and rusted, but the location was amazing. Super easy to get around everywhere.

The room was just okay. The shower gel had a strange smell, and the slippers were communal, not disposable.

Nice n clean hotel. Friendly n helpful staff. To go to the Dragon Inn look for label Block B of the lift at ground floor. The right lift of label Block B will go to the 3rd floor only odd no floor. Everything thing is fine only the room is small.
