Marco Polo accommodation in Hong Kong

Upon entering the room, there was a strange odor. After a patient explanation from the staff, I understood that this is a 1960s hotel, so I decided to make do. The non-seaview room offered no scenery at all from the window – just three walls as far as the eye could see. The hotel breakfast was mainly Western and Italian, with the Chinese options not being particularly extensive, and the taste was very average. However, getting to Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier was incredibly convenient, just a two-minute walk.

Let's start with the positives: It has two 1.2-meter single beds, perfect for business trips. The price is reasonable, and the location is excellent, right below Harbour City, behind Van Cleef & Arpels, making it very easy to find. It's exactly a 15-minute walk via navigation to West Kowloon Station and Austin MTR Station, a straight line, super easy to get to. The hotel's second-floor elevator connects directly to Harbour City, so you just step out and you're there. Now for the downsides: The room had a strong musty smell. Both the mattress and pillows were uncomfortable, and I was so cold my legs ached. The duvet was very thin.

Every time I visit Hong Kong, I stay at the Marco Polo Prince Hotel. The location is absolutely unbeatable, nestled right within the Harbour City complex. You step out and you're surrounded by various brand boutiques; it's incredibly convenient to shop and take your purchases straight back to your room. It's also just a 5-minute walk to the Star Ferry Terminal and the West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station, making transportation stress-free. The room size was a pleasant surprise; the attention to detail was perfect. It's really hard to find such a spacious room in Hong Kong. They even provide USB adaptors, which is a thoughtful touch. The service was excellent, truly making you feel at home. The concierge staff were all smiles and proactively helped with our luggage – fantastic attention to detail. The front desk was efficient with check-in, and they offered free luggage storage after check-out, allowing us to explore carefree. Here’s a small detail that really impressed me: I forgot a small item in the room. When I returned to the hotel to pick up our luggage before heading to the airport, I found that the concierge had already packed my forgotten item and placed it with our other bags. This little gesture made a huge impression! Next time I'm in Hong Kong, the Prince Hotel will definitely be my first choice again! I highly recommend it to anyone coming for shopping or to enjoy the Victoria Harbour night view.
