Good points: Kitchen and tableware provided. Convenient location right next to the International Market. A bit old, but spacious and clean room. Everyone at the front desk is friendly. Free activities like lei making. Beach towels available for rent. Free parking. Pool included. Bad points: There was a homeless person sleeping next to the hotel, and someone talking loudly by themselves, which was scary. You could hear music from a store outside until late at night, which was noisy. The water pressure in the shower was weak, and the shower head was on top, making it difficult to use. Good value for money, and I can see why there are so many repeat customers! I'd like to use it again.

My husband is sensitive to local food, and I think it was a good idea to stay at the Ilima Hotel, which has a spacious room with a kitchen at a local high price. The location is close to the beach and the bus stop, and there is a rental car shop across the street, so we were able to book without any inconvenience. The staff were all friendly, and the facilities were clean and tidy. I saw a review saying that the bathroom smelled, but the room we booked didn't smell at all. I really recommend it for a family trip with children.

Parking is free at this hotel, but it gets full in the evening, so you have to use a nearby paid parking lot. The bedding smells bad and it's noisy. (External noise, exhaust fan noise, refrigerator noise) The kitchen is well-equipped and the staff is friendly.

Parking is free, and although you can't see the ocean, it's just off the street, so it's quiet, well-ventilated, and a relaxing stay.

This is a good value for money hotel. If I come to Hawaii again, I will go to Ilima Hotel or Luana Hotel. The interior has also been renewed, so it is much better than the photos posted on Trip.com. ^-^ I got a room on the Waikiki Beach side, but there was a slight sea view through the buildings, so I asked for a room with a canal view, went into the room that was cleaning, checked the view, and got it. The canal view is really nice. The kitchen was neat and all the furniture was new and clean. There is a food shredder (there seems to be all of them in the US). There is parking and parking is free, which is a really important advantage. TTTT Tears come to my eyes when I think of the hardships I had with parking after I left this hotel. It was an Ilima Hotel with a kitchen, parking lot, terrace and canal view, and the location was good.
