It is clean, quiet and a very nice hostel! Except the room next door was a little loud on my second night of stay. The toilet and bathroom was clean too. Everything is good except hairdryer needs to be change. Would come back! And location is walking distance to the town.

Stayed here for two days in a row. The location is very good. I chose it because the introduction said there is free parking. Currently, this youth hostel has 3-4 parking spaces in front of the door, first come first served. Otherwise, you need to go to Hamilton Road to find one (which is often full). You need to bring your own shower gel and shampoo, which is not very convenient. Other than that, I can give it a very high score. The youth hostel has cooperation discount codes with some attractions, you can ask the front desk to get them. If you are traveling alone, I still recommend them.

Location was honestly excellent and unbeatable, it’s right next to a bus stop where coaches pick you up for the Milford sound day tour. It’s also a short walk to the steamer wharf area, <5 mins. The girls at the reception were friendly. We had no issues with only being able to access the room after 2pm. The room itself was cosy. This seems to be one of the only rooms with a king bed and private toilet - it’s called Lucy’s room. However, it was really dusty - see the dust we cleaned off the window ledge. I am allergic to dust, so I had to wipe it down myself.. There is a pub nearby so music can be heard all the way till 3/4am on Saturday night, so not recommended if you are a light sleeper. We had a quieter night on Sunday though! If I could do it again, I would have topped up the $50-$60 to book Crowne Plaza, which was also in an equally prime spot.

A great experience for a female solo traveler. I
Pros
I shared a female dorm with three other women and had a great time getting to know those coming in and out. The shared bathroom was always clean (cleaned every day).
The communal kitchen is large and well-organised. You can make use of condiments that get left behind. As it was still cold, there are always fires burning both in reception and the common room. It makes the atmosphere very cosy.
The best service I got was from their information desk, which is located in the reception area. As I didn't have a credit card and businesses like Snowbiz in town don't accept cash, I was able to pay for ski passes and rental by making a booking at the service desk (they have a card machine and also accept cash).
Cons
This side of the hostel where my room was located, just experiences a lot of noise, as there are bars down below, despite the sliding door being sound-proof. Not all the reading lamps for each bed work and also need to be fixed. The shower leaked a lot of water, as the glass door doesn't properly close.
Overall though, a great stay and value for money. You do save on accommodation, as QT is an expensive town to visit.

Very Good
GGuest UserWe loved Alexis Motel! We found very friendly and helpful staff. Kyle did a great job in greeting us, showing us our room and helping us orient ourselves in Queenstown. The location was perfect. Most rooms have a great view. They are comfortable and spacious. Kitchenette had everything we needed. The prices were one of the most reasonable in Queenstown.
GGuest UserIf you stay for multiple days, you have to rely more on yourself for cleaning. I feel that there is a shortage of manpower. The cleaning service can be slightly improved and it will be more efficient. The location is indeed quite convenient.
Hhansenw66It is close to the town center of Queenstown. It is very convenient to go to the town center. Because it is downhill, back to the room, there is a big long slope, but because many homestays in Queenstown are on the hillside, this is also very normal, not 24 hours There is a front desk, but there is no room service required for check-in. It is cleaned every day. Relatively speaking, it is a very cost-effective accommodation place in Queenstown. Some suites have very complete tableware and are quite suitable for cooking by yourself.
GGuest UserThe location is quite good, you can walk to and from the city center.
They operate several accommodation buildings, so you can park right in front of the entrance, but if there is no space, you have to park on the street. However, I remember that there were always cars.
The accommodation had a bit of a peculiar smell, but the facilities were new and not very comfortable.
The staff were very friendly, so there was no difficulty in checking in and out.
There were no other inconveniences.
WWoshiEcho.Hotels in Queenstown are generally expensive, but this one is OK. Cost-effectiveness is also a very important consideration.
There is a bus stop at the entrance of the previous guide, and the Airport Line 1 can reach it. I didn't expect that the road was under construction recently, and the platform was temporarily cancelled, but it's okay to take one more stop. It's not far to walk, and you can see the two most beautiful cherry trees.
10 minutes walk from the town
25 minutes walk from the skyline
Another big slope to go up and down, nothing else is good, mountain view room, you can see the cable car every day🚡
GGuest UserVery quiet, nice single-family cabin, very tasteful. This is probably a characteristic of New Zealand, which is vast and sp****ly populated. Due to the small number of service staff and their working mode, there was no one to greet us when we arrived late, but he still made arrangements.
AAnonymous UserThe lake view is beautiful, you can directly see the lake view while lying on the bed
The heating is very warm and the bed is comfortable to sleep on. The overall experience is very good.
Although the location is not in the town, it is not too far away. I will consider staying here next time.
GGuest UserHotel is located on a very busy road off Queenstown and towards Frankton. The construction outside also does not help in getting in and out of the place. Rooms are cozy with kitchen and there is a paid laundry available as well. lots of parking space. Avoid the corner rooms near the road which is always noisy. A long walk into town mostly downhill, but the walk back can be painful. Otherwise nothing much to write about as it what you can expect for the price paid.
GGuest UserThe location is very good, the real lake view room. From the outside, the building looks a bit dated, but the rooms are typical motels with clean beds. That is, the bathroom window of our room is connected to the corridor, if someone in the corridor can hear it better. There is a door between the other two standard rooms, so the sound insulation effect is average.
