Xin Yuan Hotel

Xin Yuan Hotel ★★

📍 No.223 Minquan Road, East District, Hsinchu

"The room felt clean. It was big for suitcases as well. The reception is open 24h I think. Or was open 4am at least. They say check in is open until 00:00 though. They were nice. They didn’t have water bottles, but they have water dispenser at the room, which was very nice. They don’t clean the room during the day, but once I asked if they could change my bed sheets, and it was no problem. They even cleaned the bathroom and changed the towels as well. I would say the only downside was that the curtain in the bathroom was too short, so the floor got a bit wet after every shower. They didn’t have hand soap or conditioner (they had shampoo and body soap). You couldn’t flush toilet paper in the toilet. Otherwise I’ll would say out was a nice stay. The location is close to big city."

Howard Plaza Hotel Hsinchu

📍 No.178 Zhongzheng Road, North District, Hsinchu

Sol Hotel

Sol Hotel ★★★★

📍 No.10 Wenhua Street, East District, Hsinchu

"I always stay here when I visit Hsinchu. The rooms are spacious, and the location is super convenient. It's definitely my top choice! I especially love the blueberry vinegar among the free drinks; besides coffee, they now even have two types of Thai milk tea, which is a great addition! 👍 The breakfast selection isn't huge, but they change it up a bit every day, which is nice and keeps things from getting boring. Right next to the hotel is a very popular vegetarian restaurant. Their soups are packed with ingredients, and the chestnuts in them are incredibly fragrant. Just make sure to check their opening days as they have quite a few days off. But they get a lot of dine-in and takeout orders, and every bowl is cooked fresh, so the owners (I think?) are super busy! 🤣"

Carlton Hotel
8.6 (257 reviews)

Carlton Hotel ★★★★

📍 No.225 Beida Road, North District, Hsinchu

"Room 1115 Pros: - centrally located.. a couple of mins walk from Chenhuang temple - room was big, no frills and clean - hotel has a lounge where guest can help themselves to get simple snacks and drinks Cons: - really starting to show its age - from peeling bathtubs and all - pillows were a tad soft - breakfast very average in terms of taste and quantity Better off eating out of the hotel"

The HO Hotel
9.0 (266 reviews)

The HO Hotel ★★★★

📍 No.16 Daxue Road, East District, Hsinchu

"Pros: Breakfast is perfect, very good combination of western and *********. Location is perfect if you are visiting Jiao Tong University and Tsinghua University. Only a couple of bus stops. Very authentic local restaurants around. Employees are willing to help. Free soda in the fridge, decent gym. Good balcony view in certain rooms. Cons: My room was clean but shower head was loose, although I was able to fix it myself, it made the bathroom a chaos. Shampoo and bodywash are not good considering it's a 4-star. Electronic bidet that cleans you but doesn't dry you out... public baths could be a good place to relax, but it only open 4-10pm, which is not friendly to travellers who only stay for the night."

Hua Tai Hotel

"The location is very convenient, less than a 10-minute walk from Hsinchu Station, and within walking distance of the city center. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of dishes, and everything tasted delicious. The room was clean and had a hairdryer, a large refrigerator, and two bottles of water. Some rooms don't have windows, so I requested a different room at check-in, and they kindly changed my room as one was available. The large bathtub was also a plus. The front desk staff were very kind and answered all my questions thoroughly, making for a very pleasant experience. I personally recommend this hotel."

"It was my first time to visit Hushan Leisure and Scenery Hotel for 2 days and one night. I stayed in Room 213 of the elegant garage room. The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom had a large double spa massage bathtub. The bed was very soft and I slept well. I almost overslept and forgot to eat breakfast. The breakfast was rich and varied for me, except for one red bean and purple rice snack. Beverages include milk tea, soy milk, and coffee (if there is ice, please inform the counter staff) Check out at 12 o'clock, have a full meal and take a rest before taking a bath. I will stay here again next time I come."

Fleur Lis Hotel Hsinchu ★★★★
"Fleurie Hotel is very close to Hsinchu city center, making its location super convenient. You can walk to Big City department store, and there's also a 24-hour brunch place nearby. The staff are friendly and the hotel is quite large, but the elevator to the rooms doesn't require a room card to go up, which feels a bit unsafe. The cribs could really use an upgrade; they were quite dirty, and for a baby to sleep in, it makes you feel really uneasy. 🥹"

Sol Hotel ★★★★
"Putting 1-star for facilities due to water ponding in standing bath area in room 307. Water doesn't flow down the drain. Both foot will be soaked in water while showering which is quite disgusting. It's a known problem (as the flooring is not done probably) and not fixed by the hotel. Water remains even in the next morning. We questioned the recept staff if this is a known issue but she did not answer. So, avoid room 307. 5-stars for all other area. We got a room changed and the bath area was bigger and no more water ponding issue in standing bath area."

Carlton Hotel ★★★★
"This hotel offers a unique amenity not found elsewhere. On the 1st-floor lounge, guests can find essential oils, bath salts, and fine mesh bags to fill and take back to their room's bathtub, adding a delightful aromatic touch to their soak – a truly thoughtful gesture! Nearby, Changhe Temple and the Cultural and Educational Building are worth exploring. From the park just across the street, you can easily pick up a U-Bike and cycle to the train station, passing by sights like City Hall and the Public Library along the way."
