A time honoured hotel got a new “face” by cultural creative designing. The rooms and the parking lot still express their old ages but good maintenance shall be credited. It seems there are many exchanging staff from abroad, which is good for providing international services. The location is perfect, just right nearby the city hall. Even though the restaurants around this area are plenty, the ones inside Howard are good enough and the cafe on 1st floor is suitable for a family with kids.

Good location with a very japanese style riverside. Clean, tidy room. Just fine breakfast.
However, terrible experience about the staff.
1. We were told the basement parking lot was full that we had to park on the ground level, to load our laggages along with a 2.5 yd girl in the stroller there and to drag them to the basement via the long ramp. While we were having trouble not to jar our little girl, we saw a car slided in the basement and parked there.
2. Next day, we, two adults, one little girl, plus a stroller were lead to a table for only two. As we asked to switch to the nearby sofa dining area, the staff told us that the reservation today was full when there was really no more than 15 persons in the restaurent during our time there.

The bed is quite comfortable, but the soundproofing is not very good and there are a lot of noises
Personally, I suggest that the shower space in the bathroom should be separated from wet and dry areas. In the shower area, only half of the shower space is separated from dry and wet areas, and the other half is left open for water to escape.

The hotel is very close to the train station. It is very convenient to walk to Yuanbai or Chenghuang Temple to taste snacks. The hotel facilities are a bit old, and the hot water will suddenly become very hot, which feels a bit malfunctioning.

I arrived 5am and the hotel checking time is 4pm .. where in the world hotel check in time is 4pm .. you can guess from 5 am to 4 pm I have to wait to take shower.. using washroom and take a nap? It’s a 5 star. Hotel wow .. I would recommend plz check ur flight schedule and hotel check in time in Taiwan.. it doesn’t matter you are in 5 star hotel..

There are plenty of choices for breakfast. I originally thought that the dishes would not be replenished as time was approaching.
As a result, there will be new ones

The kids play area, swimming pool and breakfast are great. The service is good. We stayed at the basic room and the room is spacious; however, it’s lacking some details of a four star hotel. There’s no central air for a chilly December night. No office table, not enough storage space and the lights can only be turned on and off all at once.

The service staff guided us very attentively~~but it was because it was an RV! The parking space is outdoors and cannot be shaded! It is not convenient to carry luggage. It would be better if the parking aspect can be improved in the future. In the evening, we went to the famous Dongmen Market to eat delicious food. It was amazing! Such great seafood! The area near the hotel is also very lively!

LLEE CHUN YANGWe were unaware of a policy until we arrive at the motel and it is inconvenient for stay more than a night. This policy was not flagged on the booking platform. Staying for 3 nights mean we are to check in from 6pm and check out next day 12 noon, return 6pm to check in and check out again next noon, total 3 times.
A service fee (for the 6 hours 12noon to 6pm) is charged in order to keep the room thru the day for the 3 night stay avoiding the daily check in and out. This said to applies for 2pax room and is addition to the booking paid on the booking platform.
We picked this motel for convenience of parking and walk up to the room. Everything was good in the room apart the narrow stairway carrying our luggage and the floor better off wearing a slippers. Breakfast is ok with a small spread of buffet and few additional items you can order from the kitchen.

The hall has a high ceiling so it doesn't feel oppressive, and there is a pool table for use.
The room has a higher ceiling than the average hotel, and the entire space feels comfortable. The bottled water is its own brand of glass bottled water, which is more thoughtful and high-quality from a hotel that prefers to use plastic bottles. In addition to basic toiletries such as combs and toothbrushes, the bathroom also comes with amazing amenities such as bath salts and facial masks.
There is an underground parking lot. You can get coupons at the counter and park for free.
What's a pity is that I didn't open the drawer until I checked out, and saw that there were many types of pillows to choose from. This is a hotel that pays great attention to every detail.

GGuest UserMy first stay at the Lakeshore Hotel was in the early 2000s.Since then, the rooms have been updated but the service is still first rate. I needed help with getting my high speed train ticket issued and the person at the front counter offered to go with me to the convenience store to help.
The bathroom has a Japanese toilet accessory and a bathtub shower so you can soak a bit if it's been a hot day in Hsinchu.
A large mall is located 5 minutes away and there are several convenience stores on the same block so there are plenty of eating options.

The staff is nice at the counter and very helpful when we asked about the places around and they gave very good information. Overall is a comfortable stay for a night and the price is very reasonable and worth staying. I enjoyed walking to the night market nearby and all the nice food around.

Transportation and parking: Although there is no attached parking lot, it is very close to the Akatosaki Park underground parking lot, so parking is relatively convenient.
Check-in and check-out: 24-hour self-service check-in and check-out are provided, which is very convenient for travelers with more flexible schedules.
Bathroom facilities: The water pressure is strong and the bathing experience is quite good. In addition, a dehumidifier is provided in the room to help regulate humidity.

The location is only a 3-minute walk from the train station. It also has a motorcycle parking lot and luggage storage service. A decent hotel~
