Xiangyuan Yungu Holiday Hotel Reviews

The hotel is very clean and beautiful. It is located next to the ropeway and has easy access to one part of the mountains. The food however is not so great. Specially, lunch and dinner are mediocre at its best. There is not many choices of food in nearby area either. Also, there is no room service. The staff at the front desk is very polite and very helpful. If you have a multiple day stay and you want to go other places for sight seeing then it will be best to change your hotel to nearby places you want to go. Traveling to and from the hotel is a hassle. Taxis are not allowed from the town to the hotel and public busses has some procedures that may be difficult to follow if you don't speak Chinese.

They provide a very good hospitality. Tea time with local snacks were provided and they even upgraded the room for us since it was a low peak season. It has a walkable distance to the cable car station, therefore we can be the first batch for the queue.

Amazing place in the middle of the mountain! The best service and nice personnel. Relaxing hot springs and exquisite food. Comfortable and clean rooms. Highly recommend to everyone!

The hotel is located in the mountain and can only be accessed by bus or the hotel shuttle. It is a good option if you’re planning to descend via Yungu cableway. They have hot springs onsite. Food is just ok. The staff is very helpful.

The hotel for upgraded our room to King Room. The room was huge! It has a separate toilet and shower. Beautiful interior from the moment you walk in. Also the facilities are amazing. From pick up and drop off service to/from Tangkouzen, to the ever comforting outdoor and indoor hot pool. It is also very close to Yungu cable car. I rarely post review, but this is one of the best accommodation i’ve stayed in china.

Lovely hotel next to the cable car. The hotel is beautifully decorated. You can enjoy the hot springs for free and has a tea room where I could tried different types of tea. It exceded my expectations.

Friendly staff, good dinner and good location. Hotspring was great after the long hikes.

This hotel is located beside Yungu Cableway. Very good for people who want to hike Huangshan. The hotel staff are very friendly and responsive. Highly recommended to stay here. There is an outdoor hot spa free for guests. Remember to bring your swimming suit.

First off, our fault, we didn't take note of the negative reviews of the service rendered in this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel, with amazing details and decorative accents. It is such a waste that the service standard is dismal. The lady at the reception was very dismissive when we checked in, after our long day of hiking. We managed to descend huangshan and reach the hotel about 6pm. She coldly informed us we have to have our dinner (before 8pm) and hotspring (before 9pm). We really scrambled and otherwise, you won't have food, and they would not allow us to use the hotspring voucher for the next day. Next, it might be a "hotspring" hotel (throw away all preconceived thoughts of onsens), but u are only allowed one use a day, and it is only available from 3pm to 9pm. Next, apparently there is some transport restrictions for this hotel. So you can't just go out of the hotel to the town to eat and come back as there are specific timings u can go out or come into the hotel, via their transport team. You are basically holed in the hotel, which is fine for just one day, but not for longer stays. The food is acceptable, but they really meant it when they say it is a self-service buffet. The lady manager is especially surly. I don't think she was targeting us, she was equally dismissive to all (I guess that is some consolation) The staff delivered us 4 bottles of water while looking at his phone, no eye contact in any way (but this might just us being boomers by expecting some form of hospitality) The lady at the noodle station asked us to get our own soup bowl, while she continued with her douyin surfing.

Great location just next to the cable car. Hotel is clean, well equipped and the staff is friendly. Breakfast has many choices and the food is very tasty. They also took care of the luggage, bringing it to the car parked in the town. Hot spring is very relaxing.

Very good hotel, excellent location and service. Higly recommended if you are planning to stay on Huangshan.

The hotel offers pick up and drop off service, one time each to and from the bottom of Huangshan and the hotel, got to contact the hotel and book a slot before hand. The front desk service was excellent. Was well introduced to the hotel amenities and staff offered advice on hiking routes. A wooden hiking stick was offered f.o.c. Great location near the yugu cable car entrance, 5 min walk away. The restaurant offers a wide variety of local Chinese food. The serving size and price is way better than that of Tangkou village. The room is true to the pictures, no cold air conditioning but the room was cooled from the external cold weather. Things are new and clean, though mould spots could be seen on the wall. Free bottled water provided. Hot (plain water) springs available at no extra charge for guests. Swimsuits can be bought on the spot, women's for 100yuan, men's for 50 yuan, if design is not a matter. The dining and hotspring service time was not an issue to us. The hotel also offered pick up service from Hotspring bus station if guests took the yuping cable car down. Had a great time staying in this hotel. Lived up to the price, as compared to older and pricey hotels further up the mountain.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, free afternoon tea and snacks and drinks in room.  The room was big and very clean. Location was excellent just a few hundred meters from cablecar.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It’s right next to Yungu cablecar. The first morning we left directly very early to hike and they picked our luggage up from a shop before the gate which was super convenient. The hotel is beautifully decorated and it has some really nice hot springs, the rooms are also nicely decorated. We asked for non smoking room and it still had a bit of smell on the other hand some walls were a bit dirty. Overall a nice atmosphere. The location of the hotel is not on the peak, so every time you want to start the hike you need get the cable car back and forth. The food was ok and pricy. The breakfast that was great. The staff were also really helpful.
