"The room was great. However, there aren't many breakfast places around, and all the shops close early at night. What was really awkward was that the breakfast voucher I bought on Xianyu turned out to be a scam, so I couldn't use it at all and ended up paying for breakfast myself. Nowadays, all the breakfast vouchers on Xianyu are scams that promise a refund if you don't have a son, and I only found out later on Xiaohongshu that there are scammers everywhere."

"We chose this hotel because it was close to the train station and we only needed an overnight stay. The room was fine, the bed linen was clean. But when I dropped a hair tie and reached under the nightstand to get it, there was a lot of trash, hair, and dust. There's a grocery store in the hotel building, which is a plus. The receptionist is certainly an interesting guy. He wasn't in a hurry, considering people were traveling and could have checked in quickly. He didn't say hello, either on the day of our arrival or the next day. For some reason, he ended our stay at 8 a.m. when we went out for some fresh air (without bags and not returning the key), even though we could have easily stayed there until 12. When we returned from a walk and passed him, he didn't even mention it. This was so we'd get to the third floor, get to our room, and realize the door wouldn't open with the key, go downstairs, and ask him to resolve the issue. Why even bother checking people out early when they haven't even returned their keys and their check-out time hasn't even begun? It's a strange situation, both at the Hunchun Hotel and the Changchun Hotel. Maybe this is normal—people leave their rooms, meaning they've checked out. Basically, something went wrong toward the end of our trip."

The takeaway was delivered reluctantly, and the price-performance ratio is very low! Nearly 800 per night, and the breakfast is at the level of a chain hotel"

I highly recommend the skewers pictured – they were cheap, delicious, and the auntie who sold them was incredibly generous. Knowing we traveled a long way, she even gave us extra skewers to take with us. The experience in Northeast China was truly fantastic!"
