Inns in Xingyi

The garden-style guesthouse is beautifully decorated and has a great location, right by the road (a bit noisy from passing traffic at night). Our room was on the second floor, with a balcony offering a fantastic view of the terraced rice fields and peaks across the street. The second floor was slightly obstructed by trees, but the third floor was even better. There were three parking spaces, and you could rent a tram to get to the guesthouse. The manager was very helpful and friendly, and recommended places to eat and visit. The guesthouse has been open for a few years, but the desks and walls in the family room weren't very clean. The first-floor lobby was dark without lights on. There was no permanent receptionist, and I had to find someone every time I needed something. I hadn't even washed up yet, and my phone needed to be charged after a day of use, when the power went out! No one brought me candles or anything, so I washed up in the dark. I woke up to find two dead crickets on the floor... The breakfast was simple, just enough to fill me up. When I checked out, there was still no one at the front desk, and I had to call for help to carry my luggage downstairs, and then wait for someone.

Fengxi is indeed very nice, with a mini Songtsam feel. It's a three-minute walk from the sightseeing bus stop at Nahui, and a seven- or eight-minute walk to the riverside café. Every detail is excellent, and the receptionist was incredibly helpful. We arrived late and didn't want dinner, so she gave us cake and rice crackers. Since we were traveling with an elderly person who couldn't easily fit in a tatami room, we upgraded them to a regular bed room on the first floor. They even thoughtfully turned on the air conditioning beforehand because it was cold. Personally, I think staying here is more convenient; the Bagua Field area is the most beautiful. You absolutely must try the fish at the restaurant next door; the longevity fish is crispy and incredibly fresh.

Xingyi is a great place, and Yinfeng Inn was a bonus during my trip. I spent a long time choosing before finally finding this inn facing the Bagua Field. The famous Bagua Field is right outside the window. Standing on the balcony in the morning mist, gazing at the mountain clouds and the distinctly layered fields, I felt incredibly relaxed. The room was spacious and clean. The owner and the staff were very attentive and welcoming, responding quickly. The breakfast was also well-balanced. The location is very close to the Wanfenglin Scenic Area, and there's a popular cafe called Fengxi right across the street. However, due to flooding at the time, I had to take a detour. Staying two nights felt a bit rushed; staying another day would have been more relaxing. The only downside is that it's next to the road, so the traffic noise is quite loud before 11:30 am, but it gets quiet later. Other more expensive guesthouses in the area also have this problem. Compared to others, this inn offers the best value for money.

The view from halfway up the mountain was absolutely stunning. Everyone at the guesthouse was incredibly kind, doing their best to meet guests' needs and offering various forms of assistance. Even though it was past mealtime when we checked in, they still cooked a single meal. For those of us who prefer a relaxed trip, we booked dinner at the guesthouse; it was home-style cooking, reasonably priced, and quite delicious. The kitchen was also visibly clean. Breakfast had a slightly limited selection, but they did have noodles, which were pretty good. Non-instant coffee could be ordered separately. Overall, it was perfect for a laid-back, relaxing vacation. Unfortunately, my itinerary was also quite relaxed and casual; I only stayed one night. I had already booked hotels for the following days, otherwise I really wanted to stay longer.

The room is clean, the service is warm, quiet, and the meal is very convenient. The powder shop for breakfast is a few minutes walk. The restaurant in the big banyan tree is also very close. It is ten minutes walk. It is also very convenient to rent a car. Friends who like to be quiet in the middle of noisy can close the order.

Parking was inconvenient; you had to back up to get out, and the exit was narrow, plus the parking lot below wasn't big enough. It seems like they're still renovating, and some facilities are incomplete. The view from the front desk on the first floor was nice, the terrace was spacious, and the pool view was fantastic—perfect for taking photos. However, once I got into the pool, I found a lot of sediment, which ruined my swimming mood. The room's decor certainly didn't justify the 1200 yuan price tag. The only redeeming feature was the view of rice paddies and mountain peaks from the window in the morning. Also, I really couldn't accept the use of recycled bottles for water in the room. The complimentary fruit was nice. Because of time constraints, afternoon tea was moved to the morning; the staff said they were too busy preparing breakfast, so I didn't get a chance to experience afternoon tea. There was a friendly young woman with bangs who was very helpful and provided detailed explanations. She also created a WeChat group, which was a nice touch.

The service was excellent; the staff were very welcoming, helping with my luggage and recommending places to visit and eat! The environment was also fantastic, located in the best part of Wanfenglin! The room was clean, tidy, and quiet! Wanfenglin itself is also very beautiful! A very good stay!

This trip was so rushed that I arrived at the hotel late at night with my luggage, and I was worried I'd have to make do for one night. But to my surprise, the owner greeted me with a smile as soon as I entered, holding a freshly brewed cup of hot tea. His words, ”You must be tired, come in and rest. Where are you from?” instantly melted away all the fatigue from my late-night journey. The room had central air conditioning, and the bed was made impeccably. Even the pillow height was thoughtfully considered without me having to say a word—it was such a pleasant surprise. The next morning, I have to rave about the breakfast! The variety was dazzling—hot, freshly made dishes, fresh fruit, and delicate snacks. After eating, I felt completely energized, and even the flavors were tailored to my preferences. I especially loved their plain noodles. The view from the room was absolutely stunning! Just open the window and you'd see the Wanfeng Forest across the street. The mountain scenery, with its layered peaks unfolding like an ink painting, is breathtaking. Mornings are shrouded in mist, and evenings are bathed in the glow of the setting sun. Sitting by the window, sipping tea and enjoying the view, time seems to slow down. The toiletries in the room were also incredibly thoughtful; the high-end brand scent was fresh and not overpowering, and the texture was exquisite. I even shamelessly asked the owner for an extra set to take on my next trip. The high-end facilities were absolutely fantastic. The bedding was soft and plush, and the bathroom was impeccably clean with a separate shower and toilet. It was a truly comfortable stay. This thoughtful touch upon checking in late at night, combined with the wonderful experience during the day, has already made me secretly plan my next trip. This amazing guesthouse is a must-visit! I sincerely wish the owner great success in their business, and that this wonderful place deserves to be discovered by more people! ❤️

A perfect experience. I used to have concerns about homestays, but this time I completely changed my mind. I chose Xingyi to take my child on a trip during the college entrance examination holiday. I stayed in a hotel in the city for the first two days, and arranged to stay in a homestay in Wanfenglin Scenic Area for the next two days. I booked this Fengsan in advance, mainly because it can be cancelled for free. I didn't expect that after the housekeeper contacted me on the day of check-in, he kept explaining that he hadn't contacted me. Maybe I rejected the strange call as a harassing call. The housekeeper wanted to arrange a pick-up. That night, we gave a very sweet apple and a local fat banana as welcome fruit. My family liked it very much and wanted to know where to buy it. I didn't expect that the housekeeper not only informed the location of the fruit shop in time, but also gave several more. Very considerate. The small infinity pool of this homestay is at a commanding height. It feels great to be able to swim and enjoy the scenery. The breakfast is very homely, and there is sweet soup in the evening. When it rains outside, an umbrella will be quietly placed at the door, and you will feel warm when you open the door. On the last day, we arranged to send you to the airport, and the driver was also very nice. The whole stay was impeccable.

I had the attitude of giving it a try, but I gained a lot of warmth. Came with my parents, aunt, and brothers. The room is large and cozy. There is a mountain view when you open the door. You can rent an electric car within a ten-minute walk. The lady boss took the initiative to tell us a lot of places to play. She even helped call the owner of the electric car store because it was raining and asked them to pick up the car when the rain stopped. The next day, he helped us bring breakfast because he went out early in the morning. Come and stay and watch~
