"We chose this hotel without hesitation, drawn by its reputation as 'Baoshan's best' and the allure of its hot spring pool, even though we were only staying for one night. However, our stay revealed it to be just another run-of-the-mill upscale hotel. While the facilities were certainly adequate, it was the service that truly disappointed me.
Firstly, we arrived at 9 PM. After a long day of driving, a hot spring soak sounded wonderful. During check-in, I asked the front desk if the hot springs were still open. I was told they closed at 10:30 PM and were therefore not recommended, suggesting we could go the next morning instead. However, when we went to the hot springs the next morning, we discovered they actually closed at 11 PM the previous night. What's more, despite setting aside time to use them that morning, only two or three pools were operational, and the one my child wanted to play in was only half-filled. It was truly baffling.
Secondly, shortly after settling into our room, I tried to call the front desk for an extra pair of slippers and a dental kit, as we were a family of three. The in-room phone, however, was constantly busy and wouldn't connect (it was later confirmed not to be broken, as it worked perfectly the next morning). This made me wonder if the front desk had perhaps taken the phone off the hook? Regarding the slippers and dental kit, I ended up having to call the front desk from my mobile. Even then, I had to wait for a full half-hour and make a second call before they were finally brought to our room.
These might seem like minor issues, just small details, but isn't it precisely these details that set a hotel apart and define its quality?
Additionally, the roads around the hotel are currently under construction, which could cause some minor inconvenience for getting in and out."
