"This stay was fantastic! The hotel's location is excellent and very convenient for transport. The lobby is stylish and grand, and check-in was very efficient. My room was spacious and bright, decorated in a warm and elegant style. The facilities were complete and well-maintained, feeling very new, especially the comfortable bedding, which allowed me to have a great night's sleep. The cleanliness was spotless, with attention to every detail. The staff were warm, thoughtful, and always ready to help. The overall environment was quiet, and the value for money is superb. "The location was perfect: a few minutes walking from the border, good cheap food and a night market around the corner and a China Unicom shop to get a sim card is next door. The staff is great too. They helped me set up and verify my WeChat account and hailed down a metered taxi to the train station (13 yuan) when I didn't find a ride on Didi. A con of this place was the smell of smoke in the room (as long as the window was open it was fine) and the mold in the bathroom. But nothing too bad and a good place to stay for a night."

"1. When I entered the room, I found an empty water bottle and a bag, which were likely left behind by housekeeping. This shouldn't happen and indicates that the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly or checked properly.
2. For breakfast, the auntie making the chicken pho added mostly chicken giblets, neck, and brains instead of actual chicken meat. I took two bites of the noodles and one piece of chicken before leaving.
3. The front desk lady was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful with all my questions.
4. The location is great, right next to the border gate, so you don't have to drive around looking for parking.
5. After the rain, the hotel's floor tiles became extremely slippery. I saw someone fall and had to walk very carefully myself. Honestly, it's probably best to avoid staying here on a rainy day. All the good feedback is thanks to the front desk staff."

The front desk staff were very welcoming. They even gave the kids complimentary toothbrushes and slippers, which was a nice touch. It is on the main road and is easy to find. Facing the river, on the opposite side is Vietnam. Just a short walk to the port and food court. Hygiene is also good, but there are too few rolling papers."

Convenient location not far from the border with Vietnam and very short drive away from the main bus station. There are many shops, restaurants, big supermarket, park and a lovely river promenade all around the hotel.
Excellent efficient staff. The young lady at the desk answered all my questions, helped with directions, transport and even explained to the taxi driver where to take me. For me as a foreigner just having arrived to a new country, that service alone deserves the highest rating. Thank you!

GGuest UserThey upgraded my room for free, and it was much larger. One of the rooms even had a direct view of the China Customs building and the Clock Tower from the window. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and professional, and they even allowed us to check in early and check out late. The hotel is a bit old, so some of the facilities are dated, but it's very clean, and the beds are spotless. There's a slight odor in the bathroom if you don't turn on the exhaust fan. The location is excellent, very close to the Customs building, and there's free parking available until 3 PM the next day. The travel agency downstairs was also great; we got our embassy visa the very next morning. It's very close to nearby attractions, and you can enjoy the scenery across the river with just a short walk.
Friendly tip: When we first arrived, the Wi-Fi was constantly cutting out. A staff member came over, turned on the TV to test it, and after that, it worked perfectly without any lag. I'm not sure why, but it happened in both rooms.

This viewing hotel in the tropical area this time completely exceeded expectations, it is definitely a treasure-level accommodation choice!
The environment of the hotel is really impeccable. It is surrounded by dense tropical vegetation. The trees can be seen everywhere. The breeze can smell the faint fragrance of flowers. It is accompanied by crisp bird song. It seems to live in a natural oxygen bar, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and relax physically and mentally. The hygiene is even more reassuring. The room is spotless, the bedding is white and soft, and there is no smell. The details of the bathroom, table top, corners and other details are cleaned. There is no dust on the table and chairs on the terrace. You can feel the staff's intentions.
The most amazing is the scenery! Open the balcony door, and you will see a tropical coconut grove. You can see the blue coastline in the distance. Wake up with the sunrise in the morning. In the evening, you will see the sunset dyeing the sky orange and pink. Whether it is drinking tea on the terrace of the room or relaxing in the hotel's viewing pool, the eyes are full of healing tropical scenery, it is really pleasant!
The location is also very good, you can see the Red River outside the window, you can see Vietnam on the opposite side, the surrounding transportation is convenient, you can feel the tropical streets when you go out, and eat local specialties. In short, whether it is the environment, health or scenery is impeccable, I will definitely stay here again next time I travel to the tropical!

SSteve James55The home-cooked food offered looked delicious, but being vegetarian, sadly I couldn't try it. The hosts were beyond helpful, going to great lengths to help me sort out transportation problems with by ebike, after I discovered there was no luggage consignment available at Hekou North train station. They were willing to store my bike for free until I returned, but in the end managed to organise transport to Lijiang with a local logistics company which I would never have found myself, after all the major firms refused. Can't praise them enough - wonderful people.

ĐĐỗ MinhThe owner is super friendly even though she cannot speak English and I cannot speak Chinese. Once she understands what we want, she will try her best to serve. One member in our group was sick and the owner is very kind to give us ginger and honey when we ask.
The room is clean and quite large for two people. It's totally enough for our group's simple style.
The only disadvantage is it's not near the downtown and may take your time to find out if you do not speak Chinese. But overall for us the experience was still great because we enjoy riding electric bicycle around.

It's an old house, the sanitary facilities are average, the towels and quilts are old, the proprietress is very welcoming, and the room door leaks air. The advantage is that it is convenient for traveling, but the disadvantage is that there is singing in the square in the street garden at night, and the loudspeaker is very loud, and it is quiet only after 12 o'clock in the middle of the night!

GGuest UserIt is right at the Hekou Port, and by the river, with Vietnam across the way. The room is quiet, clean and tidy. It is an elevator room, very quiet and independent. It does not have massages and other promotions like many hotels. It is quite suitable for staying quietly in Hekou. There are many Vietnamese delicacies nearby. It is very comfortable and good! I don't know why there are no reviews for such a cost-effective B&B!

LLay TannyGood location of Hekou town area where platform’s hostels are mostly located here. Restaurants, cafe, eateries, mini markets, all least 20+outlets are within 1-5mins walk. Hotel unit is of good wifi signal, hot water shower, clean sheets, water boiler for coffee, drinking water dispenser and cable tv for movie choices, perfect for good rest in this Hekou Boarder Town. Safe choice for Solo female backpacker. Highly recommend! P/s: this hotel is the 3rd move in for me within 18 hours with help from trip.com, personally thinks this hotel is great for global backpackers and totally value for money and I’ve extended a night stay to 3 nights to recuperate from traumatised experience of previous lodgings.
