I have stayed here before and it was again enjoyable. There is rooftop restaurant and the room is nice and clean with hot water. The building is well designed and the room has natural light

This hotel’s staff is really generous! This is a good deal for all tourists.

1. The service is very good. Give advice and help in every matter. 2. Pick up at the train station and drop off at the bus station free of charge. 3. Delicious food, especially Chilli chicken and omlett. 4. There is cold beer served at the restaurant. 5. Rooftop restaurant, beautiful view, can sit all morning. during the day (there is a separate room on the rooftop to protect from the sun) and in the evening 6. The location is a short walk to see the city and to the fort. 7. There is a desert safari and camp tour service.

I have to admit, I had never wanted to visit Jaisalmer on my previous trips to India. A night in the desert, camels, dunes, sand... just doesn't appeal. However, I did decide to bite the bullet this time, and after reading several reviews of Shahi Palace Hotel on Trip Advisor, I'm pretty sure my choice of stay would have been approved by anyone luckily enough to stay there. I stayed as a solo tourist in one of the budget rooms. Shahi Palace Hotel is of course, run by Akshay (TA forums Digital Jaisalmer) and meeting Akshay was perhaps the favorite part of my entire trip, he's such a people person and gave off good vibes wherever he went. On arrival, he let me choose a room which had everything I needed, including an a/c unit and additional ceiling fan. Everything was nice and clean including the bathroom with hot water. The double bed was comfy to lie in, so much so that a quick rest turned into several hours of deep sleep (I was really tired lol). The following morning when Akshay found out I was interested in seeing Baolis in the area, he wanted to come with me and I'm glad he did, as I picked up a lot of information from him that I wouldn't have known about on my own. We visited some 12 wells, some were for the Rajput community, others for Jain, one was specifially meant for women to bathe in, in the hot summer. We also caught a sunset at Bada Bagh before watching tractors take water from a nearby well via a big hose pipe. Later in the evening, Akshay suggested I try the butter chicken at their rooftop restaurant. I had never tried this dish before, mainly fearing it would be creamy and too rich – but it was heavenly, not too hot and with lots of flaky naan bread to mop up all the gravy. What a final evening, sat in full view the imposing fort, lit in the evening, eating that delicious meal. I mentioned to my driver Nett earlier in the day that I didn't think I would like to spend a night out in the desert but he went and showed me some of his mobile photos and I was very jealous. I think I'm going to give a night or two in the desert next time and will be using Shahi Palace as a base. All in all, a great stay, highly recommended and one I want to do again soon!

The rooftop view was indeed stunning, with the fort adding a majestic backdrop. The overall atmosphere at the hotel was relaxing and welcoming, perfect for unwinding. I particularly enjoyed the rooftop area and restaurant services, which enhanced the experience. Dining on the rooftop was also a highlight, offering delicious cuisine alongside breathtaking views. The staff was attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable.

The best hotel and their architecture make very shine and rooms are very clean and staff was very helpful even the manager Mr. Akshay Ji is very kind and friendly,view from the rooftop is beautiful to see the golden fort in wide is also very nice, I recommend Shahi Palace Hotel Jaisalmer.

Our stay at hotel shahi palace is very good . The room was good and had hot water 24 x 7 . The rooms is decorated with local fabrics. And the stone bed is something different for us. The roof top three not to be forgotten, it has superb view of fort ,during the day or night its very romantic. I will definitely recommend everyone and I will come back for longer stay .

I was there for three nights. It is a quiet place to stay. You can taste delicious food while you watching the wonderful fort views. They have also a safari company so they can help you to arrange a big adventure on the desert. I would stay in this beautiful hotel again

I booked one night in the Shahi Palace hotel, and ended up staying for 3. I stayed in two different rooms, both beautiful and well laid out, with comfortable beds… The service was great and after the usual attractions, I was treated to see a, little visited by tourists, step well and temple, Bada Bagh, Sambhali Trust Jaisalmer, plus I learned how to make (using a real cow dung oven) dal bhati charma…(and I ate it afterwards). The owner and his family are very hospitable people who go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. .The staff are also attentive and kind. The jeep safari was great, all my last minute requests catered for and I tried local food I perhaps would not have tried. I would certainly recommend a night at this palace.

Nice and good behaviour of all staff of hotel and specially Vijay bhaiya and Devilal Ji the owner of hotel. This hotel provide the roof top resturant with Jaisalmer fort view and food is very delicious by the restaurant. Specially thanks to Devilal ji provide this facility to me.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

I stay in shahi palace hotel is located in Jaisalmer fort It's very comfortable and cozy stay . Staff are very helpful and caring Shahi palce are aslo rooftop restaurant and view was awesome To jaisalmer fort. I whould recommend for sure this hotel . Location easy to find

We had booked rooms in this lovely place and the stay here was very good. The rooms are clean. The best part was the open roof restaurant which has the fort view just behind the hotel. The fort view is osom in the morning and is beautiful at nyt. The food is very good too. The owner is a very good person who personally visits you to get feedback. The staff here is also supportive and is always available to help. Am giving 4.5/5 just to keep a room for small improvements

We stayed at shahi palace during my friend's visit to jaisalmer. The hotel was recommended by my friend . They picked us up early in the morning 5am and gave us room for rest till our booked room became available. We booked a fort view room which was beautiful and we could see the fort from the windows. The rooftop terrace offers a fantastic view of the city, fort view , during the day , sunset or at nights is superb. The food was good too . Overall we enjoyed our stay at shahi palace and recommend it to everyone.
