I read some bad reviews and chalked it up to people expecting too much from the hotel. I should have listened and you should listen to my review and go elsewhere. I am literally lying in the bed typing this now. It couldn't wait. No on-site parking, you have to walk down a sketchy street to get your car($24 per day for self parking) There was exactly 2 parking spaces to park fir check in. One is occupied by a shuttle so there is one space. It's a busy street with one lane each way so getting into the one space was difficult. The area seems less than desirable. Low end shops and fast food. Crazy guy screamed at my wife and I so she wanted to come back to the hotel. I wouldn't be comfortable having my wife or kids here by themselves. Finally the room SUCKS, the bed is decent, bathroom seems ok. But it smells like mold. I feel like I am in basement that recently flooded. I am on the 5th floor not near the basement. Looks like an extremely cheap room makeover. Painted over damaged doors and walls. When I first stepped into the room it felt like I was going to fall thru the floor. A big super soft spot under the carpet. One of the dressers is missing the top drawer. I don't think the heat is working, it's 62 in the room and like 50 outside. You can tell they tried to cover the smell with something but it's not working. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more and stay somewhere nicer. Good luck

I would not even consider staying here. We brought our kids to New York City for the first time so we were not familiar with the area at all. We arrived early so we could possibly leave our car and take alternative transportation into the city.good luck with very limited parking in that lot. I’d you arrive later in the evening plan on parking further out. The area is very run down which felt unsafe to us. Upon entering the hotel we noticed just how dirty it actually was from the front of the hotel to the check in desk. It looked like no one has cleaned it in months. We talked to the front desk to inquire about canceling due to feeling unsafe and the hotel just seeming not clean. We were told they were sold out for the night however they would not allow us to cancel. I even called IHG reservations who tried to get them to allow us to cancel however they refused. It seems to me if they were fully booked they would allow us to cancel at 9 am. Very disappointed in this location.

Despite booking a bed in a 12-bed room, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and the daily cleaning routine carried out by the diligent hostel staff. Adding to the positive experience, the Hi New York hostel's location proved to be exceptionally convenient for exploring major destinations. The hostel's close proximity to a subway station, just a 2-minute walk away, made traveling around the city a breeze. This accessibility enhanced the overall convenience of my stay, allowing me to easily reach and explore various attractions without any hassle. The strategic location near the subway station was undoubtedly a valuable asset for anyone looking to make the most of their time in the city. We stayed at the Element this past weekend and had a fantastic experience. Quick Overview - Staff was super nice, picked us up from the airport, held our bags while we went into the city before check in, Path station is across the street, great location with several restaurants nearby, hotel lobby and our room was clean, breakfast had plenty of variety (even stayed open 5 extra minutes for our teenagers who over slept), they have a nice bar & grill with good food and reasonable prices. Then to top it off, my daughter left her vintage magazine she bought in NYC. I thought for sure it was gone. Nope, the staff found it and dropped it in the mail to us this morning. AAA+++ Customer Service

We stayed here as one of stops during our road trip. It’s so hard to find a safe, clean modern hotels within budget in the area we were traveling to. We decided to pick this hotel based on travelers pictures and reviews. Yes, the hotel is outdated but not as bad. The bathroom looks like ones in 90’s. The carpets especially in hallways looked to be updated. Having said that, the hotel in surprisingly clean particularly the bathroom. I used to work in a hotel before and recently stayed at a courtyard hotel in another town and I could see some mildew / mold in shower but I didn’t see any in this outdated looking bathroom - Kudos to housekeeping team! In terms of parking, I saw ‘park at your own signs at parking lot. Not sure what it means but just want to give a heads up to everyone planning to stay here. Having said that, our stay was safe and comfortable overall.

My wife and I stay at this hotel after every Jets game. The staff are very friendly & accommodating especially Nimita. As the title states this is our home away from home and we are treated like family.

It’s at the average level. It’s far away from the airport, however if you take a taxi, it costs 6mins and 35 dollars!!!!! All the facilities are not at the expectation but the having enough space (quite big). The bed is comfortable to sleep. The toilet at the bathroom is always full of water (not dirty), it’s normal? Curious about that…… And the hotel service is also acceptable. Overall, as a Hilton hotel, it is under my expectation.

Long way to the shuttle bus point and waiting more than 30 minutes for the next pick up. Other than this inconveniences, everything is ok in the hotel.

The internal environment is very good, the hotel is very new, free breakfast is included, lunch and dinner can be ordered from the menu, the service attitude is good, but the location is not very convenient, only Uber, buses and subway stations can't get around, next to the viaduct
