"After years of using Trip.com, this is my first negative review, as I simply cannot accept the experience at this five-star hotel. Upon checking in, I found old, dried bloodstains on the inner duvet. I contacted the front desk, and a staff member came to verify. When they pulled back the curtains, I saw that the entire set of inner bedding was covered in large, yellow stains. The staff member immediately grabbed the dirty duvet and quickly took it away, clearly trying to prevent me from taking photos for evidence. The hotel fully acknowledged the hygiene issues. (There were many other bizarre incidents in between, but I'm too lazy to write them all down). Afterward, while I was updating my Trip.com concierge, the hotel manager called me. I put the call on speakerphone, and the Trip.com customer service representative heard the entire negotiation with the hotel manager. Later, they called me privately multiple times, offering compensation to have me delete the order. They first offered 200 yuan, and after I refused, they increased it to 500 yuan. I believe no one has the right to suppress a customer's honest review. This incident shows that the ratings displayed on hotel platforms have very low参考性 (reliability/referential value). The hotel attempted to cover up its hygiene shortcomings with monetary compensation, which would mislead subsequent consumers about the hotel's true quality. For a room rate of 1681 yuan, advertised as a five-star brand standard, the hotel failed to meet even basic hygiene norms. The sanitation conditions were far worse than budget hotels costing a few hundred yuan, posing significant health risks. I hope that Jinan's market regulatory authorities will strengthen oversight of the high-end five-star hotel industry, standardize hotel operations and hygiene cleaning standards, and provide accurate information for tourists planning to stay, urging them to exercise caution and avoid this hotel."

"The room cleanliness was okay, but there was a strange odor I couldn't quite place. The environment was pretty average, but for the price, it was decent. Their breakfast, however, was excellent with a wide variety and good taste. Considering the price, it's really good value for a one-night layover. "The Grand Metropark Hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance to all of Jinan's famous attractions. Being a high-rise, its top-floor revolving restaurant offers stunning views of the Jiefang Pavilion, Chaoran Tower, Daming Lake, and Qianfo Mountain. The elevated position also means street noise doesn't reach the rooms, making them incredibly quiet. The hotel service is also very good. Our room came with 10 bottles of mineral water and a welcome fruit platter. The room itself is spacious, with a completely separate bedroom and bathroom area. The bathtub, shower, sink, and toilet occupy a large space, truly reflecting the essence of a five-star hotel. The front desk staff, especially one lovely lady, was exceptional. On our first day, we arrived early, and she encouraged us to go sight-seeing first, even kindly giving us directions to Qianfo Mountain. When we returned, our luggage had already been placed in our room. After check-out, she even gave us a bag of snacks. A big thank you to the wonderful lady! The photos included were taken from the restaurant, showcasing the Jiefang Pavilion, Chaoran Tower, Daming Lake, and Qianfo Mountain."

"Pros: Very close to Jinan Sports Center and Stadium, just across the road. However, you need to arrive 30-40 minutes early for ticket checks and to buy drinks inside the venue. Even though the decor is a bit dated, it's an old five-star hotel, so the quality is still guaranteed. The rooms are spacious enough, and the service is very attentive. Cons: I wish there were more robots for food and delivery! There are too few robots, so it's usually better to go downstairs and pick up orders like bubble tea yourself."

Regarding the service, everyone staying here is typically catching a flight the next day, and we were no exception, with an early morning flight. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the airport that can be tailored to your flight time, which is incredibly important and convenient."
