"Here's a summary of my three-day trip: the worst Huazhu hotel I've ever stayed at. Front Desk Service: Extremely poor. 1. Upon check-in, I was asked to pay for a room upgrade, which I did. I specifically requested *not* to be put in a room near the elevator, yet they gave me the closest room to it. I had to go back downstairs to the front desk to get them to change it. 2. The front desk staff's attitude was terrible. I paid good money to stay here, not to be given dirty looks. It took over half an hour for the delivery robot to bring my takeout, and it only moved after I called the front desk to chase it up. 3. I informed the front desk in the morning to clean my room. When I returned after 9 PM, it still hadn't been cleaned. They casually asked if I wanted it cleaned *then*. Do you really think having the room cleaned at 10 PM, when we're about to sleep, wouldn't disturb us even more? 4. I asked the front desk to help dry my clothes, but they weren't dried at all and were damp. I wonder if the boss hires so many staff just for them to do nothing. Now, about the restaurant: 1. The restaurant is outside the hotel, and the surroundings are terrible. It smelled awful outside the restaurant, completely ruining my appetite for breakfast in the morning. 2. The breakfast selection was very limited. 3. The small breakfast rolls were moldy, as shown in the picture. How on earth did those make it to the table? How can such an irresponsible hotel be part of the Huazhu chain? Next, the room facilities: 1. The air conditioning only produced cold air when set below 10 degrees. Why wasn't I informed that the AC was faulty? Do you find this amusing in the middle of summer? 2. The hallways and elevators were always stuffy and hot. 3. I tried calling the front desk multiple times from the room phone, but couldn't get through. 4. The remote control was hit or miss. 5. The bed sheets were a bit dirty, with what looked like oil or blood stains. When I checked in, it felt a bit damp, and the duvet quality was also very poor (see picture). 6. The dryer and washing machine were very inefficient. It's the first time I've seen a dryer take two hours and still not dry clothes. Overall Rating: Facilities are average, hygiene is average, environment is terrible, service is exceptionally poor. You get what you pay for, but the price of this hotel is severely inflated. It's worth about 80 yuan a night, and at over 200 yuan a night, you really don't deserve it."

"Hospitality and service were good, but my room (6211) smelled of smoke even though I requested a non-smoking room, and there were even “no smoking” signs in the hallway and room itself. The staff couldn’t change my room for me because the hotel was fully booked that night, so she offered to spray some air freshener in the room. Sleeping in that room was almost unbearable but since I only had to stay 1 night, so I endured. There were a decent variety at the hotel breakfast, serving Chinese cuisine such as porridge, fried rice with a few side dishes, steamed buns, sweet potatoes, yoghurt, coffee and tea."

"Booked two rooms for my elderly parents and kids. They upgraded us for free, which was a nice surprise. The front desk staff were very friendly and even gave us an extra power card. The room had six bottles of water, which was great. The hotel is centrally located, just a few minutes by bike or electric scooter to all the attractions, and there are plenty of food options nearby. The beds weren't too soft, so we slept very comfortably. I also liked the motion-sensor light in the bathroom at night."

"The toilet wasn't flushed, there was a lot of hair on the floor, and the hygiene was poor. The hotel had just been renovated, and the smell was very strong and pungent. I suggest not opening for business if it doesn't meet the standards for opening. Since I checked in late at night, I didn't have the energy to deal with anything else and went to sleep. I felt nauseous and didn't sleep well all night because of the pungent smell."

It has a swimming pool, and with a bus stop right outside, transportation is quite convenient. However, there aren't many casual dining options nearby. Overall, the value for money is just average."

"Had a great stay. The location is easy to find, and the Impression Jinan shops nearby offer a truly authentic local experience. The room was clean and comfortable. It's not far from the attractions, and getting around by taxi or subway is very convenient. The service was excellent. Guest Relations Manager Lorna is very warm and thoughtful; she always arranges the room perfectly for us whenever we visit. They even promptly contacted me and mailed back an item I left behind in the room. It's really great. Jinan is a city where the bustling areas and the local, down-to-earth vibes are quite distinctly separated, with a strong sense of local life. Most importantly, the prices are very reasonable, with no obvious premium, which is fantastic. I'll definitely be back!"

Although the breakfast selection wasn't huge, everything tasted great, especially the pancakes – they were a delightful surprise and absolutely delicious. The only downside was the hairdryer. The airflow was so weak it was almost useless, and the plug was so loose I had to hold it in place. This is really poor for a five-star hotel; they should definitely consider replacing them, even a hairdryer costing just a hundred yuan would be a huge improvement. Overall, it was still a very good stay."
