It is a small hostel. Staffs were nice. I like it as a family style However, I thought I booked the single room but it wasn't. I requested to change to single room but all full. Other than that, everything was good.

Let’s start with good things. There is little kitchen you can use. There is free tea. There are two showers and one toilet room near the former entrance. Washing machine is free. The place is opened 24 hours. Wifi is fine. The mat and pillow are comfy. English-friendly. Now, some bad things. It seems that the place knew much better days. Now, as many others, it became a home for those who work, not travel. It means it is still noisy after 22:00 in the dorm room. Guys can turn on the lights and leave them on. Locker doors slamming, etc. A few tenants did not care about clearing shower after them, same with the toilet slippers that are mandatory but tenants use the ordinary ones. If you are sensitive for this, consider choosing another place or at least a private room.

I loved staying here!! It had such a great communal vibe to it. One of my favorite memories from traveling Japan is sitting at the low tables in the common area, eating a convenience store dinner and watching baseball on the tv. I was only there 3 nights but it felt like it would’ve been an easy place to settle into for a longer stay. There was a fridge and kitchen, two showers & toilets, laundry, luggage storage, lockers, etc. Very close to the train station. Rooms were clean, I felt like the staff did a great job on the upkeep. I would definitely recommend you stay here. The only thing to be aware of is that the mattresses are really thin so the sleeping surface feels really hard.

Very close to Kagoshima Chuo, cozy, everything is there. A towel costs 100 yen, bunk beds; closed with a curtain, has its own kitchen, dining area. Bath and shower are normal. I really liked the location, the staff. Everything is great for unpretentious tourists. Good luck!

The location is good, next to Kagoshima Chuo Station. The hygiene is average. I guess they don't even change the duvet covers, just the pillowcases and flyers. It's next to the railway, so it can be a bit noisy when the train passes by.

Kagoshima Minor Asia Inn is a really cozy place! The hotel is conveniently located near many eateries and attractions within walking distance. The room was clean and tidy, and it was well decorated and felt very warm. The front desk staff is friendly and enthusiastic and is always there to help you with your questions.

It was very conveniently located near Kagoshima Chuo Station. It also has a kitchen, refrigerator, washing machine, etc., so I think it's suitable for long-term stays.

This is my second time staying here. It's close to Kagoshima Chuo Station, the reception is polite, and the rooms, bathrooms, and toilets are clean. I'd like to stay here again when I go to Kagoshima.

I stayed here for two nights because it was close to the station, the price was reasonable, and the reviews said it was clean. The building is old, but it was well-cleaned. I stayed for two nights, but the sheets were changed (they were on the bed, so you lay them down yourself). The shower, toilet, and washroom are shared by men and women. I went to a public bath and hot spring, so I didn't use the shower. The entrance is unlocked, so you can enter and exit freely 24 hours a day. The entrance to the room is unlocked, too. However, since it was next to the shared floor, I didn't feel uneasy. They come to turn off the lights at 10pm (it's dimly lit after the lights are turned off). There is a lockable box in the room for valuables (suitcases won't fit). It was enough for me since I only needed to sleep. Thank you for your help. *Recommended for experienced travelers.

I stayed here to coincide with the Kagoshima Marathon. I wouldn't say that the service, cleanliness, or location were great, but the value for money was excellent.
